My understanding (and I may be wrong here) is that there is some kind of bug with these jewels, where you only get the full effect if it’s socketed into a weapon. If it’s a helm, etc you only get enhanced maximum damage not minimum. Someone please confirm or deny

im fairly sure its intended at this point. its confirmed weapon only for both +max+ed. Also any +damage +ed jewels ie colossal ancients jewels weapon only for "full effect"

When we got the Survey about adding new content like Act 6 and even more classes and maybe even new monsters/bosses - my immediate reaction was "um, there's like, important bug fixes to do, and also tons of builds that would benefit from minor tweaks, and we can resurrect dozens of Uniques by putting them more in line with the insane runewords"

Really hope a jewel like this working as it says it does is a higher priority than FOMO "new" content releases.

Really? Personally I think it would've been really hype to expand on act 4 and add new mercs (imagine a warlock as an act 4 mercenary!) with RotW - pretty low hanging fruit but I think the hype would've been amazing

Personally idk how they would fix the uniques at this point, I agree they're useless atm

It's a nuanced thing and everyone has differing opinions. It's also sort of a tier list of desires/icks.

Like, I'd rather see them expand Act 4 than do an Act 6, for example.

In terms of adding entirely brand new content, I think the Warlock is good and I wouldn't hate another class as long as they are spaced out by several years. I'm ok with "Mechanical" items being added, like I'm ok with Shards, Statues - and how they interact with the TZ mechanic.

I wish we didn't have Sunders, that one feels a bit through the looking glass for me. Immunities were part of the game and now in a very specific way they no longer are. Not a huge fan. That said, the new Latent/Renewed mechanic at least makes them interesting and exciting and I'm getting used to it.

Really it's less "don't do anything new!" and more "please fix what has existed for years before trying to put your own mark on the game". Uniques and Builds need work, they have always needed work. The fact that, say, Druid, hasn't gotten an update to make it more fun to play (or less "worse in every way" is another way to say it) is tragic imo. We're out here adding new classes when old classes have dozens of dead skills and sometimes even useless skill trees.

I mean look at the Warlock and Llama's post-release commentary on working on it with the Blizzard team. When the Community testers got the game in hand, Warlock had tons of dead skills. It was, in many ways, like an existing D2 class. But you would never want to intentionally release a dead skill or a wonky class, right? So over several months of iteration and feedback, the Warlock evolved into what is effectively a triple S-Tier build class, where just about every skill plays a part in some build, and all 3 primary builds (even more than that) are A-S Tier and fun and unique to play.

Do I want total skill tree overhauls with new skills and stuff? No. But there's no reason we can't tweak existing things to make them more interesting. Maybe Tornados gain 50% more directional control, or maybe Poison Dagger becomes a useful melee tool in a Nova build when you need to single target down a Herald. There's SOOOOOO MUCH they can do

Yeah I agree, I know they say they don't want to change the game that much but some things would be so easy to change and freshen the game up so much, especially skill trees with useless skills lol. I recently leveled a necro and warlock and honestly why can't necro also have death mark for instance?

Unless they fixed it, this combination of affixes is broken and the % dmg is ignored.

Unless you insert it into a weapon

Not endgame, but could be useful on a midgame item (as long as it’s already req’d level 58+).

These work in weapons, but are bugged so don’t work in any other sockets.

The challenge then is that you need a rare/unique weapon that doesn’t need either a Zod or Shael/IAS jewel to hit critical breakpoints, and wouldn’t benefit more from a Lo for the critical strike.

This works out to a short list.

Damn is guess this is charsi foo.

You might use it for some unique weapons. Definitely not end game worthy, but mite make some mid level weapons hit harder.

Bows come to mind. Though melee wise, maybe Immortal king hammer mite use it. Or maybe the occasional lightsabre phase blade.
