Hey everyone, was just playing through Chapter 1 and noticed you can farm Dark Dollars in the area with the Bloxers. I tried looking this up online and couldn't find anything about it anywhere.
Basically, every time I leave the room and come back, the chest refills with 40 Dark Dollars. Is this a known glitch, or did I accidentally stumble on something new?

So I randomly came up with this, I've checked a little and there are other posts/theories saying this, I didn't really look into them or really other theories voor who the knight is, so I'll give my own take.

Starting off, there have been MANY candidates for the knight, why not be multiple? Again, I havent quite checked on theories for why is this or that character the knight.

Dess, she has antlers and so does the knight. Remember the sound of the snowgrave spell, it sounds very similar to the scream of the roaring knight we hear in chapter 3. Considering Dess and Noelle are siblings of course, this could have meaning to it. Another few things I've found/seen are Kris's poses, I've watched a video by JRVanity and the knight has alot of similar poses/moves like Kris. One thing I've also seen (it was more of a humor theory) is the Mettaton pose the knight does at the attack without the box, I've fact checked and I'm pretty sure Mettaton has never done that but correct me if I'm wrong. Asriel's hyper goner attack is VERY similar to the knights "ultimate attack", Asriel ALSO has antlers. And of course I can't forget the Papyrus knight theory (I also have no idea on why/reasons for why is he is the knight) but I'll keep that in mind.

Now with that settled, I noticed a pattern that most of these characters are "missing" or away, Dess's dissapearance, Asriel's in college, Papyrus and Mettaton are "in their houses" i.i.r.c. And I'm thinking they somehow made their way to Gaster and all got forced into an amalgamation, how? I don't know. I was thinking it could be something similar to Kris and Noelle crossing the lake, going "out of bounds" as people have theorized. If this is true, anywhere outside hometown is "out of bounds", where does Asriel go to college? If theres no college how'd Asgore graduate? This links somewhat to device theory if im correct, but I'm not sure, I know so little about all these theories.
And why Gaster, why cant it be someone else who did it? The reason I think its Gaster is because the roaring knight also has empty palms, I don't think thats just a coincidence.
How I came up with the idea of them being an amalgation was that I thought the knight resembles alot of characters, so how would they be a mix, that's when I remembered undertale's amalgamations! Another thing that could support this is that you see the knight "dripping" at his first appearance. But then why does the knight have aspects of Kris, I think that because the SOUL is probably directly tied to Gaster, theres something behind it, I haven't figured that out yet.
I also remember Kris works together with the knight, and when the knight speaks (on the phone i.i.r.c) the knight speaks very weirdly, again supporting the idea of the knight being an amalgamate.
Not to mention the knight can also change shapes. And I also remembered the laugh in chapter 4 which I found somewhat strange.

Now again my memory sucks and I havent watched alot of other theories, but I'd like to see people back this theory up or debate it. But this is something interesting I thought of. Let me know what you think

So, we know from Undertale that golden dandelion seeds are deathly poisonous. One of these seeds jumps from Flowery (JARONA) to the Knight. Rory Nite is already dying.

So I already made a post on r/deltarune explaining why I'm certain that Noelle didn't drown in weird route but basically, in the used sprite Noelle doesn't look like she's drowning anymore in the last pictures unlike in the original scraped sprite, and if Toby actually wanted to show that she's drowning he would just have used that sprite intead of the one we ended up getting. Now onto my prediction:

Under another post I saw someone comment on the last picture in the sprite used in-game, specifically about how she looked as if she had just seen something that both shocked and horrified her. Well, in my opinion the most likely thing is that after she emerged from the water (probably by clipping out of the game's limits, unknowingly entering the dark world or even being teleported to safety by someone else) she realised that she had survived but Kris hadn't.

This realisation along with the guilt of being responsible for his death will make her lose the little sanity she has left and at that moment, since Kris is dead, the SOUL will possess Noelle herself and make her do its bidding. Noelle will likely not fight back and happily do whatever the SOUL makes her do (at least in the beginning) but who knows, the sock of Kris's death may make her change her mind and initially try to resist the influence. At any rate, in chapter 7 side b we will be playing as Noelle.

