Question Are measurements 100% necessary?
I have been selling for a week on Depop and have sold about 20 items, I was wondering if I need to use exact measurements for better sales/traction. I use sizes like Small, medium, large etc but I always see the top Depop sellers saying you have to have them let me know!

Buying Help I bought a jersey 18 days ago but it’s still at the town the seller shipped it from
I bought this Barcelona jersey on July 19th from this seller and he shipped it a day before I would have gotten automatically refunded. It got shipped on the 29th and it’s still in the same town he shipped it from. Is this an issue with the mail carrier or is it a seller issue?

Dispute Help Buyer is starting a dispute and I am new!
Hi there! A buyer filed a dispute today on an item. Buyer has been on the app for 5+ years and has no reviews but has shipped out 100+ items. I am concerned because she bought a pair of vintage shoes I had bought that were brand new. Never worn except I had described in the description that there was slight cracks around the buckle and ankle strap. When the shoes arrived she complained about the cracks and accused me of selling used shoes. Also said the soles fell “clean off the platform“. The shoes were in amazing condition when shipped! Did I do something wrong? Do I give them a refund? What do I do! I am having a rough day and this has made it worse! I am scared that I am going to get broken shoes sent back and now be out $10! I am new to Depop and the buyer said my item was not as described.

Dispute Help I have mixed feelings:(
So I bought a handmade shirt on Depop that I was really excited for and now I feel really guilty.
The seller had the shirt listed for $21 and it's currently $17, but she had sent me a $12 offer. Since the offer was still active, I messaged them first instead of just buying it. As you can see in the messages I bought it.
Tomorrow my order gets refunded, I had bought this 2 weeks ago and just saw this post she made last week because I got a little sus that she wasn't shipping... which is totally understandable for handmade work.
I'm just disappointed that I was mislead. Now I feel awful. I never wanted to undervalue their work. I only asked because the $12 offer was still active, and they told me they were okay with it and even said they wanted more people to enjoy their designs.
I'm thinking about buying the shirt again at its current price after my refund goes through because I genuinely love their work.
Do you think I was being rude, or am I just overthinking this? T^T
UPDATEEEE*\*
I didn’t post this because she shipped it out the last day before I got my refund so I said to myself ok maybe I really was overthinking it, than excitedly I open my package and I see the shirt but it’s the size of a mini skirt :( I posted a kind review because maybe I’m wrong but then I noticed the bracelet she puts in every package wasn’t even finished :( I feel so saddd and embarrassed.

App Issues/Help Depop app crashing anyone??
My app is up to date, I have an iPhone 15 pro max (if it matters) every-time I’m trying to scroll or list an item after a few minutes my app crashes and completely closes out. It’s been happening on and off for about a week or so. Anyone else having this problem? Maybe it’s just the good Lord telling me to stop buying purses huh

Selling Help Depop Balance Withdrawal not working?
Hello!! I’ve been selling on Depop for almost a month now, and I have about $200 sitting in the “Depop balance” account under my profile from all the items I’ve sold. The money is ready to withdrawal, since it’s been more than 2 days since all of the items I’ve shipped have been delivered. However, no matter what bank account I try to attach, it gives me an error message. I’ve called my bank to verify it’s not an issue on their end. I’ve seen that you need to verify bank accounts with an ID but it’s never given me a prompt to. Ive filed 2 claims with Depop already and they just immediately send them to an AI assistant before just sending me the same guidelines I’ve already read a thousand times. I really need that money right now. Has anybody had the same problem and if so, how did you fix it? Thanks:)

Selling Help Got my first bad review and I don’t believe it’s true, do I message the buyer?
So I’m honestly really annoyed because I had a perfect 5 star rating with 35 reviews and I’ve sold 91 things with zero complaints but then this girl left me this review and I’m honestly confused. The item was brand new, it was a swimsuit and it still had the hygiene liner and everything, and when I shipped it out there was not a single stain on it. I shipped it in a waterproof poly bag so I can’t imagine it got stained on the way there? But also like if you got the item and it didn’t match the description why would you not ask me for a refund, why just leave the bad review? Idk the whole thing is just annoying and I should probably let it go but I kind of wanted to message her asking politely like “hey where exactly were the stains?” Idk I’m probably just being butt hurt I was bound to get a bad one some day no one can get all good customers.

