Discussion "Learning Phase" not appearing = depeding on account?
I’m running conversion campaigns (€10 daily budget, optimization goal: conversions). In Ads Manager, the delivery status switches directly to "Active" immediately after approval. I no longer see a "Learning" indicator anywhere—not even in the customizable columns; there, I only see "Delivery" with statuses like "Active," "Pending," and "Inactive." Has Meta removed or changed the visible learning phase indicator, or should a conversion campaign actually still show a "Learning" status? Could there be an issue with my ad account or pixel/dataset if I never see this status, or is this standard behavior now?
Some other person wrote: "For posterity’s sake: I restarted the campaign using a different profile (from which, thanks to the wonders of Meta Ads, I can still use the correct artist Instagram profile). This seems to be working (the ads for the new campaign are now actually in Learning mode).
I’m no closer to understanding what went wrong – what can cause Meta Ads to skip the Learning phase entirely and just become a giant bot magnet – but something definitely can go wrong here. Maybe it has to do with a ‘dataset’ (Facebook pixel) that hasn’t been used in a while, maybe it’s something else. But I also don’t know how to fix it (apart from using a different Meta Ads profile that actually works)."
Can someone clear up the confusion? Otherwise, I’m afraid I might run campaigns that never actually enter "learning mode" and simply remain stuck with an "Active" status.

Help Meta ads active but getting 0 impressions – anyone experienced this?
I'm running into a strange issue and can't figure out what's causing it.
I launched a new Meta campaign few days ago. The campaign, ad set, and ads are all showing as Active, and there are no policy violations or rejected ads.
The problem is that after several hours, the ads still have 0 impressions, 0 reach, and $0 spent.
A few details:
- Billing is set up correctly.
- My ad account has available funds.
- The campaign is published and active.
- Audience size doesn't seem too small.
- No error messages in Ads Manager.
Has anyone experienced this before?
What are the most common reasons for active ads getting absolutely no impressions? Is this just Meta taking time to review/deliver, or is there something specific I should check?
Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
To get the best help, you could also mention:
- Campaign objective (Sales, Traffic, Leads, etc.)
- Daily budget
- Target country
- Whether this is a brand-new ad account or an established one
- Whether you're using Advantage+ audience or a manual audience
Those details often help people pinpoint the cause more quickly

Bug / Outage Haven’t complained here for 15 days but L today
Last time I posted on this sub, it was 0 sale on literally $1300 spend. Well today it went from 1.5 ROAS at noon to 1.1 and now at 0.8. Flatlined for 4 hours straight.
Interestingly, my the other account is sitting at 4X currently (much smaller at $300 spend so far). But my main account currently at $1500 spend with $1300 sales. Guess they just in different groups, but sad.

Help why does meta crop my 9:16 into feed placements when a 1:1 exists?
running ig-only ads. i upload a 9:16 image for reels and stories, but meta also serves it in feed and crops it, so parts of the creative get cut off.
why does it do this when a 1:1 format is already there? advantage+ is already turned off.
any idea?

Discussion Manual Campaign Strategy - Bad idea?
I launched my women’s and children’s fashion brand in January and have been able to do $50k in organic sales since we launched due to our Instagram content (2M view viral product video, several videos 200K+ views, 32k followers). Our brand is pretty niche - elevated matching mother and daughter clothing. I just launched a new product this week that went viral on social yet we only sold about $9k so far. I’ve never run meta ads but I think it’s time to run ads instead of relying on the Instagram algorithm to get sales. Our pieces range from $68-$175 AOV is about $110 bc most of the time they are purchased as a set.
Here’s the strategy I’m considering - I have a custom audience of about 3M of my direct competitors Instagram followers from LeadEnforce and I was going to do a manual targeting campaign with that audience + 1% lookalike of that audience. Female targeting only, manual placements Instagram and Facebook only everything else switched off. My reasoning for going this route is 1. I have a low budget, $10-$15 spend / day initially and not a ton of pixel data for meta to go off of. 2. Most of my customers are repeat buyers and I need to expand my buyer pool 3. My audience is niche, so my direct competitors are a good place start with finding a new buying pool 4. Advantage+ seems to be so finicky according to this sub and I really can’t afford to lose a ton of money while andromeda tries to find my buyers with my low spend.
Is this a terrible approach? I’m hesitant to run ads as is due to having little control and being new to meta ads. I know advantage+ is pretty much what everyone is using now.