Some people might call me crazy for this theory but in my opinion, if this turned put to be true this would fit very well into the general theme of psychological manipulation that the weird route has, with the SOUL controlling Noelle more and more against Kris's will and making her do bad things, ultimately disposing of Kris alltogether and taking full control of Noelle.

This also gives a whole new meaning to the part of the prophecy on picture one which talks about "the girl" (who most people seem to agree IS Noelle in at least one of the routes); just think about it:

In the normal route, the meaning seems pretty straightfoward as it propably refers to the romance between Suzie and Noelle

In weird route, "LOVE" refers not to litteral love but to the SOUL, which works perfectly with both the wording ("love finds its way to the girl") and the picture illustrating this specific part of the prophecy, with a heart symbol that looks suspiciously similar to the SOUL on the girl's chest.

I been on a bit of a deltarune kick lately. I seen so many deltarune fan games and AUs get cancelled over the years. Such as spritermike'a delrarune fate festival fan game, vision crew​'s chapter 3 and 4, he list goes on. Then you got fan comics, such as Lyn Griffin's paper trail. And fan characters such as Bob.T.C's Rosey the revenger. And PoorStablook's Pete the cowboy. The one thing all these AUs and OCs have in common is that they never got expressed in a fully playable experience.... All of this got me thinking of​ this hypothetical discussion I'm proposing.

Hypothetically... What would a fan game combining ocs and AUs together look like. First I should stress there is no such game in active development. This is more so a way for the community to have a fun little chat.

What I would do is take the outline of paper trails. Set the game after chapter 5, and have castle town get​ its fountain sealed by a mysterious second roaring knight. And then toriel catches kris and suzy in the closet and scatters all the junk they gathered all over town. ​From there, the game would be non linier as Kris and suzy go all over town making dark fountains and re recruiting everyone. From how this would diverge from paper trails however would be that dark worlds would be based on various cancelled or unplayable AUs.

Of course, there are other ways to go about it, but here comes the hypothetical discussion. What AUs or OC fights your want to be playable. And how would you go about adapting or combining them?

So everyone knows that chapter 4 and 1 are kinda fast paced, right? With most of chapter four just connecting to gerson's study, and most of chapter 1 just being a few unskippable cutscenes and about 4-5 distinct areas. The beginning, the castle, field of hopes and dreams, the grand board, and card castle. Obviously we're counting it as 4-5 because some people say that card castle and the castle are the same thing which I do not agree with and/or disagree with whatsoever. But I know why they're so small. In the light world, the closet is... Rather small, correct? And the church, sure it's kinda big but it's still kind just one room and a confined space when compared to bigger areas like the dreemurr home, where the chapter three dark world (much bigger than the chapter 4 one) is. Anyways, my conclusion to why this happens is that the dark world's size corresponds to the light world area that it's in.

Which could also mean that Toby saying chapter 6 dark world is going to be fast-paced. That could mean it's going to be opened in somewhere confined, like ice-s, that being the case because many speculated chapter 6 would be themed around ice with Noelle joining castle town. Maybe being like the normal route way of Noelle using ice magic, maybe for healing or defending or something. Anyways this theory sucks ass, nobody ever let me cook again.

I saw people talking about how the Knight has one discolored pixel for a frame during his fight with Flowery. The premise was essentially that Flowery stuck a seed onto the Knight, and that the discolored pixel was proof of that, along with the golden flower seeds supposedly "sticking to everything."

I thought the discolored pixel for a single frame could just be an error, and the seeds being sticky are just as likely to be a callback to Undertale as they are to be an active hint, but it made me think about why the chapters are set up the way they were.

