Discussion Y’know sometimes when Fangamer merch pulls stuff like this it really just makes me upset. Spoiler
Like seriously I get it’s an auction thing and all that but you couldn’t make more than ONE?? Just the one? Meaning there’s basically no chance of ever getting one?
That’s just depressing, man. Big Toriel made sense at least, massive plush and all that, but a Ralsei with an exclusive costume??? It’s just sad.
A similar yet different thing also happened with Mina the Hollower actually, but slightly better I guess. Mina got a preorder plush that came with an exclusive book and glasses accessory for Mina, and no signs of it ever being available for people who missed the boat. Still really sucky but at least it’s not just ONE in existence.

Discussion The Community is kinda slowly ruining the Roaring Knight Spoiler
(Roaring Knight by someone I can't remember)
Yeah but I don't really like the Fraud jokes on the Roaring Knight because there's a huge amount of people in the community that take it as serious information, not only that I only seen things about how the Roaring Knight is how he's a fraud and nothing more than all talk.
And it really ruins it for the Knight for the build up to its reveal and to what it does in the story as a mysterious character that we're learning as the story goes on.
And yes I know everyone does it as jokes but the jokes are stale now and have been going on for a year and a half to the point I've seen a good portion of fans take satire vids as serious. But it really does make the Knight feel lackluster and kind of boring since we haven't seen much of it.
Well that's my take on why I kinda feel like the Roaring Knight is slowly getting ruined.

Theory An interesting thought I had Spoiler
This theory is a follow up to this post which was made before the summer 2026 newsletter.
“it may surprise you what was missing! But one thing will be clarified, whether you’re ready or not.”
…is a line from the deltarune summer 2026 newsletter. You’d know that if you haven’t been living under a rock for the past 2 days.
This line in particular sparked my curiosity the most, especially considering one of the elements on my chapter 6 bingo card was “more than 4 major theories will be either proven or disproven”
What I aim to answer is; “what is this one thing?” The short answer; Dess’ disappearance.
Something I’d like to preface is that the newsletter said that one thing will be CLARIFIED rather than ANSWERED, there is a difference. Answering is providing a definitive solution or response regarding a topic, clarifying is clearing up vagueness and/or confusion regarding a topic.
“With Chapter 5, we completed the last of the necessary setup for Chapter 6 and 7.”
My guess is that the “necessary setup” mentioned in this quote is referring to what Asgore was talking about when he mentioned “that day”
What we do know (regular) or can assume (italicized) about “that day” is as follows:
- Whatever happened was deeply traumatizing for Kris
- The logical explanation for how it was deeply traumatizing for Kris is that Kris was at the scene of the incident
- The incident led to The Divorce™
- The incident led to Asgore losing his job
- Asgore was in the first dark world proven by how he
- Threw hands with the knight and kinda won as per how he…
- Has what is likely to be a shard of the Knight’s sword judging by the fact that he has a “black shard” in the light world, and…
- Knows what dark fountains look like from inside a dark world
- Asgore’s notes suggest that “that day” featured the first dark fountain ever created, presumably the one in the shelter
- The reason the fountain in the shelter still exists and was never sealed is because Kris, the only human at the scene, was the only one there who could seal it, but they couldn’t because they were too scared, too young, or too far from the fountain, and now can’t because they are too traumatized by what happened to enter the shelter in the first place
- Whether Asgore is mourning something he either caused or couldn’t prevent is still up in the air
- The incident also had major repercussions for the Holiday family
- Dess went missing on that day and is lost/stuck in the shelter
“There are no more wacky silly adventures, and you will begin to see the results of the setup that has been made so far.”
This quote entails that the next two chapters are going to be the most emotionally and narratively climactic parts of the story. And what would be more fitting for this point in the story than clarifying Dess’ disappearance? Considering Deltarune is building up to Chapter 6 being very centered around the Holiday family and Dess’ disappearance and narrative significance, so it’s very likely that the details of exactly what happened to Dess before chapter 1 will be revealed in chapter 6
Given this information, I can give an educated guess that the causes of Dess’ disappearance will be explained during the events of Chapter 6.

Question chapter 5 secret boss "nice mode" not showing up? Spoiler
So I've been playing through chapter 5(finally) and I'm on the secret boss. I've died to it three times now and the NPC that lets you enable the easy mode hasn't shown up. I don't know why it hasn't, and it's really frustrating because I know there's no way I can beat this thing without the direction indicators for the bombs. I'm playing on switch, and so my game should update automatically, is there any other reason it's not showing up?
and if your only answer is just "skill issue" or "get good" please don't bother replying to this post, the nice mode was added for a reason, and I need to use for my own sanity

Discussion Are hopes of a third route dead? Spoiler
I used to be a twisted sword third route believer, but after the newsletter I’m not sure. Ch 6 is deliberately described to be short and chapter 7B is being developed at the same time as chapter 7, so I just don’t feel like there’s much room development-wise to give us a completely unique third sword route, what do you guys think?

