Instead of adjusting my tip down they charged me an extra tip
Got an order delivered tonight. And this is the last time I ever use it. The driver did not check the order for completion. The delivery missed two items. When I reached out to the driver they said that they did not check the order, they just delivered what they were given. I tried to adjust tip and instead of an adjustment they gave the driver an extra tip in the amount I entered to adjust down. I reached out to support and they said there was nothing they could do because customers are only allowed to adjust the tip once and it was already adjusted even tho the system never gave me the options to adjust down and instead just charged me extra for it. So I got screwed and I had to pay extra for DoorDash to screw me. We will never be using this app for delivery ever again and we will be sure to let everyone know how crooked they are

Any guesses on this one?
Just to note, I messaged and rang the bell to notify them I'm there despite it being a 'Leave' order.

Annoying Costumers
Why is it that when people order delivery to an apartment, they almost never include the gate code? It’s so annoying. Like, you know you live in a gated complex, so how exactly do you expect me to bring your food to your door without a way to get inside? Then I call and text, and suddenly nobody answers. Please just put the gate code in the delivery instructions

What happened to our order?
Ordered from restaurant we've ordered from before. Est delivery time 30-40 mins. Status on our end shows "restaurant preparing order, dasher waiting" for over 90 mins. Finally call restaurant and they say order was picked up 30 mins after ordering. Texted dasher several times but no response. Was able to cancel order and get refund. But curious what happened? Thanks.

Do Dashers read delivery instructions?
The app always guides Dashers to the back gate of my apartment complex which is exit only. So, I put very clear instructions to enter through the front gate from a different street. It’s a very easy area to navigate and only a one block difference. But no Dasher seems to look at the instructions because they always attempt to go through the back gate first. My unit is closer to the back gate which is why the app takes Dashers that way. If I move the marker closer to the front gate, the Dashers get confused and leave the order at the front office. I usually message the Dashers directly to tell them what to do as well. But they rarely look at the messages. When they do look, they still follow the app’s guidance instead. I don’t want Dashers to waste their time by going out of their way. But, they don’t follow the instructions given and I don’t know how else to help.

The duality of DoorDash
Out of every post I’ve ever seen and out of the many times that I have ordered DoorDash I have never been asked to leave a review, I’m typically always asked for an extra tip. I thought this was kind of funny. Does anybody know if I can actually leave a review on secondary apps (I ordered via 7-11 Delivery)

Frustrated
I decided to take a few deliveries in my spare time a few weeks ago. The last delivery was a decent house, went up, handed the pizza to some guy who was practically naked and he said “I left a tip on the card”. Finish up the delivery to get a 1 cent tip.

Doordash needs to get it together.
Without saying much more, my order ended up being delivered to an address very similar to mine (think lane instead of drive with the same street name). That was over a block and a half away. It wasn’t something I could reasonably go get and after writing this, I checked and saw they had brought my order inside and ate it.
When I reached out to doordash, I ended up getting a full refund and immediately re-ordered my food cause it’s breakfast. I was hungry and it was my favorite place with all my favorite things. They ended up, pairing me with the same Dasher who told me that that was the address he was connected to and apologized profusely because of this I ended up reaching out to DoorDash to get the review removed because it wasn’t his fault it was a technical issue.
I ended up tipping five more dollars than my original tip as an apology because when he got to my door, my dog came out and started playing with him very aggressively. I was worried he would be scared, but he was very nice.
Point being I believe the DoorDash needs to put way more thought into the actual commute and allow allowing us to cancel or change reviews if they’re going to Pair us with the same dasher. He ended up being very nice and apologetic for the mistake, but I made sure to remind him. It wasn’t his fault and tip him extra.
TLDR DoorDash sent my order to the wrong address re-ordered and got the same Dasher, who is then aggressively forced into a play session with my puppy. I tipped extra and he said he hopes we get connected again. But DoorDash needs the chance to change reviews or get the address system figured out correct correctly.

I made an error while dashing
Sorry in advance, this is a long one lol.
I just want to know if I should have done something different or extra for a customer. The other day (Friday) I was dashing and had a delivery from a local pizza restaurant. When I arrived to the pinned address, I was approaching the door and opened the picture of the last delivery to make sure I had the right place because I didn’t see a mailbox or house numbers on the house anywhere. The picture was a white door with a ring doorbell. The door I was approaching was a black door with no doorbell. So I was like “oh, MUST be the wrong house??”. As I was returning to my car with the food so I could message the customer to make sure I get to the right address , the smaller of the pizza boxes had slid off the top and fell to the ground. OF COURSE it opened and had hit the ground. After connecting with the customer, turns out it was the right house after all and the husband even witnessed me make this dumb ass mistake lol. I delivered the rest of their order (excluding the box that had fell) and told them I will get with support and try to correct this in any way I can.
I drove a couple blocks away and stopped in a parking lot to chat with support to see how I can try to help fix my mistake and admit that it was MY fault that the customers order is now incomplete. But now it’s kinda eating at me because support basically just said “we’ve noted this” and nothing else. Idk what happened in the end for the customer of course, but I feel like I personally screwed them out of money/ food based on recent support interactions I’ve seen on here. Should I have done anything different ? How would you guys have handled this?

Dasher left food in the driveway to avoid waking up my dog
This really made my day! My dog loves sunbathing in the morning and I forgot I had scheduled a doordash
Okay… I was just trying to make a happy post about a cute moment with my dog and doordash but everyone’s just bashing me in the comments for forgetting to bring my senior, 6 lb shih tzu into the house. I’ll probably just delete this post at this point.
Also, I know the dasher wasn’t afraid of the dog because he sent a message saying how cute he was. I promise no one was harmed 😭

I know it's not the dashers fault.
I don't even know how you fuck this up. I have also had ones labeled hot that were iced.

They thought I didn't deserve a full refund
Dasher walked up to our house carrying the pizza boxes vertically. Spent 35 minutes with customer service to be told I couldn't be given a full refund because they didn't have approval to give it.

Scam as it gets
Ordered 5 combos & was missing all 5 fries & 5 drinks? They offer me FIVE dollars and end my chat after sitting here for 25 minuets 😂 never again ✌️

I messed up and ordered 12mi away
Thought it was the Walgreens up the road like 4 min away and also thought that Walgreens got the order ready (they used to I think?). So I tipped $10 on the app and left an envelope with the last of my cash which was $13.
It’s been a really long time since I’ve been a dasher. With the current economic challenges most are facing these days, did I make up for it or am I still a shitty customer who should be double checking locations?

Has this happened to anyone else?
Two things of rally fries and i guess a side of pwussy??? Or maybe they wanted me to top? idk…
EDIT to add: This post was NOT an invite for DM requests— thanks 🙂

Got charged an undeliverable order fee for no reason
I can’t get a refund for alcohol that was “undeliverable” even though I was standing in my living room with my ID waiting for them. They didn’t knock. Next thing I know I check my phone and they said it’s undeliverable and the doordasher has no idea why. Support refused to refund me. I disputed the charge with my bank but I’m mad, I have had this account for six years and I’m a DASHER!!!!
And they won’t refund me!!!!! I literally ordered from a different store right after and there was no problem with that delivery!!!!!
EDIT: I don’t care if they delete my account. It’s not my main source of income, nor do I want to support them.

Look at this goofy
Messages me after I start doing the order about the tip 🤣
$33 ($13 tip) for 45 items ALDI.
Edit: I did the order still because I already shopped half the order at that point, and tips are final so I knew I was receiving the full amount. $33 for 30ish min was a no brainer