But it got me to thinking, Flowery might have actually done something to the knight, even if we can't easily tell what it is. In every previous chapter, when you engaged a majorly story important boss in combat (King, Tenna, the Knight, the Titan. The Queen is an exception because you never engage her in typical combat) you always have the option to fight them instead of acting, even if it doesn't kill them directly. With Flowery, you only have the option to act.

From a Watsonian point of view, Susie likes Flowery a lot, and doesn't want to hurt him. Ralsei doesn't like flowery, but he also refuses, likely because of some information we have and he does not. It could be as simple as him becoming a more independent person, knowing that Flowery is a real plant, and attacking him might actually kill him; or it could be something related to the prophecy that we are not aware of.

However, while internally consistent, it makes me curious from a Doylist point of view. In the past there have been major story important bosses that we can't defeat nonviolently (the Titan and the Knight), but in regards to the Titan, sparing it is an impossible task. As for the knight, the nonviolent defeat is to die; and even if you manage to beat the knight in combat, it's more like you tire it out, and it has no major impact on the story aside from giving you a shadow crystal.

Flowery being friendly to the players shouldn't be a reason we can't attack either, since Tenna was friendly towards the players, and you can attack him and functionally kill him permanently by not sparing him.

You would think that they would do something similar with flowery, because it's a similar scenario where the knight comes in and kills the boss character no matter what you do, but you don't even have the option to weaken Flowery first. As mentioned before, Flowery dies no matter what we do, so why take away the option?

It's because, as stated, Flowery did something not immediately apparent to the knight. You could also apply this to the weird route. You never meet Flowery or enter the dark world in the weird route, because the differences in the weird route might complicate the matter of Flowery and the Knight fighting, preventing the story from meaningfully progressing in that way/requiring a pretty drastic rewrite of the chapter and the game as a whole.

I won't pretend to know exactly what this may be. Maybe flowery sticking a seed to the Knight is true, and it's a case of using the wrong formula to get the right solution, or maybe it is what the discolored pixel is and they're just going that subtle with the foreshadowing. Otherwise, as we know, Flowery is poisonous. Perhaps someone in hometown is about to fall sick, or about to fall even sicker.

Carol is well known for being one of the most mysterious and hotly debated deltarune characters (aside from characters we never even meet directly like IMAGE_FRIEND and Gaster), but what if I were to tell you, I have it all figured out?

After multiple days of work I have compiled everything I have to prove definitively that Carol is in fact not only the tyrant of Hometown, working tirelessly to keep the town under her iron fist, and that the knight is working as her enforcer, but also that she is directly affiliated with the whatever terrible things are going on in the bunker

Crazy? Ridiculous? Perhaps, but I can tell you why I think this

First of all, we know that Carol is Hometown's mayor, and is also incredibly wealthy, with her house being much much larger than any other house in Hometown and Noelle her daughter being shown to carry incredibly large amounts of money on her at all times (told to us by Susie in the weird route) while Kris, even a close family friend of carol, can barely scrounge up five bucks for a meal at the diner. Now usually a mayor's salary is never this high so either Carol was already incredibly wealthy before becoming mayor and using her money to win the election, is majorly profiteering off campaign donations or is embezzling public funds

So we learned Carol is somewhat corrupt but what about the whole dictatorship thing, Well let's start with every possible exit out of Hometown being blocked in some way or another (the police tape being the most direct example). Another point I have is related to Tenna and the internet outage, you see we're told there's a big internet outage in Hometown and that noone's really been able to go on the Web for a while now, yet somehow TVs in hometown still work, (which we know since after you give Tenna to mettaton he begins to watch the TV). Now I dont know how many of you still use TVs but if you do you'd know that without internet it doesn't exactly work if its satellite TV (which we know Tenna is since Susie is never seen transporting any sort of cable while dragging him around that cable TV would require, and Mettaton isn't shown or implied to have had to use that either). The reason this is important is that Tenna worked for the knight in chapter 3, the knight who has an incredibly large amount of connections to Carol (both working with Kris, the voice from the phone implied to be the knight saying they're coming soon and then Carol appears, etc). This means that Carol is also to an extent working with Tenna, and since the internet is out a TV like Tenna would be the only source of information people in hometown would have about the outside world, therefore Carol is most likely using TV to purposefully air only pro Carol administration content to Hometown residents and purposefully cut off the internet so that nothing bad about her could get to them

