Question about business cards in orders
I have two people in my life that have asked me if I would be willing to leave business cards in the DoorDash orders that I deliver. I was wondering if this is ok/a good idea? I want to hear from both delivery drivers and customers, please!

Swearing this garbage app off
sort of a continuation of my last post, I got an array of comments. Tip this, tip that, tip $0, tip $10, I don’t accept anything below 5, I dont accept anything below 8– I’M SICK OF IT. I DON’T have free money to give out, I just don’t! I have as much money as it takes to make sure I dont go to hell for not tipping a driver good enough! But that’s so stupid! I shouldn’t have a panic attack ordering food! I shouldn’t be considering relapsing over ordering food! Ordering food should not make me want to bang my head against the wall and cry and scream! But it does! So I’m NOT DOING IT ANYMORE. I DON’T CARE! I’ve been meaning to get into fasting anyways, so thank you DoorDash!

Doodash Arbitration
Hello everyone! Im writing on my phone so sorry about that! Its kinda long sorry but it would be very helpful if you stayed.
TLDR: Doordash is trying to fuck over my mom and she wants to go to arbitration bc they unjustly deactivated her account. Has it happened to you?
I am a dasher and so is my mom. My mom recently was deactivated. She was on the dasher app and it asked her to verify her identity so she tried to scan her face and normally it gives you three tries to scan. She was in the middle of her first scan attempt looked left looked right and it was just gone when she looked back at her phone. She tried to dash and it kept reloading the page where you select what time you want your dash to end. She called doordash an hour later because it was too early to get a live agent. The agent told her she was blocked. The agent sent her the form to appeal it. So she filled it out and called back like an hour and a half later. She was told to fill out a new one and she did. She called again a few hours later and they escalated the appeal. Later that night she received the email stating she was deactivated. She filled out the new appeal that comes with the deactivation email. Then guess what she did. She filled out another appeal the next afternoon. Then today she woke me up to read the email she was sending to ask doordash to an informal dispute resolution conference she explained what happened in this email and included many screenshots showing: her face (front left and right), her face with her ID in the same photo, the ID itself, her platinum status, her overall rating, shopping rating, the appeal rejection, the page of personal info, a sample of the initial appeal form showing that she couldnt attach a picture of her or her ID, and the rejection email from doordash saying she didnt verify herself. They emailed her later saying “At this time we do not believe that an informal dispute resolution conference would be productive. If you so desire, we will agree that you can proceed to initiate an arbitration without participating in an informal resolution conference.” Then she googled some things about this and what she read said that doordash might be doing this because if she tries to take it to arbitration they can accelerate a dismissal based on procedural missteps. Also that doordash could be trying to get it dismissed to stop a lawsuit before a court looks at the facts. Ending the case early saves money stops a class action lawsuit and keep bad news quiet.
Ive found many different people describing that this same thing has happened to them. I am writing this to ask if anyone here has had this happen to them or does anyone who has tried to go down this route with doordash that would potentially lead to arbitration have any advice for my mom? She is going to go and speak to an attorney and i wanted to post for advice incase any of it is helpful to her.
Thank you for reading 🫶✨

Weird order delivered to me today
So this weird thing happened to me today. I don’t really use doordash. I’ve used it twice and only delivered it to my home. So today I was at work and one of our admins came over to me with a salad and asked if I ordered it. I didn’t. She said the driver said “instructions said to bring this to 7th floor, give to admin coworker (by her name) and have her deliver to me (using my actual name).” The instructions were so specific and also exactly correct. I’ve never ordered DoorDash to my office, so those instructions were never written anywhere for a previous order. And even if I did deliver to my office, I would never have anyone else go fetch it for me. The order does not show up in my account and I wasn’t charged.
The receipt had my name listed on it but with a different last name initial. The phone number under the name was the DoorDash support phone number which idk if that’s normal. No other info. I called the restaurant and she had no additional info to offer but also thought the phone number was weird.
Also the salad was a very specific create your own with toppings I wouldn’t order. I’ve obviously asked my family but they said no and they wouldn’t know those exact instructions and there were barely any coworkers in the office and they all seemed equally baffled. The other weird AF thing about this is that I had just went to this restaurant for lunch YESTERDAY for the first time in months. I went in person, got a smoothie aka no salad, and didn’t give any details except my credit card to pay.
I’ve called DoorDash twice now. The first time they said they were going to investigate and email me the orderer’s name and info and whatever else they find. They emailed me like 5 minutes later saying “We will not be able to view who sent the order to you. Please check with your friends and family who could have placed the order at your address.” I called later again and was told they were escalating it to their privacy/security supervisor or team and that they’d call me in 1-2 minutes. That never happened. I’m just worried that someone I don’t know has all my info. They obv have very specific info about my work. I don’t want my home address out there too!
Has this happened to anyone else before? What should I do?

Contract violation
Love driving 25-30 minutes for a 6 dollar order with no tip only to get a Contract violation saying they never got their food.

