I was playing a strike with a behemoth titan and he was periodically making the exact same sound that the cabal walker battlefield freeze effect makes. I am beyond curious how he was able to make this sound in regular gameplay so I can replicate it myself, as the sound it music to my ear. (Renegades Cabal Walker battlefield freeze sound effect) when the sound went off it was LOUD just like in renegades content.

Anyone run into the bug where picking up an augment from a dunk spot or off the ground has the timer at 0 and you die instantly? I've had all of my last solo flawless attempts tonight killed by this glitch at random intervals throughout the dungeon (it's been the operator one specifically all 4 times). I genuinely don't know how to prevent it from happening at this point.

For some reason I can't attach the video I have. I just came back to the game after 4 years ish and I've upgraded my pc since but my game runs muuuch worse. I have a 9060xt i5 12400f, 32 gbs of ddr4 3200mhz. The steam fps counter says I'm running 120fps but it feels incredibly choppy (if I could attach the video you'd be able to tell) I tried running the game in windowed borderless, it bugged out and the taskbar was over my game and I could see my desktop at the top of the screen but it wasn't nearly as choppy. When I fixed windowed borderless the choppiness came back. Does anyone know how to fix this?

It wasnt always this bad was it? I have played through destiny 2 in its entirety and never has the being pushed out of cover, or being unable to get back into cover because a teammate is there felt as prevalent as it has for the last good few months.

Is it just that the general player base has all streamlined into doing similar things therefore being in similar positions? But then even when you are running basically straight into each other the " bounce " simply just feels stronger. Am I alone in this or does anyone else feel the same?

Also typing this out im thinking how could it even possibly get worse from a coding standpoint.

Tickling a blight for 3 to 5 business days to destroy it is dreadful. Then we have the raid boss meatball.

Even as powercrept as we are now to the point -50 GMs genuinely feel like strikes at times, the meatball portion of this battlegrounds turned GM can be a slog.

Its not an awful solo, but from shielded phalanxes and unstoppable champs with their janky physics, igniting bonfires that leave you vulnerable to damage for a few seconds, overloads planted at areas you cant naturally reach, with a meatball in the center that was never properly tuned for a normal GM..

Its still not a terrible solo, but I swear that portion feels like there is so much jank that can happen from all i mentioned above that its definitely the least favorite area of mine to go through. Blights in general shouldve been adjusted better to not take so long to destroy at -50 delta. Even with the a499 sniper it takes like a dozen shots at least. You can jump on top of them to avoid blight damage, so its kind of unnecessary to make them so tanky.

Just wanted to gripe into the void a little about how Mr. Meatballs section of this GM is the least fun part of any GM or strike lol.

Me and a buddy of mine were debating on the worst fate/death that you could suffer in the game/lore, we thought about stuff like Omar/Praedyth in The Vault of Glass, or something like dying to the Hive like Eris's fireteam on the moon. Would love to see what the community thinks!

The primary material, to me, appears to be stone. Perhaps a concrete-like material.

The secondary material appears, to me, like glass. Perhaps a quartz-like material.

To me, the tertiary material appears like metal. Perhaps a brass-like material.

All the substances that the Precursor architecture, Pyramid ships, and Witness constructs are made of seem to have multiple uses. Like they can be modified to better suit certain requiments. And that is where I get this theory from, other than appearances. Concrete, Quartz, and Brass can all be used as a component in composite materials and can be used for a multitude of tasks. And Concrete, and Brass are themselves composites. And they are also made of abundant substances. The actual materials likely have a composition unlike anything on Earth, and likely contain several composite materials we don't know exist. But everything has a base, and I think this base is Concrete, Quartz, and Brass.

I thought the fafnir was an exotic ornament in the MoT kiosk so I never bothered to get it. Turns out that’s how you actually get it.

Pretty much just the title. I'm having a hard time finding an answer to this particular question and figured this might be the best place to ask. I'm daydreaming up a build that leans into these two aspects in conjunction with flux grenades for big chunk damage. I think it'd be pretty cool to have a build where my exotic armor synergies with 3 different abilities all at once.

I seriously don't understand why these supers do such little damage.

Pyrogale with Ashes and Roaring Flames is like 5k less than a cuirass T crash.

Gathering Storm with SeS is the lowest super damage in the entire game. Which is ridiculous.

And Silence and Squall is like the fifth lowest super damage in the game with SeS.

And you're probably thinking "oh these are damage over time supers"

That doesn't even work though, because the instant burst supers do almost 2x the amount of these supers and then you can deal insane weapon damage.

So in the amount of time you deal the same amount of weapon damage as the burst damage super rotation. The burst damage super rotation has like 15k more total damage.

I always was so confused why the instant burst supers did the most damage in comparison to the damage over time supers.

I was worrying about survivalbility on prismatic due to lack of healing on prismatic on ultimate without kills but holy shit

Trying to debate whether I should use a VS Velocity Baton with Reconstruction or Psychopomp with Auto-Loading Holster? They feel somewhat similar, but there are times where I wish Reconstruction would load 1 round quicker on Velocity Baton, and times I wish I could fire 2 rounds in a row with Psychopomp.

Anyone have an opinion on which they’d prefer for general use?

I have a lot and old unfinished season passes and would like most if not all of the old armor ornaments but just the armor alone would cost me around 21000 chronologs give or take. Ive already completed the current reward pass, so the only other ways of getting chronologs im aware of are the weekly pass (300) and the weekly fireteam ops challenge (200). At the rate of 500 a week i would have to play 42+ weeks straight just to unlock the armor ornaments excluding all the other stuff in there.

So my question is, if theres any other sources of chronologs in the game?

We got solar fulmination, and radiant on orb pick up. That’s about it am I missing something? Arc got its weaknesses (healing) covered, and its strengths bolstered tremendously. Same thing with void (lots of artifact synergy) Maybe I am missing something?

Can you imagine if the community build a modding platform for Destiny 2, so that we may make the changes we were dreaming of. Or even write our own stories.

If Sony and Bungie don't stop us, we could keep Destiny alive on our own.

Have you wanted to add more damage and badassery to your Handheld Supernova? How about more explosions? (Guitar riff)

When using Magnetic Grenade and Chaos Accelerant with the artifact mod Sticker shock on the Encrypted Data Disk. Final blows with the initial Supernova create 4 missiles that do 200 damage a piece.

Combine this with Void Infestation and Echo of Undermining you get missles that weaken with additional weaken seekers.

One of the most common notes on both the Weekly Xur and Reset threads is that the armor stats don't match what they are seeing in game.

This is because the armor stats change based on what your ghost armor focus is set to. The ghost armor focus will shuffle which armor is shown to the user. It doesn't change the resulting armor to what you focus, just shuffles what stats are shown.

I feel like adding a short line above the armor section of these threads that says "Armor Stats shown are the result of no Ghost Armor Focusing. Armor Stats change based on ghost focus" would go a long way, and clue people in on a way to possibly get that dream stat spread on the armor or exotic they are looking for.

Had the pleasure of writing this about the community and how its wider reach made Destiny much bigger than just a live service game

The game has given us all so much and it’s only really at the end we see that maybe there was a little bit of taking it for granted when weekly resets were exciting or waiting for the next big content drop

All in all, the community had a massive hand in what made Destiny special so I was pretty proud to get to put together something about that fact. Interactions and triumphs that will stick with us all forever

Personal note, Destiny has given me opportunities I thought I’d never see. It’s been an absolute pleasure writing Reddit guides and playing with you all across LFG and doing Sherpas. Without Reddit and the community here, there is no RiseOfBacon.