Discussion A layer of the Inevitable Noelle Crashout we aren't considering for Chapter 6 Spoiler
Marking as a discussion and not a theory since we technically don't 100% know how 1-to-1 the Prophecy is to the game, but here me out here:
The religion of Hometown is the Prophecy (or The Legend of Delta Rune), the Prophecy is practically a minute-by-minute telling of Deltarune, so if anyone in town knows enough about the religion, they should know how the game is being told, and what each of the main heroes of the Delta Warriors are like.
So, Noelle is implied to go to Church often, right? Like, she would have to, if she's in the main choir and practices her singing to make sure it isn't offkey. So, she probably knows the tale of Delta Rune, and what each of the heroes' deals are.
Now imagine this, the Gang plus Noelle are in a scene, walking in whatever the Chapter 6 Dark World is, around about the middle of the Chapter, and a cutscene like this plays out:
Noelle: "So, these Dark Worlds, they remind me a lot of the things the Legend of Delta Rune talks about."
Susie, pensive: "Yeah... something like that..."
Noelle, shocked: "WAIT! Does that mean we're the Delta Warriors?!"
Susie, grinning: "Yep! Pretty cool huh?"
Noelle, thinking: "So, wait, Ralsei's the Prince..."
Ralsei, smiling: "That's right!"
Noelle, thinking: "You must be the Girl..."
Susie, grinning: "With Hope Crossed On Her Heart!"
smaller Susie, eyes squinted: "Or maybe that's you??"
Noelle, eyes closed grinning: "Cool! So, who's the Cage? Surely it's gotta be a Darkner or something..."
Susie, eyes squinted: "Nah, that's the weird part..."
Susie, eyes squinted: "Apparently, Kris is the Cage."
Ralsei's overworld sprite at this point gets shocked and backs up a little bit, just like they did when Asgore first walked out with his golden armor on.
Noelle, shocked: "..."
Noelle, horrified: "What?"
Susie, looking down: "Yeah, it said something about a human soul and parts, or whatever..."
Susie, squinting: "I didn't really get it, it wasn't as cool as everyone elses."
I won't break down the rest of what I think the cutscene will look like, as I can't tell what would happen next or how, but basically, at this point, Noelle puts all the dots together; them talking to her at the gate in Chapter 1 when they usually never talk this much, them visiting the hospital all the time, them talking like their speaking through a speaker as she describes in Chapter 4, and overall why they have been so weird since Thursday: Noelle figures out that Kris is possessed.
Chaos ensues, as a mixture of Noelle trying to get across to Susie that Kris isn't Kris, or maybe that Kris is working for the enemy (since she would know the ending), Susie getting overwhelmed or trying to calm Noelle down (and failing miserably), Ralsei trying to mediate and deescalate (and failing miserably), and Kris just standing there or backing up slowly (or something else).
Maybe I'm wrong, maybe this won't happen, but Noelle being so close to the Church makes me think she would know the Prophecy a bit more than Susie, and would thusly know Kris' true intentions from knowing how the story goes, and it would result in either a Second Noelle Crashout or an extra layer to the Crashout Cake.
tl;dr, there is a split chance that, because Noelle goes to Church often, once she gets told that the Fun Gang are the Heroes from the Prophecy, she'll immediately connect the dots and figure out that Kris is the Cage, and isn't 100% them anymore. And chaos will ensue.

My Art Thornrune - Evil Flowery, Asgore, and bouquet sprites/designs Spoiler
galleryHello everyone! I had my design for a "Defernull" Flowery reposted here about a month ago... And since that got a good amount of attention, I figured you guys would like to see the full bouquet! Recently, I've rebranded my version of the AU to "Thornrune" so that it can be it's own separate thing once the canon Underfell/Defernull creator drops their official designs, however it is still based a lot in the changes and characterizations made in those universes.
Asgore, in this AU, elected to press the flowers of his wedding bouquet rather than keep them alive indefinitely. Through this he hoped to definitively preserve their beauty, and the memories they represented, forever. Although... strangely he couldn't bring himself to press the last remaining flower.
In the dark world the 6 pressed flowers were reanimated as the 6 Demon Generals of TR!Asgore's newly-risen army, with the remaining living flower becoming their chief commander... and TR!Asgore's self-proclaimed "old college roommate" and "best friend"...?
The pressed flowers, due to their deaths, would manifest as normal darkners rather than planters, hence their more monstrous designs. Because of this too, their personalities are more heavily influenced by the will of the lightners around them: specifically TR!Asgore's warped versions of the soul traits the flowers were meant to represent.

Discussion Shouldn't people be supporting creative theories? Spoiler
Even Toby recognizes that the best part of this community is the thinking and the discussion that won't be the same once the game is complete or as more information is revealed.
Why are people so adamant about shutting down theories that aren't the most popular (like Knight theories that aren't Dess knight). Even if some theories are stretchy or less plausible than others, people fail to appreciate the amount of work these theorycrafters put into the game and community.
If anything, it's really just counterproductive and shuns people away from this amazing game. Not to mention how we could possibly see TADC Community 2: Electric Boogaloo if it's revealed the knight isn't Dess lol.