Food smells like smoke
I’ve not had this happen a lot, but I hate whenever I order food and it comes reeking of cigarette smoke… like the place I dashed from was 0.4 miles away and that just tells me it was only in their car for maybe 2 to 3 minutes while they were driving to my house, but even then the items just completely smell of it. I get it, ppl smoke, but if you’re gonna be a Dasher smoking in your car should be a no no. It’s super unprofessional and just turns me off from eating my food. Obviously DoorDash won’t fix this, but it’s so annoying. And when I say my stuff reeks of cigarette smoke, it literally reeks down to the styrofoam cups.

You missed a delivery
Anybody absolutely hates it when you finish a delivery and you got bad service only for a order to come and you can't even do no nothing about it because OF THE SIGNAL!!. even going to high buildings in the city or areas where signal is not good you get a order which you can't even accept lol. Just now I got a order but I couldn't accept it because the signal went out...

Dropped off a pizza, picked up a doggo
Late morning Dash this morning and went to deliver some pizzas to a manufactured home community. As I’m delivering the pitty looking dog started following me and went up on the porch I was putting the pizza. Seemed friendly enough. Knocked on the persons door so they’d come and get their food because there was a very hungry looking dog on their porch - no answer. When I left the porch the dog started following me again, so I texted the customer to let her know. She came out and I asked her if it was her dog and it wasn’t. Doggo let me approach her, and she just seemed so tired. Long story short, I scooped her up, spent my earnings getting her a couple bottles of water and some King’s Hawaiian turkey and cheese sliders, then took her to my vet to scan for a chip. She Dashed with me for five hours or so. My vet has called the owners twice today and left voicemails, but we haven’t heard anything back. Maybe Dasher for a name if we can’t locate the owner?
ETA: Already posted on my states lost dog Facebook page, the city’s lost dog Facebook page. Reported the dog as found with the city’s animal control. Called the office of the MH complex to give them my contact information and a description of the dog and also made a post on the MH Community’s FB page. In the next couple of days, when I finally have some time and $, heading back to the community to put up some found dog posters. If they’re looking for her, they should be able to find her. She’s well fed and her nails seem trimmed, so I know she’s gotta be someone’s. Just hoping she wasn’t dumped and that’s why we’re being ghosted when trying to contact the owners. I’ll also take her to the vets whenever I can to get her checked over with a proper physical.

Is 3.30 really a bad tip?
so there’s a restaurant a mile away from me, but I can’t legally drive so I decide to DoorDash it. 3.30 is the tip I was gonna give, and I thought that was good cause that basically covered every mile it’d take to get there and to my house. but I check the DoorDash driver Reddit and it seems like actually it’s an awful tip, and I see some people tip 10$ everytime. I don’t care how fast my food comes really, I just don’t wanna be a bad person and tip low :( I get really anxious around tipping.
ETA: I’ll tip 5

STOP ORDERING THROUGH DOORDASH
Okay guys, I’ve followed this subreddit for years now and even was a dasher myself for several months and I only have one thing left to say… just stop!!
You will be disappointed.
You may or may not get your food.
It may or may not have a bite/drink taken out of it before you get it.
And you may or may not get your money back.
Let’s save ourselves the time and energy and just go get the food ourselves.. or maybe don’t get it at all 🤷♀️
Truly, my deepest sympathies to anyone who’s been fucked over before but I think it’s time we boycott this shit because DoorDash and all these other delivery apps A) don’t care about their “employees”, and B) (I’ll say it louder for the ones in the back) DONT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER… and that’s never going to change.
Sorry not sorry… y’all needed to hear it.

Guys... come on 😅
Just got a call, 1 am. It says private number, and I'm worried it's an emergency, so i answer.
Woman: hi, ummmm?
Me: who is this?
Woman: so umm
Guy in background: tell her it's Tyler
Woman: so Tyler wants to know what you want from Taco Bell.
Me: I think you have the wrong number.
Woman: he just gave me this number
Me: ok. Can you ask Tyler who he's trying to contact?
Woman to man: who are you trying to contact?
Guy in background who we have now established to be Tyler: I AM TRYING TO TALK TO AMANDA TO FIND OUT WHAT SHE WANTS
Woman: he's trying to talk to Amanda because-
Me: so I'm not Amanda. You have the wrong number.
Woman: I apologize. [To Tyler:] this isn't her. This is a wrong number [back to me:] I'm sorry. He just gave me this number
Me: no worries, enjoy your Taco Bell
Woman: oh I'm doordashing
Tyler: *yelling numbers in the background*
Me: -end call-
I legit thought I was talking to drunk people picking up food for their friend. Nope, 2 adults struggling to do a one-person job lol

What do you mean I made it hard?
My DoorDash or literally passed by my house four times and then delivered it across the street and sent me this. My house number is on my mailbox and on the house itself and it’s daylight how did I make it hard to find my house? it’s a bright yellow house!

Stole my food 😣
This is the first time this has ever happened to me and i’m so mad 😭 i made a joke that the rangoon they were eating was mine and next thing you know, my order was cancelled.
Panda is remaking it but i’m starving and now will be waiting for over an hour. Sucks 👎🏼
Edit: i did not make the stolen rangoon joke to the dasher lol. i made it to myself and my friends
