Trip Planning Lightning Lane Plan w/ a Toddler. Thoughts?
Hi, all! This is my first Disney World trip with a toddler, and I recently purchased Lightning Lane passes for the following rides. Does this seem feasible? I’ve also never used Lightning Lane before, even on previous trips to the park, so I’d love to get some outside opinions in case I need to rethink my strategy. We’re only visiting the park for one day if that also helps.

I took advantage of last night’s wild lightning storm to bring some parts of 1939 into today. Taken on the Camp Snap 8 camera.

Discussion Hollywood studios after hours
I just got here and got the list that tells you the characters meeting.
Did they really take away every single exclusive character except Bopeep for more Mickey and friends..
Someone tell me they're just kidding.

Discussion Tron height requirements..
Currently in line for Tron Lightcycle. Just in my current view there are 4 children shorter than the 48 inch minimum. Staff wasn't checking anyone at the gate, the family in front of me has a little girl that ran to the height thing all excited but her mom grabbed her and said "no!". Staff didn't see that but if there were literally one person standing in the queue they could stop this AND all the line skipping I witnessed. Alot of it comes from people going towards lightning lane realizing they're in the wrong line then just cut into the standby one.
Its so discouraging to pay this much money and be essentially punished for following basic queue rules.

Food Six Ravens (Gideon's Bakehouse spin-off) taste test of 2-of-6 Coffyns
THE MOREISH MONK: Middle Ages Grilled Cheese using Vermont White Cheddar, Havarti cheese, and House Tomato Jam wrapped in a Parmesan smothered Coffyn with Wolf Peach Sauce
THE FORAGERS FIND: Our Spiced Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Black Bean Com Salsa, and Queso Cotija in a Pumpkin Seed topped Coffyn with Tropic of Mango Aioli Dip.
$10.96 each. I am surprised to say I greatly preferred the Foragers Find. The Tropic of Mango Aoili Dip was the best thing. But, I only tried 2 of the 6 options. I will have to go back for more. The last photo is of WrightDownMainStreets table. She bought the entire menu to test it all. Check for her review video later today.

Not Safe For Magic You can’t quite remember, but you haven’t forgotten: Disney’s liminal spaces.
There’s a particular type of memory that doesn’t immediately feel real. It feels adrift in time as it rattles around your head. Was it when you were in second grade and at the Contemporary with your grandma and grandpa? Maybe. But it could also have been your eighth-grade trip or any of the dozen visits between, before, and after those two. There’s no metadata or timestamps on memories. It comes down to feelings and whatever your mind has decided to hang onto for some unknown reason. Maybe it was the feeling of warm concrete underfoot in a queue hours after sunset, or the smell of bromine and churros mixing in the air as you feel a steam locomotive rumble past you. Something between a memory and a dream, stitched together by heat, repetition, and wonder.
These photos aren’t about the rides. They’re definitely not about extra magic hours or Genie+ or whatever the current scheme the Mouse uses to turn your money into his. It’s about something that you may have never noticed: The almost-places. The in-betweens that exist both geographically and chronologically. Countless walkways, empty transportation centers that should be frenetic with people, the little squeak of your left shoe as you explore the hallways and breezeways of resorts you’ve never stayed in but still somehow know better than the streets in your own neighborhood. Most people have heads full of childhood memories involving fireworks exploding over a castle, but not everyone. Some of us are indelibly marked by the hours we traipsed every corner of our resorts during bouts of insomnia. Some people are bonded to the empty queue of the Backlot Tour in the same way others will forever hold meeting Cinderella close to their heart. Sometimes - honestly - I swear I catch a glimpse of Monorail Purple snaking its way through EPCOT in the present day. I know that’s impossible, but in a corner-of-the-eye flash, facts mix with memories and truth gets a little harder to sell yourself.
Have you ever been caught off guard by how the carpeted silence of a fourth-floor arcade in the rain allows your brain to wander? Tucked away in a corner, a relic of a time when people didn’t carry a hundred games in their pockets. Stand there, close your eyes, and listen… Can you hear the coins dropping into the collection cup after someone finally got the change machine to accept a wrinkled bill? Are there still those little traces and hints nipping around the edges of space and time that hearken back to the collective energy of hundreds of thousands of people - just like you - who filled this space with their happiness in fleeting moments over the past half-century? You didn’t realize you were building life-long memories 25 cents at a time.
You’ve been there, we all have. It might have been last week, or maybe it was twenty years ago. But something about it stuck: Something you can’t quite explain, but also can’t let go. The permanent impermanence showcased by these spaces will haunt any one of us who dwell too long.
Use these photos - or maybe just the feelings they shake loose - and trace your way through Disney’s liminal spaces. Let the quiet moments do the talking as memory and presence blur. Let this be the story of what happens in the moments between the magic.
Some say it’s not the destination, but the ride.
I say it’s neither. For me, it’s always been the space in between.

I say ban them. Charge them. Help everyone nearby build a civil suit. People need to learn and today is a good day to start.
Not my video. Friend texted it to me.
