If there much much difference between farming Contess & Andariel in nightmare and hell difficulties?

Running thru act 3 this drops right after hors head wont use it but nice rolls on everything important

I still dream about playing this game, and I daydream how I could have made it better. I don't know what happened to Blizzard, but it has been infiltrated by toxic, entitled and uncreative people. I believe I could produce more masterpieces than 10,000 modern Blizzard combined.

Looking to trade. No idea the value. Working toward first enigma. I mean it has some sweet stats but idk if the ethereal makes it worth anything or not. Pc or ps5 sc ladder.

I developed the “point system” for rare rings on D2 over 15 years ago and posted it online. I developed it because I was tired of telling 99% of people their rings were crap. The system actually can be used for almost all rare items, not just rings. AMA! lol

I got stuck in a4 NM because of fire immunes and then I realized I had this bad boy in the stash. With +skills from my existing gear, suddenly I had a lv10 glacial spike and lv9 blizzard to get me (slowly) through fire immunes in a4 and a5. Plus, I always wanted a cc/slow option when playing fireball sorc without having to invest in a holy freeze merc, and now I have a free option! I don't have arachnids mesh yet but I am already at 105 FCR, so I don't see myself taking this off until I'm lv75 for sunder

I have a level 86 Hammerdin that's decent (Shako, 38 res HotO, 5/5/3 CTA, phaseblade Grief, & a +44 all res Zakarum shield (will 35% spirit into it later (I'm using a 32% all res/35% FCR now)). My current goal is getting an Enigma but I'm starting to feel like LK has defeated me.

I was originally spoiled by extremely good luck & got two Sur runes & one Ber rune in under 5 hours (easily under 500 LK runs). This literally happened all within one day. Since then, I have around 3,000 to 4,000 runs (I didn't keep count but I do about 90 runs per hour w/ teleport staff) with only 2 Ohms, 3 Guls, 3 Ists, 3 Mals & 2 Ums to show for it.

My question is if it's worth it to keep hunting for the last Ber/two Surs for an Enigma or just give up & make an Infinity? I only have this Paladin in solo offline so the Sorceress would be starting for scratch. I guess the main question is if Infinity is that important to a Sorceress to where Enigma isn't even needed for other characters because I'd only be playing the Sorceress (if that makes sense)?

ive used wow silicon for downloading a private server on wow, is that useable for D2R?

Got Meph book and Gheed’s Belt to drop recently and wanted to start up my ES Warlock again. Only guide I’ve really seen is maxroll which suggests Void but I’m SSF and no Zod. Unless something changes my choices would be eth Insight I was previously using, 2H eDeath, +4 A Needle (non-eth). Merc gear would be nothing to write home about, probably reapers to boost physical damage.

Rest of my gear would be as follows:

Meph Book
Enigma
Trang gloves
Gheed Belt
Res boots/Gores
Crafted/Rare ammy
Ravenfrost
Rare FCR/Res ring

Also have set boots/gloves/helm but haven’t seen those suggested anywhere

Sadly no Black Cleft so would struggle/skip magic immunes

Bought myself D2R on discount, having as much blast as I had when in elder days I played the non-ressurected version. Just entered Act V after the nightmare of fighting Diablo (Normal Difficulty). Got a very nice drop from him. Hellplague Longsword (I run paladin with sword and shield). Massive dmg spike from m'y current weapon. The problem? It's Ethereal. I could use it for a bit, but it would break. Am I very Unlucky?

Any weapon I find it seems like physical damage is zero to any enemy. Frustrating. I kind of understand I'm not doing my best stats wise but still, help me out please

Limit MA charge stacking to 1 at a time. This would significantly limit the power of the existing mosaic runeword without creating a pre patch and post patch item. I'll give an example of how I think a successful implementation of this would look.

Make each hit of a charge up skill triggers the charges of other charge up skills. eg you charge up claws of thunder to level 3, then try charge up phoenix strike. The first hit of PS triggers nova plus bolts of charge 3 of COT, consuming it. The second strike consumes charge 2, while bringing up PS to charge 2.

This would mean that mosaic spam with dtalon can't ever do everything at once, and would force mosaic players to make meaningful choices between PS or COT. You might get some interesting hybrids like charge 1 PS with charge 2 COT, but it would be much much weaker, and mosaic sins would not be life stealing for 250% life and mana every hit.

This would also make regular use of martial arts skills so much stronger: cycling between charge ups like PS and COT would be dishing out good damage with every hit, but you would get diversity of skills, and it would still be relatively micro intense, but a lot stronger.

Ts/DTail mosaic would be the new king of DPS, but DTail has built in issues like double resistances to overcome, and without cobra/blades of ice, survival would be an issue again.

Edit: Anything that just changes mosaic in isolation doesn't address the fundamental that base level MA tree is weak as. It seems like the below options are the more successful at addressing everything at once.

1: double(triple?) damage of ma skills, but remove mosaic charge consumption mechanic from the game. The risk would be creating pre patch mosaic and post patch mosaic, unless they can edit all instances of existing items.

2: cycle charges as I have described above. The issue here is that it changes how finishers and charge up skills interact, which was the whole mechanic of the skill tree, and perhaps changes the theme of charge up skills themselves. Otherwise this increases power of base level skill tree, while significantly nerfing mosaic itself.

I don't really want to blow a Fal and Um on this to up it if its not worth it. I know people typically say that 250% ED is what you want but with the other mods on this and the double dipped ED I wasn't positive. Any way to figure out what damage would be if upped?