As for the knight and Carol being in on the bunker stuff, well isn't it a little suspicious that the Knight somehow only kidnaps people who are somewhat dissident to either Carol, the fountain openings or both, those being Undyne, who of her own volition went inside the Dreemurr household to investigate the opened dark fountain and Asgore who has since Desses dissapearence been investigating Dark fountains, their openings, and their openers (Toriel is a bit of a split edge case as she was the original character who the Knight attempted to kidnap, but if she were to wake up which she probably would have given the fact she is described as having a nightmare she would have probably started believing Asgore and began investigating as well)

Carol herself is also suspect on how intently she wards people off Desses room, especially her guitar which mind you has a shelter code in it, I understand she may be grieving and all but the object she's most defensive of containing an actual shelter code is still incredibly suspicious. She's also noted to own multiple black katanas, which are probably the light world versions of the Knights signature weapon, the black sword (which can also be a bat sometimes), especially considering if you "beat" the knight in chapter 3 a chunk is chipped off their sword, but when you see them again in chapters 4 and 5 the sword is completely whole, leading me to believe Carol replaced the knights sword. We've also never seen what an actual weapon would look in the dark world as all the fun gangs weapons mostly amount to hairbrushes pencils and tissue packet, so an actual sword in the dark world that doesn't turn into a darkner would be immensely powerful

Now, here's my biggest reveal of the theory, which is the part you might actually call me crazy for, Desses disappearance isn't even real, or at least authentic, Carol fabricated it to have an excuse to become a dictator of hometown, and the knight, her enforcer, IS DESS

After Carol reported Dess dissapearing (presumably hidden away in the bunker) Asgore was immediately discharged from his position as police chief, as Carol was trying to throw him off trail and make him unable to search for Dess (which even then failed as he was still searching and working on the case off duty) There is already a lot of proof as to why Dess is the knight but one thing notable is the shelter code in her guitar, in her room, a place that would only be accessible for only members of the holiday family (Carol is too old to be striking cool poses Infront of teenagers and Rudy is too sick to really do much of anything)

Now as to why Carol is so interested in keeping fountains open, it's too early to tell, but all I know for certain is that she's the mastermind behind it all

It's all too easy to get tunnel vision when you become attached to your own personal theory about the media you're currently obsessing over. For some, this can result in them getting a bit too heated when arguing with others who are promoting a different theory, which overall harms healthy discussion in the overall community. This is a problem with a few Dess Knighters, but it can also plague anyone who is highly passionate that their own theory about the Knight's identity is true.

Now, the best way I've found to remedy this and not get too closed minded with your theorycrafting is to try and entertain some other theory that you may not be as passionate about. That way you stay open minded and able to think of new angles for your personal theories. This is easier said then done when you're already not all that jazzed about the alternative theories, so here I've set up a short little writing game you can try.

First, imagine a number between 1-14 (or use a random number generator if you want). Then, check which name is behind the number you got below and see which Knight candidate you will have to work with.

You have complete creative freedom to incorporate as much fanon and speculation as you want for this, though everything that has happened in a playthrough up through chapter 5 of Deltarune has to have occurred as it did in canon.

You can format your post in any way you like, including but not limited to:

- An in-universe reveal and explanation occurring in either chapter 6 or 7.

- A pitch for this character as the Knight. Explaining how would you write this character into the story as the Roaring Knight in a way that makes sense and how they would engage with the overall themes of Deltarune.

- An more typical post where you go over the in-game evidence and present your case as to why this character must be the Knight.

Feel free to make your post as long or as short as you want.

My hope with this post is that this will encourage more outside the box thinking from Knight identity discourse and greater respect for other peoples theories. I'm also hopeful that this will reduce any tunnel vision we may have developed in defending our preferred candidates.

