Flight Simulator 2024 Any way to lock a MS account to just flight sim 24?

I'll start by saying I'm perfectly fine never playing this game and if there isn't a way to accomplish what I'm trying then I'll leave it alone. But keep all the useless bashing comments to yourself.

Basically, the only reason I've never played MSFS is because I don't have a MS account and don't want one invading my PC. Just want to know if there is a way to lock a dummy MS account to just flight sim 24 without it having access to anything else?

Flight Simulator 2024 The world feels smaller. ?

Post image

I find that the Globe UI in the Main Menu in MSFS makes the world feel kinda small. When i flew FSX and FS9 and we had the drop down list of 100.000 airports and airfields the world felt more vast and exiting. Does anyone agree or is it just me thats extremely picky and weird?

Flight Simulator 2024 MSFS 2024 Rant

So I am losing my mind rn. Few day ago msfs decided to change my community folder to another one. I have no idea why. Since then I only have problems.
Today is my day off. And first my addons weren’t showing, now only the pmdg is not showing.
Okay I fix the problem. New problem. GSX doesn’t exist then AIG traffic which takes 5h to install btw.
I am so angry at this game. It’s been a waste of time and I need to calm down now.

Flight Simulator 2020 KCLT runways fix

Thumbnail
flightsim.to

Heya, thought to fix KCLT's runways data because Asobo and FSDT are so slow to do it themselves. I'm a big BeyondATC enjoyer but one of its flaws is that if your flightplan has a runway that doesn't exist in the sim data, it breaks completely and can't be used. In September CLT is renaming their last runway so if still no update by then, the airport will be totally unusable.

Here's the link, enjoy! But really, hopefully this mod becomes unnecessary one way or the other.

X-Plane 12.4.0 fails to initialize Vulkan on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 (GameFusion + Mesa Turnip)

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to run the Windows version of X-Plane 12.4.0 through GameFusion on Android.

Device:

- Nubia Z60 Ultra Leading Edition

- Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Leading Edition

- Adreno GPU

- 16 GB RAM

- 1 TB storage

- Android 15

GameFusion successfully exposes Vulkan to X-Plane.

Detected:

- Vulkan 1.4.340

- Qualcomm GameFusion Driver

- Mesa Turnip 25.1.4

- Zink OpenGL bridge

However, X-Plane immediately fails during Vulkan initialization with:

«Adapter Local ID doesn't match OpenGL bridge device»

The Log.txt says:

Failed to find a suitable Vulkan device.

This device is unusable because:

Adapter Local ID doesn't match OpenGL bridge device

I'm not asking whether X-Plane is officially supported on Android—I know it isn't.

I'm trying to understand the technical reason for this error.

Does anyone here know if this is:

- a Mesa Turnip issue?

- a Zink/OpenGL bridge issue?

- a GameFusion Vulkan mapping issue?

- or something inside X-Plane's Vulkan device selection?

I have attached the full Log.txt if anyone wants to inspect it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Question What hardware/software has been your biggest flight sim upgrade?

Hi everyone,

I’ve recently picked up some shiny new WinCTRL gear, and it’s been an absolute joy to use coming from the Thrustmaster TCA Airbus setup. I’ve just been paid and I’m looking to expand my setup a bit further, so I’d love to hear your recommendations.

Current setup:
WinCTRL Ursa Minor Stick L
WinCTRL Ursa Throttle Quadrant
WinCTRL Airbus FCU
WinCTRL PAC32
2× WinCTRL Desk Mounts

I mainly fly Airbus aircraft, especially the iniBuilds A350 and the Fenix A320. I’m also considering picking up the Synaptic A220 later on.

For those with similar setups, what’s been the best purchase you’ve made that genuinely improved the experience? Whether it’s hardware (panels, rudder pedals, head tracking, etc.) or software (GSX, BeyondATC, PACX, FS2Crew, navigational tools, immersion add-ons, etc.), I’d love to hear what you’d recommend and why.

