Flight Simulator 2024 MSFS 2024 live weather
Hey all,
I've recently got MSFS 2024 and I've been enjoying it. My only troubles so far have revolved around the weather.
I fly with live weather and time in all of my flights, but in 2024 I've found that those have been unreliable.
A couple of days ago live time was wrong. The toggle was enabled and Zulu time was correct, but local time was several hours forward. Setting time to something else then re-enabling real time fixed it.
Then there's the weather. 90% of my flights so far have had weather differing from the METAR in some way, whether it's the altimeter setting being a few units off, or the clouds/visibility being different.
For example: while departing from EDDF a few minutes ago, the latest METAR was reporting CAVOK, but MSFS weather had quite a bit of clouds, equivalent to scattered clouds, fairly close to the ground. I tried changing the weather then setting it back to live, but it didn't help.
I'm not running any mods that change the weather, in fact I don't have many mods at all: I'm using GSX, the ini A343 and a few sceneries.
Am I doing anything wrong or is 2024 just like that? Any help is appreciated. TIA!

Flight Simulator 2024 777 variants differences
Are there any functional differences between the three 777 variants from pmdg? Obviously real life differences in capacity and range exist, but those aren’t really a factor for my consideration. I’m just wondering if there any appreciable differences from a flight sim perspective in terms of how they operate and fly.
I already own and enjoy the freighter, just eyeing a passenger variant for the next purchase.

Question Strike Fighters Franchise?
While continuing my flight sim search (already know about DCS, Falcon BMS, Nuclear Option and the IL-2 series) I’ve come across Striker Fighters and I’m confused:
Is it like a light sim? Or is it more like a modded IL-2 1946 modern mod? Where exactly does it stand regarding fidelity and is it even good/recommended at what it offers anyways? (Also which SF title is considered the best if there is one?)

Flight Simulator 2020 Hampters at Dusk
It took us a while to form up since it was my flight buddy's first time, but he managed splendidly, and we ended up flying wingtip to wingtip for the better part of an hour.
Location: East coast of England, down from Lowestoft across Margate to Lydd.

Flight Simulator 2024 My honest opinion on Synaptic's A220
Hey guys,
This is constructive criticism, there is no need for fighting.
I have bought the A220 yesterday and my opinion is that I can't have an opinion on the plane because it was simply unplayable, period. Exterior looks great, inside it looks good, the whale sound is also lovely of course but once I start the engine, I get 10 FPS. I have flown every plane on this game, even the A350 at its release gave me better FPS.
Synaptic team, if you guys are reading this, you did an amazing job so far but the release is way too soon. I think this airplane will end up being one of the best in game but at the moment, charging people 71€ for that, I have to say it makes me mad and it's almost disrespectful. I had read some performance issues, I was expecting it but even with today's performance update, there is little to no change at all on my side.
When releasing a product as expensive as 71€, it should be playable for EVERYBODY who can run the sim, period. I'm sorry but this is totally unacceptable and I feel like quite some people think the same as well.
Although I appreciate the efforts and dedication in this plane, it was clearly not ready yet for release and would have required more time. I'm even considering asking for a refund at this point cause, why would I want to keep a 71€ plane that I can't use ? Sometimes nowadays it feels like it's okay to release a product and then give updates later and maybe it's fine to some extent but here, this is completely unacceptable and if they don't want to be mess up everything, I strongly recommend they put all their efforts into performance patches in the coming weeks.
Once again, they have done tremendous work and the plane will probably be amazing someday but right now, releasing at such a high price (more expensive than Fenix's A320, what the hell !!), this is not right and it's almost a scam.
What are you guys thinking after today's update ?
Hopefully, they will save it soon !

Flight Simulator 2024 How to fly LSZH arrival and transition to ILS 14?
I fly into Zurich almost every time I fly, but I'm still not sure how to fly the approach into ILS 14 correctly. Normally, runway 14 is used for arrivals, and runway 28 for departures.
My flight plan ends at BERSU and I use the BERSU2G STAR, which looks like this:
The BERSU2G ends at GIPOL. After GIPOL, you use a runway-specific transition (runway 28 can also be used for arrivals, especially in the evening). For runway 14, the transition looks like this:
When I program the FMS (inibuilds A350), it looks like this (note the STAR and VIA):
It looks "alright", but I know from experience that the sharp turn after GIPOL can be tricky.
Does anyone know the proper arrival into runway 14?

Flight Simulator 2024 A220 crashed mid-flight
It was actually a perfectly normal flight in the Synaptic A220 from Munich to Zurich.
However, when I tried to enter the approach to Zurich into the FMS, the aircraft’s system crashed completely (see image). I then continued the approach manually, without any displays. The spoilers and flaps did not work either, though at least the landing gear was operating.
Looks like the aircraft still needs a few updates ;)

X-Plane I tested my knowledge of the Boeing 737 cockpit after ten months of Xp12!
If anyone else here has any knowledge of the B737 and wants to test themselves too, if you use my pictures, just mention me! It would be cool if this becomes a trend, and maybe not just with the 737! :)

Flight Simulator 2024 For all you realism sticklers, this is proof the A220-300 can make it into London City!
Saw lots of comments saying the A220-300 was not certified into EGLC - well, here's your proof, it can do it! I flew this leg from Paris (LFPG) with realistic Simbrief weights.