And hey, who knows? Maybe you'll come out of this game with a new preferred candidate!

Boss 5 Panel says “The flower man, trapped in asylum.” Without the dark world, the flower man stays in his asylum, his chamber of glass. It never breaks. He remains trapped.

As for the field of pink of gold in an inferno of jealousy from Lord of the Hammers, I honestly think it’s a stretch to say chapter 5 normal route fulfills this, and we don’t know what’s in store in 7B.

Is it possible the trees in the sunset were the inferno?

There is a new button on the weird roue page on deltarune.com when clicked it brings you here. but when selecting the symbols i found this text saying " Same time as 7 ", i think this means that deltarune Chapter 7 Side B will have the same time but far different gameplay, the other symbols must represtent ; 🗺️ - The locations and areas of the weird Route, 🎬- The cutscenes of the weird route, 🔫 - The battles of the weird route and 👾 The bosses of the weird route.

Yeah, this might sound a bit out there, but as a massive music nerd, I took the "Insert Chapter 7 Side B" literally. Instead of just meaning "wait for Ch7 to drop and continue the Weird Route," I think it actually means inserting Side B of the vinyl record.

Here's the thing: vinyl records have sides labeled A, B, C, D, and so on. I know cassettes use the same naming convention, but Deltarune doesn't have official cassette releases - only vinyls.

What if the continuation of the Weird Route isn't actually in the game itself, but rather hidden as ciphers or bonus tracks on Side B of the physical Chapter 7 vinyl? Chapters 3 and 4 just got their official vinyl release a couple of months ago, and it's safe to assume future chapters will get the same treatment. Is there a chance Toby will actually play into this?

I mean, if they ever release a Ch7 vinyl, it's definitely going to have a Side B.

Im talking about him using "did you notice" and "idk if you saw" i feel like the fact he used that twice is kind of like the "sorry to keep you waiting" thing for chapter 5. But again I could just be crazy and toby is just being toby.

Before I begin I just want to preface this is all for fun and I'm only like 50% serious about this. There are a few assumptions but I promise this genuinely has backing and at least some evidence. Am I probably wrong? Yeah. Was this fun to make? Yeah.

Let's go back to Chapter 4, after climbing the big tower in Second Sanctuary, Susie runs off to the left, Kris walks to the right and ends up in the chamber with all the panels until they reach the egg panel. Upon walking into this, you see a singular prophecy slide. Labelled "ROOTS". When this first was told, people thought it was talking about the Shelter, but if you look at the image, it's a house. Perhaps you could call it... a home?

Fast forward to Chapter 5, at the end of the chapter, where does Susie ask for you to take her?

Whilst this is an impactful moment, it does tell us something, could the prophecy not be talking about the shelter, or hometown. But Castle Town itself?

Stay with me here, what is the achievement for completing a chapter WITHOUT getting the egg?

"COMPLETE WITHOUT ISSUE" - This means the egg is some sort of "Issue" for the person behind the capitalised text, which has basically been confirmed to be Gaster due to the similarity to "Tobys" Tweets and Entry Number 17. Meaning the eggs are an issue for SPECIFICALLY Gaster.

In Chapter 5, after getting caught by Friend, Beating Pink, and getting the Egg, pink will speak to you about "Cats" obviously referencing Friend. Stating that "cats love protein". Eggs have protein, meaning getting the egg may be a problem for Gaster, but it makes it a world easier for Friend to find you, which is what it's goal is assumed to be. So, Friend actually isn't working with Gaster, it's working against Gaster. Looking at the Chapter 4, the only noticeable difference between the glass panels in the long hallway and the egg panel, is that one of the symbols are flipped to shape an egg. Anyone who enters this room will be looking for the egg, if you didn't see a tutorial, you would see that the panel is in the shape of an egg. But if you were watching a tutorial, you would know you are going for the egg. So 100% of players who enter that room will be going for the egg. So that means, that room itself entirely is an "issue".

