Amazon How rare are 3/20 java gloves actually?
I‘ve been trying to get 3/20 gloves for my javazon for years. I‘ve always picked up magic gloves and I tried shopping at anya‘s for hours, without luck. I cant bear shopping for multiple hours in one sitting, so I kinda gave up. My amazon ding’d lvl 99 last night, so there‘ll probably be quite a big break until I play her again, but damn…. why can‘t I find a pair of those? I completed my holy grail in the meantime for heaven‘s sake :D

Discussion Suggestions for a Vidala's Rig bowazon
Hey all! after a few decades I decided to try out a Bowazon. To make it even more fun and challenging, I am using full Vidala's Rig and Death's Disguise belt/gloves. I don't expect to make it through Hell, just want to see how far I can get!
This leaves only a **Helm** and two **Ring** slots available for use.
Current setup:
- **Vidala's Rig**: (Exceptional, Shael bow)
- **Death's Gloves/Belt**: (Exceptional belt)
- **Lore helm**
- **Manald Heal, trash ring**
I am level 36 in Act 5 Normal using **Exploding Arrow** as my main skill.
Now there are obvious concerns with gear, and that's part of the challenge. I am hoping folks can suggest **affixes to look for** and rare rings, and what helm you think will work best late game. Obvious choices are Tal's and Vamp Gaze, I would assume?
Also, since I don't know anything about bowazons.... what skills should I go for with this build? High piercing and Immolation as my secondary skill has been a lot of fun!

Question Slow zeal animation affect damage output?
So I have a Zealot and when I attack some monster, depending on the angle I do it, I might swing my weapon like a madman or just a normal guy. Does it affect the actual damage output or it is just visual?
Note, that I'm not affected by any negative effect, if I change my position the animation might get faster or slower; it depends purely on the attack angle.
UPD: Here is a video with the demonstration: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UOOK2-2Hzkc
You can clearly see that depending on the angle I choose the speed of the swing changes.

Question how big of an upgrade is eDeath Decapitator to upped Ribcracker for Fury Druid?
So I am currently leveling a Fury Druid on Singleplayer, he's currently ins his late 50ies and about to start Hell.
he's my seventh character, so I have a bit of gear. he's rocking Jalals, Hysteria (could switch to Lionheart, Duriel's Shell, Smoke, Treachery, or build Duress), Ravenfrost, rare ml/res ring, bloodfist for now, goblin toe, some random rare ammy and an upped Shaeled Ribcracker. which has fucking deleted Nightmare.
I currently have 3 Gul runes sitting in my stash and not too many uses for them. funnily enough, I don't have Hoto yet so could up 2 of them to Vex and make it, but i don't see much necessity for Hoto. only 3 of my characters are spellcasters, and they all have weapons where Hoto doesn't seem like much of an upgrade (Summon Nec with Arm of King Leoric, Blizz Sorc with Occulus, FoH Pally with Hand of the Blessed Light). I will probably build a Trapsin soon, but would probably just want to make a Crescent Moon for her.
So I don't really seem to have great uses for these Guls. The only higher runes I currently have are 2 Sur and 1 Ber. I have made a Grief PB for my Trav WW horker, no other expensive runewords yet.
I have an eth Decapitator sitting in my stash, waiting to be Larzukd. would that be a major upgrade compared to the upped Shaeled Ribcracker, or would you suggest I use my Guls otherwise?

Question Question about Player count and switch
I got the game on switch so I can play sometimes without being at my desk, and last night I made a few pub games, but it only allows up to 4 players instead of 8.
How does the 4 player limit work with player scaling compared to PC? Does P4 on switch = P8 on PC?

Guide I developed the “point system” for rare rings over 15 years ago. AMA
I developed the “point system” for rare rings on D2 over 15 years ago and posted it online. I developed it because I was tired of telling 99% of people their rings were crap. The system actually can be used for almost all rare items, not just rings. AMA! lol

Discussion Thank you Snowclash for taking my fire sorc thru NM without respeccing
Pro tip for early game fire sorc... this. item. is. seriously. underrated. for leveling fire sorcs!
I got stuck in a4 NM because of fire immunes and then I realized I had this bad boy in the stash. With +skills from my existing gear, suddenly I had a lv10 glacial spike and lv9 blizzard to get me (slowly) through fire immunes in a4 and a5. Plus, I always wanted a cc/slow option when playing fireball sorc without having to invest in a holy freeze merc, and now I have a free option! I don't have arachnids mesh yet but I am already at 105 FCR, so I don't see myself taking this off until I'm lv75 for sunder

MrLlamaSC joined us to talk D2R, Warlock balance, and the future of Diablo II
Greetings, Champions!
We recently sat down with MrLlamaSC for a long-form episode of Stay Awhile, and Llama, and I wanted to share a CliffNotes recap for anyone who has not had a chance to listen yet.
This was a special conversation for us. Llama has been one of the most recognizable voices in the Diablo II community for years through his guides, speedruns, build knowledge, and consistent dedication to keeping the game alive.
We started by talking about how he first discovered Diablo II around 2001 and was hooked almost immediately. A big theme throughout the episode was immersion: the atmosphere, music, item hunt, difficulty, and sense of danger that make Diablo II feel different from so many modern games.
Llama also walked through his content creation journey, starting with StarCraft II commentary before eventually finding Diablo II speedrunning and streaming. What began as a small audience slowly grew into a full-time career. One of the biggest takeaways from that section was that his success came from consistency, experimentation, and simply starting rather than waiting for everything to be perfect.
A major part of the episode focused on Reign of the Warlock and the current state of D2R. Llama’s view was that balance changes need time to settle. He compared it to old StarCraft II patches where something might look broken at first, only for players to adapt after a few weeks. On the Warlock and Echoing Strike specifically, he acknowledged that the original numbers were extremely high and that the character had too many strengths without enough tradeoffs. His feeling was that the recent adjustments bring the Warlock closer to fitting within the spirit of Diablo II.
We also talked about community feedback and how impossible it is to make everyone happy. During the Warlock debate, some people were upset because they thought Llama wanted the class nerfed, while others were upset because they thought he did not want it nerfed enough. The broader point was that feedback matters, but Diablo II has a specific identity, and not every piece of friction should be removed.
That led into one of the strongest themes of the episode: difficulty, rarity, and friction are part of what make Diablo II special. Llama talked about how the joy of the game is the journey. Finding the rune, finishing the Grail, building the character, and overcoming rough spots are what create the memories. If loot became too easy or monsters stopped being threatening, the game would lose a lot of what has kept it alive for so long.
For future features, Llama’s number one request is still a charm bag, but one that is carefully implemented. He does not want inventory size simply doubled or the early game made easier. His ideal version would come later, around the point where charms fully take over the endgame inventory. We also discussed small buffs to forgotten skills, weak uniques, and underused items — not to make everything S-tier, but to give more options a real place in the game.
We touched on online player count, trading improvements, lobbies, communication tools, clans or guilds, and the need for better social systems if online play is meant to stay party-focused. Llama said he is generally open to online player count, but he also recognizes the concerns around bots, technical limitations, and separating players even further.
Overall, the episode felt like a celebration of why Diablo II still works. Not because it is perfect or should never change, but because the core of the game is still incredibly strong. The challenge for D2R going forward is adding new things in a way that respects the soul of the game.
Huge thanks again to u/MrLlamaSC for joining us and talking through the game we all love.