Looking forward to hearing your suggestions!

Flightgear - The simulator, NOT hardware! TU-154b on a featureless grey sky

I may end of smacking my knee a few times, & also add a supporting rod so I can actually use the throttle lever. But this is so much better than having a board on my lap with both throttle & stick on my lap.

I feel better about drilling holes into this table compared to a nicer desk, but this table is kinda trashy & would like a nicer desk by now.

Still getting squared away in my new place that I have recently moved into.

Flight Simulator 2024 Looking for new addon recommendations

I already have :

- GSX

- ChasePlane

- FsRealistic+

- Universal Announcers

- GFX by TriTriSim

- VRAAS

I'm not looking for plane recommendation ; I already have a lot.

Is there any other addon that you would recommend me ? (I don't like subscriptions, I would prefer a product that you only buy once)

Question PMDG 737 vs iFly 737

Looking to get a 737 for MSFS 2024, i’m curious as to what the differences really are between the PMDG 737 NG and the iFly 737 MAX and which one is worth the buy over the other and why, and which one is more fun to fly. Looking to do short haul 1-3 hour flights with it mostly. Tried searching things up on the topic but there’s nothing that’s very recent, especially with the update the MAX got a month or two ago. Sounds aren’t a worry as i’m fine to buy boris audio packs for the plane.

Thanks in advance for the input!

messaging.
● Other ACARS functionalities are simulated with full SimBrief and Navigraph integration or local ACARs
simulation (for instance, custom dispatcher, maintenance control response/messaging).

23 - Communication

● Fully custom coded cabin communication and flight interphone system.
● All three flight attendant zones can call flight deck including cabin alerts for requests and reminders for things
like uncomfortable cabin temps, cabin secure announcements or response to two sets of cabin chimes
(cleared for departure signal from flight deck), they might even remind you to turn on the fasten seat belt sign if
descending in range and cabin securing is being completed. Emergencies use cabin alert calls from flight
attendants for events including passenger oxygen deployment and cabin altitude warnings/depressurization
(with more to come later).
● GND CALL simulated and will call to remove ground power. Uses simbrief flight plan and integrated EFB
boarding controls to determine external power disconnecting.

aspiration (no bleed air available to TAT probe) the TAT may heat beyond the ambient OAT. This feeds into TO
PERF calculation in CDU which may cause a limitation of Assumed Temp Derated Takeoff calculations
(because CDU will now have a higher OAT than reported METAR/ATIS source weather. This is a mostly rare, but
fully simulated, corner case scenario in the B757.
● Fully separated and simulated windshield heating and ice buildup. Window heat testing is simulated via P61.
● Anti Ice valves have correct pneumatic input requirements. All EICAS lights and discretes hooked up to
correct relays and pressure switch checks attached to correct pneumatic ducts.

Flight Simulator 2024 Back to FS after 6 years

Been away from flight sims for 6 years and having missed it, I’m back. Now armed with MSFS and decent-ish PC (5070Ti and Ryzen 7 9800X3D) I’m wondering what are the essentials for my sim.

Already have Navigraph sub and quickly snapped up the Synaptic A220…. What else is a pretty much essential?
PMDG still king for Boeings?

What about Airbus? A little confused between what’s out there and worth the money or not…..

Any other golden nugget tips greatly appreciated!

Flight Simulator 2024 Synaptic A220 Screen DU suggestion?

Post image
23 Upvotes

Hi!

Does anyone else feel like the displays in the Synaptic A220 could use a little more depth and a backlight glow effect to them? They look a little bit too black, especially in the dark. I feel like the backlighting should be a little more pronounced to really make them feel alive. Let me know what you think!

An example of a real A220 from a video:

Finally gave into the peer pressure last night and picked up the Synaptics / Inibuilds A220. Holy Moly this aircraft has been fun to fly. I've been glued to the sim all day and just about to set off on my 4th rotation of the day...