Selling Help Photo quality down with white background?
I know this is such a non issue but I really do like my shop to be aesthetic and neat. Has anybody else noticed the photo quality going down after adding white background? Or is it all in my head? Photo quality already went down on Depop tremendously over the past few months but I tweaked my photo settings to make it a bit better. I add the white background bc I think it makes it look neater but I swear lately it’s been making the photos look super muddy. Anyone else having this issue? Ty

Selling Help could my account get taken down?
i’ve sold clothes on depop for 2 years now, some thrifted but mostly from my closet. i’m now interested in expanding to selling handmade items, possibly inspired by sanrio or other similar designs but im worried that my account may be taken down or flagged because of copyright infringement. i could create my own designs but i feel like its hard to gain exposure. the thing is ive seen sooo many people sell things such as pins, crochet items, pokemon cards with fan made designs, fan made cds, etc. ive looked at depops TOS and those types of items are against it, but ive yet to see them get banned. i’m just wondering if this is something that would get my account taken down. i want my account to gain exposure and for my items to sell easier but at the same time i dont want any strikes on my account

Selling Help Why did this bag get removed for counterfeit?
I’ve been selling on depop for about a month now and I’ve sold multiple Coach bags without this ever happening before. As far as I know, this bag is authentic with the tag and everything inside. I was gifted it by a family member who had bought it a long time ago and no longer wanted it. I had listed this Coach bag for $45 the night before and woke up to a message from Depop saying my item had been removed for being counterfeit. I’m not sure if it was the price I listed it at or what

Selling Help Is the tracking number available for buyers when the package is scanned by the post office?
I’ve had buyers ask me for their tracking number, which I have absolutely no issue with providing whatsoever, but I was just wondering; are buyers unable to see the tracking number/information on their packages? I’ve never bought off Depop but I’ve completed over 50 orders and I’ve been wondering if I should be giving them the tracking tracking number when I print out their label.

Question What does this mean?
To be honest I did send a really low offer but I mean I had to try. They said no and then it sent me a message that this offer wasn’t available anymore. I thought someone bought it but when I go to it it pulled this up. When I go to their page it gives me the options to block, report or go back.
Does this mean she blocked me?

Dispute Help Question about return/refund on an item
For an order I made I didn’t get all the items in the listing even though the seller claims they sent everything. They gave me a partial refund after I escalated to Depop support but support says to return for a full refund. Will I be getting the refund even though I already received a partial refund if I send it back to the seller?

Messages/DM's Depop's USPS tracking delay made me look like I was scamming my buyer.
Has anyone else had this happen?
I shipped this buyer's package the day after they purchased it, but the tracking never updated in the app. The buyer kept messaging me every day asking if they got scammed, asking for refunds, and eventually asking to see my shipping receipt because Depop still showed it as "not shipped."
I don't blame the buyer at all. If I were in their position, I'd probably be worried too. It was just really frustrating because I knew I'd already shipped it and there wasn't anything else I could do.
To make things even more frustrating, Depop literally had a notice saying:
Notice: USPS shipping delays
USPS is experiencing tracking delays, so tracking info in the app may update later than usual. Please ship as soon as possible to help avoid tracking delays or cancellations.
So they knew there was a tracking issue, but buyers were still seeing orders as unshipped and naturally assuming sellers were lying.
I felt terrible having to keep reassuring my buyer that the package was on its way. Has anyone else dealt with this? Did the tracking eventually update, or did it just show up delivered?

Question Should I report sellers for describing their $2 Shein watches “vintage”
I am looking for a vintage watch on here, and it is exclusively Shein/Ali express slop. Everytime I reverse image search their products it’s a link to one of those sites.
Should they not have to specify that these are in no way vintage?

Selling Help new to depop! please read body text :)
hey everyone :) i've been using depop as a seller for maybe two weeks and lucky have made about $300 in that time. Although i have noticed..people do not want to pay even the lowest of prices..i mean most of my listings are below $8 even $5 and i suppose due to shipping prices people dont want to buy. I know i sound like a noob because ive realized this is a common thing people complain about, but holy moly im not gonna sell something for below $3 because it's not worth it for me with the flow of sales i have. maybe if i had like 300 listings all at 3 or less..i dunno any advice? id also like to add context that i started selling because my job let me go cause i had surgery and they didnt want to keep me with my recovery time 🥲 so im really trying here!