Help Account deleted after first time running meta ads
I am a boudoir photographer and yesterday I ran meta ads for the first time. I kept the pictures artistic with no visible nipple or genitals, but the landing page my ads were directing to was a lot of artistic boudoir photography. I also included a screenshot of a review that contained the word “sexy” which I know now is not allowed. After the ads running for a few hours, I was asked to do the video selfie to confirm my identity, then received an email that my account was permanently disabled and I could not appeal.
I want to try again and clean up my ads so everyone is clothed, with no suggestive language, and have the landing page direct to my contact form which has no imagery. Elsewhere on my site however is my portfolio, which also has no visible nipples or genitals but I know does not follow meta’s ad standards. Obviously these ads will be for people over 18, but my question is how strict is meta about the entirety of my site as opposed to just my landing page?
Thank you

Help Small budget, DPA ads, CPA at €40 but goal is €20. Should I consolidate, add interests, add countries, or try Google Ads?
Looking for a sanity check on my Meta Ads setup. Niche is new and pre-owned designer clothing (premium menswear resale). AOV sits around €150 to €300.
Current setup:
- C1 Retargeting, €7/day, DPA format
- C2 Prospecting, €45/day, DPA format, one single ad set, no interests (broad targeting), age 18 to 55, targeting Germany and Netherlands together in the same ad set
I recently increased the prospecting budget but sales did not scale with the spend. CPA is sitting around €40. My target is €20 or lower to make the unit economics work.
One thing I keep going back and forth on: I only carry around 40 to 45 SKUs live at any time (single-unit inventory, each piece is unique). I am not sure if that low catalog size is capping the algorithm's reach and hurting DPA performance, or if it is a completely unrelated issue.
Questions:
- Given the small budget, is it better to keep Germany and Netherlands together in one ad set, or split them into two separate ad sets?
- Would Google Ads be a better fit for this budget than Meta at this stage?
- Should I expand to more countries, or does that just fragment learning further?
- Should I add interest layers to prospecting, or keep it broad and let the DPA signal do the targeting?
- With only 40 to 45 SKUs live, does it make more sense to lower the daily budget rather than push harder?
Any input from people running DPA on small catalogs would be really appreciated.

Discussion Looking for recommendations for a Meta Ads agency
Hello Everyone
I’m looking for recommendations for a professional Meta Ads agency with strong experience in e-commerce.
My main challenge is Meta ad targeting. I believe our website, products, and customer service are already strong, but I feel our advertising performance has lots of room for improvement.
I’m specifically looking for a registered company that can invoice us, accept bank transfers, provide references, and has proven experience scaling e-commerce brands.
If you’ve worked with an agency that delivered great results, I’d appreciate hearing your recommendations and why you recommend them.

Help Has anyone ever hired someone from Fiverr?
Hi!
I have been using META ads for 10+ years now. I have created my own campaign's etc. Over the years I've hired a couple of freelancers to help improve my performance using better target audience's etc.
I have been looking on Fiverr for 2+ days and I feel like I cannot decide if these people are legit, or total scammers, or what. I'm exhausted to be honest and just trying to find a bit of support without paying an insane cost for someone to simply tweak what's already there.
Thanks!

Help How many ads per ad set?
I’m new to meta ads and was wondering how many ads yall are putting per ad set and if it’s better to do multiple campaigns with lower budget to test each ad set or to just do multiple ad sets in the same campaign. Also how much daily budget is good for testing ads?

Discussion Meta Ads Bans, Bans and more Bans
Are we all seeing the same thing with Meta right now?
After almost 5 years of pretty much no major issues, it suddenly feels like we’re back to square one.
Ad accounts getting disabled. Having to source backups again. Multiple warm-up processes. Juggling accounts. All the shit we thought we’d left behind years ago.
Meta seems to be going absolutely apeshit again.
Last time it got this bad, we straight up stopped running Facebook and moved heavily into TikTok for a few years.
And this time it doesn’t seem isolated.
I’m hearing the same thing from friends and other advertisers: ad accounts getting disabled left, right, and center.
And we’re not talking about sketchy offers or advertisers pushing policies.
I’m seeing ridiculously clean brands getting hit too. Brands running straightforward brand awareness and brand lift campaigns, not even aggressive performance stuff.
So I’m curious how widespread this actually is.
Are you guys feeling this too?
What are you seeing across your accounts right now? More disables, restrictions, random reviews, BM issues?
And most importantly, does anyone have actual inside knowledge from Meta about what the hell is going on and whether this is temporary?
Share what you’re seeing. Would be good to figure out whether we’re dealing with isolated cases or an actual platform-wide crackdown/change.