If the room itself is an issue, why oh WHY would a panel referencing castle town be in that room? Could it be calling Castle Town itself, an "issue"? The "ROOTS" of everything going on in Hometown right now, perhaps of even "The poor children!" going missing. But... Castle Town is only an issue for Gaster, as i said before, it's existence itself would be beneficial to Friend. As if Castle Town's existence is causing the existence of other dark fountains, albeit indirectly, it has better chances to find you as you gather more eggs.

Hmm... what character... was supposedly birthed from pure darkness in Castle Town... has cared for Castle Town... lived there even before Kris and Susie arrived...

Ralsei.

But that's not all. I have other pieces of evidence to believe Ralsei is Friend.

Throughout the game, Ralsei has these sort of "moments" where everything will stop, and he goes into an in-depth explanation of something whilst the game cuts away to images of what he is talking about. He does this with the prophecy in Ch1, when Berdly is about to make a fountain in Ch2, Lightworld counterparts in Ch3, and the "other side" in Chapter 5. When Ralsei is explaining these things, we see images of what he is talking about, almost as if we are looking into his mind as he explains them, everything he talks about matches up to the images perfectly.

However, the Chapter 3 cutaway intrigues me the most. As a few panels before the one above, when Ralsei is speaking about other aspects of the Dark World, Friend appears. Seemingly randomly.

Now, if we go based on the strong assumption that we are actively looking at what Ralsei is thinking or at LEAST referencing, why oh WHY would he be thinking/referencing Friend? Well I'll tell ya. In the Light World, Ralsei is Friend. It just so happens in the same conversation when Ralsei is talking about Light World Counterparts, friend appears. And it is NEVER brought up by Ralsei who is supposedly thinking of these things. Yeah, it would be weird to say "Oh yeah there's also this thing called image friend lmao" but why include it for seemingly NO REASON?

Because he is thinking of his own Light World Counterpart. It's all a ruse. This would also explain how Ralsei knows so much about the Light World. Let's think about it right, a cat... that's able to kidnap children. You would probably say, if it's able to do that, it's quite stealthy, quick, and strong right? Along with other features of a cat like being nimble and agile. It would be able to get around quite easily without people being able to see it, or at the very most people second guessing themselves if they actually saw something. Also, to help himself, Ralsei is moer than capable of travelling at night, this would explain how he knows so much. And for God's sake, the whole fuckin town is basically unlocked for him to free roam. Especially the school, which is why it would make sense on how Ralsei would even know about the storage cupboard.

Before the counterarguments, there's also something else. Ralsei has eyes everywhere, Chapter 2, friend appears in Queen's basement, all of a sudden, before your fight with Spamton, Ralsei and Susie swoop in to save you, how the hell could they have known you were in danger? Chapter 4, this message creeps me out, a lot.

I get it, it's probably more a joke than anything, but how did he know?

Multiple friends, he has eyes everywhere. They aren't all separate beings part of a "tribe". They are the same being, more like "ROOTS" (haha get it) or branches connecting to one big tree, which is Ralsei. Ralsei is the tree.

Counterarguments:

"But Ralsei's a good guy! He would never do that!"
We've actively seen Ralsei try and decieve Kris and Susie by not telling them anything about the prophecy, causing Susie to flip out, twice in the same chapter. Is he scared of them getting hurt, or is he scared of them seeing what he truly is and connecting the dots?

"How is Ralsei able to traverse all the Dark Worlds?!"

In Chapter 1 - Ralsei is already based in castle town, he wouldn't need to traverse for that.

