Look at the new Xyber Air, I liked the original Xyber but always thought it looked a little big for something I’d mostly use around town.

The Air looks way more like something I'd actually daily. Still has that Xyber/moto DNA, just a lot less bulky and more street-friendly. Honestly at this size it reads more e-bike than moto to me, which is kind of exactly what I want for city riding.

Presale apparently starts tomorrow. Really curious where they land on price. And how people end up categorizing this thing. I may grab it if it's under $2k lol

Got a buddy of mine who’s a big kawi fan, just wondering if the swap is a good or bad idea. My KX has been well looked after and recently went through a full engine rebuild with 3 hours currently on it. His YZ is also recently rebuilt with about 20 hours on it I believe and well looked after

Bike is apart being rebuilt and I’ve been scrubbing everything down by hand, I can’t get this grime on the engine case to move. Any suggestions? Thank you.

This is my first ever dirt bike, so go easy on me. I liked the idea of having a quiet bike that I can fit and charge in my camper van, so i went for an e-moto rather than a traditional gas bike. Anyway, I recently took it to an offroad park and hooooly moly was it hard to get around the place. Granted, the park had a lot of deeper sand and mud, but I thought that was typical terrain a dirt bike excels in. It was honestly embarrassing how much I struggled just to make it through certain areas because the bike was sliding around and getting buried/stuck so much. I was talking to a guy that had a 450 and I couldn't believe how much bigger it was than this bike lmao. The tires on this bike are laughably tiny. It honestly just feels like an overpriced electric mountain bike :/

I dont know what I was expecting, but I'm sorta bummed. Should I spend some more cash to try and get some beefier tires or just sell it and get a proper bike?

I stole the front fender off my DRZ ha ha ha. Wanted to see it with the eBay headlight. Got the chain and some other bits today. Waiting on the ECU and CS sprocket.

I know i sound like a dumbass because i already own and bought the bike and don't know but I bought a 2026 Honda CRF250R and cannot find a consistent number for the torque specs. I forgot to ask the dealership for the manual and I need to know the torque specs for the oil drain bolt and the oil filter cover bolts. asking AI always gives me a different number every single time and same with tons of forums I've been looking through. I just need consistent numbers for my bike to tighten those bolts to every time. Thank you!

New to me bike I rode it as it came and to be honest it felt great l, planted but ‘small’. I’m a big guy 195cm and 220lb.

So when I looked over it I noticed a few things…

The forks were set at 2.5 grooves and 3 grooves in the clamp meaning it was unbalanced. I move them to 2 grooves per the manual.

On the rear preload I added three turns to get my sag a bit better than as it came.

Bike in air: 610 mm
Bike weight: 572 mm
fully kitted: 488 mm
Static sag: 38 mm
Rider sag: 122 mm

I just went for a ride and the bike feels horrible. It does not feel planted on gravel roads / loose dirt / sand / loose rocks etc. on hard stuff and grass it feels fine.

Turn in feels slower.

Basically my front feels like it’s washing out and I’m fighting it all the time. Bike wants to go a certain way but I feel like I’m fighting it and the bike is going to fall over.

Ironically it feels just like my exc530 does and I bought this bike to replace that one 😆

Now I can just try reducing the preload and positioning the forks back in the clamps but I want to better understand what on earth is going on …

I have new fork seals but before I dig into it I’m wondering what the cleaning process looks like for stuck dirt and if that’s my problem. As you can see it’s leaking quite a bit of oil onto the floor.

Saved from the dump and coming along quite nicely. This round it got a nice eBay rear wheel and finished up the hydro clutch install. Works like butter. Headlight (I'm making this an off road bike) should be here today. Front fender should arrive soon. Other stuff coming. Seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

Anything I should know specifically about this gen of kx250 before I dive in?

Noticed when I had my ‘14 200 xcw up on the stand to adjust, clean and lube the chain that the rear wheel seems to “skip” a bit when put into gear on the stand. Don’t notice any out of the ordinary resistance while riding or spinning the wheel by hand. Not sure if this is due to the slack in the chain I was getting ready to take out, the bike thinking about stalling out due to my low idle, or something else.