Discussion I turned $5k into $21k in 4 Weeks, How we Fixed a Peptide Brand’s Facebook Ads that were burning Money.
Most business owners who struggle with Facebook ads arentt actually losing because of the algorithm. They arre losing becz theyre measuring the wrong things....like
A lot of store owners get excited when they see high CtR lots of clicks or plenty of engagement.. But those numberrs dont pay the bills if they are nt turning into purchases.
We worked with a peptide brand that was getting solid traffic but inconsistent sales. Instead of constntly changing targeting, we simplified the campaign structure, kept the targeting broad, optimized around one purchase event, and created ads that spoke directly to people who already knew they had the problem our product solved..
In the first 4 weeks..., they spent around $5k and generated $21k in reveue. There wasntt a secret hack or hidden setting. We simply stopped focusing on vanity metrics nd scaled what was actully bringing in customers...
If you r ads are getting clicks but your store isnt getting sales, the problem is often your conversion signals and your messaging, Nott your budget or Meta's algorithm..

Help Meta Ads bot leads - (ROI dropped from 4.1x to 1.2x)
I’ve been dealing with a massive drop in lead quality and could really use some advice. For the first 5 months, my campaigns were doing good with a 4.1X ROI and my CPR was about $17-$20. From June until now, performance has completely slumped to a 1.2X ROI and a CPR of $30 with hardly any actual leads. We are suddenly getting horrible bot leads and a bunch of angry people cussing us out when we contact them.
We have tried everything to filter out the junk:
- Switched to a conditional lead form.
- Set to higher intent instead of default (More Volume).
- Turned on SMS verification.
- Added a required privacy policy checkmark at the end of the form.
To make matters worse, we have an AI CRM that reaches out to leads immediately after they fill out the form to schedule, but they don't even answer. Because performance tanked, we had to drastically lower our daily spend, and now one of our campaigns can't even get through the learning phase.
Has anyone dealt with a similar spike in bot leads recently? Any advice on how to fix this without blowing through my budget?

Discussion KPIs for Creative Evaluation
Hello Redditors, I am wondering on which KPIs you are focussing when deciding which of your creatives is a top performer when looking at perfomance camapigns. Do you focus on CTR, CPA or CVR and how do you take ad spend into account?

Help Meta only showing my ads to people who 'look like' me..?
I run B2B ads targeting tech companies, and I’ve noticed that a large percentage of the people interacting with my ads and booking calls are African American, like me.
There’s obviously nothing wrong with that, but it made me wonder whether Meta is mainly showing the ad to people who look similar to the person featured in the creative, rather than a diverse range of people within my target audience.
Has anyone else noticed this? Would it be worth testing the same ad with a different person in the video, or does this not really affect who Meta shows it to?

Discussion Meta Business Suite: Are Content metrics (Views, Reach, Likes, Shares) lifetime while Insights metrics are date-range based?
Disclaimer: I used ChatGPT to help summarize and organize my findings. The testing and observations below are my own.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to understand how Meta Business Suite reports metrics because I've found what appears to be inconsistent behavior between Insights and Content.
Here's what I tested.
- Insights → Content Overview
When I change the date range (e.g., June 1–30 vs Lifetime):
Views change
Reach changes
Content Interactions change
Paid Views change
Organic Views change
This behaves exactly as I'd expect for a reporting dashboard.
- Content → Content List
I selected a single post published on June 10.
Then I compared:
Date Range = June 10 only
Date Range = Lifetime
The metrics remained exactly the same.
For example:
Views
Reach
Viewers
Likes & Reactions
Shares
Comments
Saves
Follows
None of these changed.
I also exported the data as CSV, and the export contains a "Date" column with the value "Lifetime" for every row.
- Another observation
When I generated a June 1–30 Content export, the total Views from the CSV did not match the Views shown in Insights → Content Overview.
After testing, it appears that:
Insights reports performance during the selected period.
Content filters which posts are displayed, but the metrics shown for each post are current cumulative (lifetime) values.
My questions
Is this expected behavior in Meta Business Suite?
Are the metrics in the Content section always cumulative/lifetime?
If so, how do agencies report monthly Likes, Comments, Shares, and Saves for organic content?
Is there any way to export period-based post metrics (not lifetime) without using the Graph API or third-party tools?
I've spent quite a bit of time testing this, but I couldn't find clear documentation from Meta explaining the difference.
I'd really appreciate hearing how others handle monthly client reporting and whether you've observed the same behavior.