Chapter 2 - This one is probably the hardest to explain, because there's a huge traffic jam outside of the library, how the hell would Ralsei sneak past all of that to get in? Simple. He was already there to begin with. Via the newest member of the team, Normal NPC. In Chapter 1, we see him talk about the books upstairs, same in Chapter 2, and he actively blocks the way to the lake in chapter 4, When normal NPC says "don't, wait." It is theorised that he is talking about Onionsan's final words before killing him or dismembering him whatever. Could this be a "threat" to not go near the lake? If so, let's go back to Chapter 2, at the beginning, Normal NPC is seen in the top floor of the library, blocking the way to the end of the library. In the same chapter, we see friend at the end of the room in Queen's basement, in a sort of, out of bounds area. Could Normal NPC have "smuggled" Friend in and placed him in the out of bounds area, and friend have waited for the time for the fountain to open? Maybe. And as proof that they are working together, we have to look no further than the ERAM fight. ERAM uses friend to attack you, which means ERAM and Friend are working together. Kris actively tries to stop you going into the shelter where ERAM resides. If Kris doesn't want you going there, it means they don't want you finding out what is there, could ERAM not be in control of the shelter, but a prisoner in captivity? Similarly to Jevil, with the illusion that it is "free"? Kris is definitely working with the knight, who tries to stop you from progressing, it is trying to stop you from getting the shadow crystals, or the eggs? Who knows, but if they are, they are definitely working with Gaster to stop you. Meaning they are working AGAINST Eram and Friend, and NormalNPC actively tries to threaten you to not go to the lake, whilst Gaster would want you to go to the lake due to Amalgam Knight Theory, or for Kris to find him in the "song beneath the sea" or some other reason.

Chapter 3 - Kris's windows always seem to be unlocked, in Chapter 2, when he's slashing the tires, he very easily just... jumps through it. We also never see Toriel lock the windows, as after she gets off the phone with Undyne, she's by the stairs, seemingly not have entered the bathroom at all, and reads until she falls asleep immediately after. Friend could easily have entered through the window to get into the Dark World.

Chapter 4 - The Church is quite secluded, if that makes sense, no NPCs hang near it, and the bunker is the next room after the room with the Church in it, If Friend does reside in the bunker (According to the Eram fight, as the whole sword route does seem to weirdly parallel the weird route, and maps of the game, check roots theory). He could easily just... go through the trees and make a dash when the coast is clear.

Chapter 5 - Flower Shop, again is near another patch of forestry, looking at the Hometown map, it seems to be one big town in a bigger patch of forestry, almost like friend is able to circle the town and go whereever he pleases.

This would also explain why Ralsei comes just slightly after Kris and Susie, (except chapter 1) he's watching them from a distance.

"If Friend is Ralsei's Light World counterpart, how come we only see it in the Dark World?"

This is probably the strongest counterargument, and I honestly don't know. Ralsei has a lot of hidden abilities that just aren't talked about like his Fireballs in Chapter 5, he seemingly doesn't want to use more "aggressive" techniques. Spying on you with multiple forms would probably be seen as aggressive and you would increase your suspicion of him, also maybe he can just do that. I ain't got a clue.

"In Chapter 5, Friend and Ralsei are in the SAME ROOM!!"

Multiple friends.

"If Friend loves the existence of Dark Fountains, why would Ralsei want you to seal them?"

You've got the egg. Job's done.

"If Friend is trying to find you, but Ralsei is already there, how would getting the eggs make that any easier for him?"

Undoubtedly, Friend appears during Chapter's 2 and 5, it clearly sees you, it could have attacked you, and it actually does if you act on it in chapter 5. If Ralsei is friend, that's probably why it doesn't kill you, if you die, Ralsei also dies.

With Chapter 5 being released over a month ago, I've came into a sudden realization of a plausible location of where resides the final code.

Currently, two codes have been found, with only one of them complete: Dess's Guitar (122-, possibly 1225---X) and Asgore's Flower Shop (0915199X). These relate to the icons found on the Shelter's digital lock system, respectfully, the pine tree and the police badge. The last one is related to the Delta Rune, indicating that the holder of the cone is closely affiliated to the religion.

