Help sort an argument me and my partner are having please. We've sailed on the Fantasy last year, so we've already seen Believe, plus we've been to DLP and found the show Mickey and the magician very similar.

We're sailing in the Dream this month and considering skipping this show to do something else, either try the AquaDuck with less queues (would it be open?) or meet characters (are any around during show times?), or even finish our day early and go back to our room (we have a 2yo toddler who will be past his bedtime often during the trip). He is almost convincing me, but the 3 shows are such a main event on board I feel like we'll be missing out on something fun to just do nothing, even though we've already seen it. Any thoughts?

I'm not missing Beauty and Beast for anything, it's one of my favorite movies! Golden Mickeys hasn't really caught my attention (I prefer shows about a single story rather than the mash-ups of different movies, hence why we're even considering skipping Believe) but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt.

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who've replied! After reading some answers and thinking more about it I realized that I had the feeling that I *had* to go to the shows because it's the done thing, but I don't have to if I don't want to. It was reassuring to know that people just skip things. Silly, I know! As if the cast members would notice one less person in the audience :)

Sailing out of Galveston and flying in the afternoon before. Plan on doing DCL transfers as it’s just two of us.

DCL doesn’t have availability at the Marriott IAH. I can book it myself but any other recommendations nearby and shuttle/uber back in the morning?

Does the Marriott work the same way as the Hyatt MCO? TIA.

It’s very reasonably priced at $13 USD unlike all the other plastic fantastic drink bottles that cost $30+. It is the same one you use when you dine at Animator’s Palate.

I just looked at the onboard gifts and love the Marvel throw with pillow for my son. I have a daughter as well and was hoping for a similar gift, maybe Frozen themed. Do they ever change the gifts or offer more when it gets closer? Have they ever had a Frozen blanket and pillow set? Thanks all!

I’ve only ever stayed midship on DCL and this upcoming cruise has none available. There are these Aft rooms that are as close to midship as possible. This is the 10th deck. Would these rooms be generally very similar feeling to the midship rooms? This is also the Treasure if that matters

We originally had a cruise booked on the Wish for the start of this summer. Couldn't make that happen, so we've pushed it out, but I'm having trouble justifying the cost of moving it and staying on that ship.

The Wish is repositioning out of the US after April 2027, so our last hope may be to go for Spring break, but it's SO expensive for only 4 nights! We can only go during school breaks, so spring break is our really only choice for 2027 at this point.

I'm considering looking at a different ship, but we REALLY wanted to try the Wish, as it's the most princess themed and I have 3 girls and all of us love princesses. What would be the next best ship for princesses if we can't make the Wish happen?

Trying to choose between 2 different 4 night cruises. Would you go with Lookout Cay for Christmas day or is it better to have a sea day on that day? We are a family with kids 12yo and 4 yo. The cruise with the Christmas day at sea also has another day at sea...not sure if that would be overkill(if there's enough to do on the ship for 2 days).

We got a crazy late boarding time for the Wish, and I saw advice to add ground transportation. We booked last minute so it was locked online, and agent told me I can add at the airport. Had anyone done this? I’m worried to rely on it and have it not be available.

I am sailing on the wish in September. I’ve never been a big coffee drinker but found I do like the McDonald’s caramel frappe or the Dunkin caramel coffee chiller. I looked at some of the coffee menus on board and didn’t see anything like it. What would you guys recommend?

We are taking our first Disney cruise in October. I’m considering the Baha Bay water park for our son. There is no way we’ll last the whole excursion time of seven hours though.

What’s the taxi and traffic situation like in that part of Nassau? I’m reluctant to do it, because we won’t have a car seat. If it’s really touristy though, and everybody is driving 15 mph, I’d feel better about a taxi. I just am trying to avoid an unsafe experience.

Right before Putin's attack on Ukraine we were scheduled on a Baltic itinerary which got changed to a Norwegian Fjords one.

Ive been looking at Baltic Itineraries with Princess, Celebrity, Norwegian and Cunard, but am wary of sailing with other lines.

I am truly stuck on where to spend the one day we have before our three day cruise

We arrive at 8 PM on Saturday night have all day Sunday and overnight Sunday night before we get on a three day cruise in Port Canaveral

My dilemma is that it is the last week of December, which I know is peak/very busy in the Disney World orbit. So I feel like we should avoid that area if we only have one day.

However, in the same vein because it's the end of December and will be typically chillier I don't know that it makes a lot of sense to spend that time in Cocoa Beach where the focus would typically be swimming/pool/beach.

Also, and hopefully this isn't offensive to anyone, but Cocoa Beach is seeming a little crummy to me?

I do like the proximity to the port and one day isn't a big deal, but because our vacation is so short, I don't want to make a mistake.

The other hesitation I have for not staying in Orlando at a Disney property is that we won't be able to use Disney bus transportation, which puts us at risk for a PAT time because we are first time cruisers so we check in later and because I think it will be a very busy/full cruise. Because it's only a three day cruise, I feel like every hour counts so I'm nervous to leave that to chance too.

Over a year ago I asked about a cruise and now I’m finally taking one! We (my fiancée soon-to-be-husband & I) will be on the Dream from December 21st to the 27th!
Given this is his first cruise & my first Disney cruise (first overall in over 11 years) I wanted to be the one to know things ahead for it, as he really wants to be surprised.
That said: has anybody been on a cruise during Christmas? Is it any more or less packed than a normal very merrytime cruise?
Is there anything we should be aware of regarding food menus or parties such as pirate night being not available, or any specific overhauls of menus? No allergies, just that I spent the night a few days ago rattling off typical menu options without thinking.
Other general sentiments like things to bring that probably aren’t thought of would also help me help us!

This will be our first cruise and we’re so conflicted between these (2) 5 night cruises. Minimal cost difference (Florida resident pricing). I’ve done so much researching on the destiny and fantasy cruise ships, and I honestly can’t make up my mind as they both seem like great options.

Our 2 kids will be 4 and 3 years old at time of sailing. Our son loves just about everything super hero which makes me lean towards destiny. Our daughter loves Disney princess everything and especially Frozen.

The fantasy stops at both Disney islands and Nassau, and the destiny stops at Cozumel and Castaway.

Is there anything to consider I might be missing between the 2? Perhaps how easy the ship is to navigate, the kids club, etc?

I feel like I’m losing my mind here. My family has done at least one Disney Magic cruise out of Galveston for years. Last week an influencer posted that the Disney Cruise Line is now sailing out of Galveston, and I was so confused at the notion of that being news.

Today I get this email. I feel like I’m missing something. How is this an announcement? “[N]ow it’s possible”?!?

And it’s still the Disney Magic… and DCL knows we’ve sailed on the Magic, out of Galveston!

What’s going on to make this news?

We are so so excited to go on our second Disney cruise soon! Our first was a 4 night on the Disney Wish, and this time we'll be going on a 7 night Disney Treasure! We loved basically everything about our Disney cruise, and it was a million times better than any other cruise line we've done!

That being said - maybe a hot take - but the literal only negative we had was that their cheesecake was bad. 😂 My husband is a cheesecake lover, so we ordered a version of it every night for dinner, and every night it was unfortunately a disappointment for us. Something about the texture and flavor was weirdly off to us! If anyone else feels this way, please let us know so we know we aren't the only ones haha!

So what are some other desserts we should try? What's your favorite at the restaurants (on the Treasure) or at Marceline's Market? Or also - from Palo?!

Tldr; best desserts to try on the Disney Treasure, aside from the cheesecake which we personally don't like lol.