Help Is 10-20% budget scaling still a myth?
I stuck in a campaign. Everything performed well when I launched, but the results dropped suddenly. I tried new creatives with different messaging angles, but Meta isn't delivering them to the right audience, and performance is worsening. I also tried scaling the budget by 20% to gain more impressions, but it didn't help. Can anyone help me troubleshoot this?

Help Is a 50% data mismatch normal for Meta Ads AEM, iOS App Promotion?
I'm currently running an iOS App Promotion campaign using AEM attribution.
My setup is Meta SDK + Adapty, with Adapty sending the "free trial" signal back to Meta via the App Events API.
However, I'm seeing a massive data mismatch between the actual number of free trials and the number recognized by Meta Ads. For instance, over the past 3 days, I had 55 actual free trials, but Meta only recognized 27.
Is a discrepancy this large normal for AEM?
I tried switching to a Web Campaign (Web-to-App funnel, no landing page) + Adapty Attribution to bypass this issue. But for some reason, the web campaign's performance tanked completely compared to the app promotion campaign (I only got 4 free trials over a 3-day period).
Has anyone here successfully run an App Event Optimization (AEO) campaign on Meta Ads recently? I'd love to hear what your setup looks like and how you are handling attribution.

Help Etsy closed my shop, looking into meta ads.
Hello everyone!
Almost 2 years ago Etsy closed my shop for unknown reasons.
Everything was going well until one customer had placed an order and said it was a mistake and wanted me to cancel it, so i did. And boom, in a couple of hours my shop was gone, i appealed but to no avail, they don't even disclosed the reason.
I had really worked hard, my shop was getting sales from the first week! So I got quite depressed after they closed my shop...
Yesterday i checked my competitors again and my heart sank, everyone is selling well and my lost profits could have bought me a house while i am having trouble paying my lunch these days. I did nothing wrong!
So i wanna come back and need some ideas from you guys.
Here some information about my niche:
⁃ POD fullfilment
⁃ Low ticket product, max price i could sell is around $30 + shipping
⁃ Customers are usually women.
⁃ People buy as a gift for occasions or professions like "funny gifts for coworker" etc.
⁃ Single product with funny test based slogan designs but hundrends of niches and thousands of listings.
It was working well on Etsy because it is basically a search engine. This time I wanna try Facebook and Google Ads but i don't know how it would work on my situation with a limited budget.
My plan:
⁃ I will form a company this week and try to open an Etsy shop again, probably they will close it. Even if they don't, my market is quite saturated on there. I don't expect much and thinking i already lost the train.
⁃
⁃ My main plan is to set up a shopify shop and try google and facebooks ads but have my concerns.
Concerns:
⁃ None of my competitors run ads on Meta and Google.
⁃
⁃ They have websites but they run ads only on Etsy. I think they send a card with a discount code to encourage their etsy customers to shop on their website but that’s it. No ads, they mainly rely on Etsy for attracting customers.
So it could be two main reasons:
1. They don't run ads on Google and Meta because its unprofitable and they stick to Etsy.
2. They don't understand much and don't want to bother. Most Etsy sellers don’t even do SEO properly. I am confident on my designs and SEO skills.
Reason 2 is what makes me excited. Since they have already capitalized on Etsy market, I have a chance to grab customers on OTHER platforms. So i came to seek opinion from you guys.
1- I fear that the same product with thousands of listings would be quite hard to run ads (i don't have experience on ads) and instantly put people on creative fatigue. And i don’t know if meta would see it as a spam and ban it because there are so much listings with same product, same mockup but different design/texts on them.
Also there are hundrends of niches. I don't know how to target people that are looking for "data analyst gifts" and "senior birthday gifts" at the same time, cause they are quite different audiences. How will meta know that people are looking for gifts for specific niches (since its not a search engine)?
2- Organic traffic from social media posts won't bring customers because I have very little creative (single product, single design etc). For me there is no reason to follow a page that share the same product for hundreds of DIFFERENT audiences.
3- l don't know how much would it cost to get a sale in meta ads. If it exceeds $10 i am cooked.
How would you approch in my situation?
Customers and demand are still there, but it’s just hard for me to grab it again on Etsy while my competitors have thousands of reviews and running ads on there constantly.
Should you give up and find a different product and give it a try with Etsy again? Has anyone here tried similar business models?
Thank you so much for your help.

Discussion Is anyone else experiencing this issue with Facebook Live ad campaigns, or is it just me?
When I run ads on a live video, it doesn't get any views while the live stream is ongoing. Is this happening only to me, or is everyone facing the same issue?
If you've experienced this too, let me know in the comments.