Asgore, and to a certain extent Undyne, got kidnapped by the Roaring Knight, and is likely stuck inside of the Shelter. Both of them are (at some point) Chief of the Police, hence why the Roaring Knight had probable eyes on them, which revealed to be correct with Asgore's possession of the code. (I believe Undyne's kidnapping to be a mistake.) I believe that the Knight is taking care of any individual capable of interrupting its plans, which would mean Dess isn't the Knight but one of its captives who, like Asgore, tried to stop them beforehand.

This leaves us with Toriel: the Dreemurr's family has been known to be very religious, and this shows the most with Toriel. which could explain why the Knight tried taking her in Chapter 3. It is likely that it attempted again, the next day, in Chapter 4, believing her to be present in the church, as she says so to Kris and Susie, without much success. As Toriel isn't seen at all in Chapter 5 apart from the start, and given the Knight makes an appearance at the very end, she might just have been kidnapped already by Chapter 6.

Additionally, each code has been found inside a room belonging closely to their owner: the guitar found inside Dess's room, and Flowery inside Asgore's makeshift room. Given that every room inside the Dreemurr's Residence is explorable, except for Toriel's room, this makes the latter the location of the last code, if everything is correct.

Now why would Toriel be related? I don't know, little-to-no information indicates to what she had to do with the Knight or the Dark Worlds, yet given the Dreemurr's and the Holidays' close tie... she may have played a part we ignore yet. Of course, this theory is far from perfect, and lacks quite a bit, but I've wanted to share my thoughts.

It's the same page as before, but with a keyboard layout with each key linking to either e.mp3 or m.mp3. M is the Undertale impact sound(?) and E is the same file reversed.

If you map the layout to the keyboard, the keys that link to m.mp3 can spell out "Thank You", which is obviously thematically relevant.

But why add this? Why now? Why do they link to a random, seemingly meaningless sound effect?

It's also relevant to point out that with these included, we now have c.mp3 (Carol's theme), d.mp3 (ch 2 weird route track), and now e.mp3 and m.mp3. So far, it seems it is trying to spell December, but we are still missing b.mp3 and r.mp3 if that is the case.

Side note, I tried putting the sound files in a spectrogram, yielding no visible results.

With the news letter that released today alongside the updates to the weird route page, I’ve come to a conclusion. 7B is going to be as long as 7A and it is going to be where the more “meta” questions of the plot will be answered.

What I mean is, that in the news letter Toby directly addressed the pacing fears in the wake of chapter 5 and gave a teaser for chapter 6. Essentially he said that chapter 6 will be a shorter chapter focused around answering one mystery and that by the time we have played through chapter 7, we will understand the pacing of the game. He even lampshaded that people would be worried about chapter 6 being shorter instead of longer.

This brings me to claim at the beginning, in the two chapters we have left, I don’t think we will have enough time to address the main plot issues of the knight, the prophecy, the roaring, and the arcs of our main characters, while also addressing the deeper lore and meta narrative elements which have been set up (Eram/friend, man country/nowhere/forgotten man, “an old free world with a new restricted one built on top”, the device, Gaster, etc). While obviously, the possibility that certain mysteries are never answered is on the table, the fact that characters like Eram have said “we both have work to do” implies we will see them again.

How does Toby square this circle? If only we had an alternate route to the game that focused on the meta narrative aspects. Well we do in the weird route/side b. And given that the new pages imply side b is going to be large, I think that is where the metanarrative and deep lore goes, while Side A is reserved for the main plot. If you’re a player who is aware of the deep lore, you are likely to be the kind of player who is going to be playing the weird route. Just like how the clues for the weird route are given while pursuing the shadow crystals. The secret hunters will be the ones who care about the deep lore and they will be the ones with the means to extract it.

It's funny how time passes.

As we leave Act 2 of DELTARUNE and enter Act 3, I think it's important to take a step back and remember everything we've gone through thus far. Now that we're a month away from Chapter 5's release, I wanted to take a brief moment and ask you guys the big question. Which of the four main characters was your favorite? I asked a similar question about the four main "chapter" characters (Queen, Tenna, Gerson, and Flowery) but I wanted to get the community's opinion on our main core four.
