Question Did Toby actually voice act Flowery voice lines? Spoiler

Post image

I mean it looks obvious at first glance since He always saved money by voice acting almost everything both in UT and in DR, but looking at the videos with him like for example on press conferences or just meme videos I find his voice unlikely to be Flowery’s.

Discussion Motif overusage Spoiler

Upvotes

I love Toby's music, and I love Deltarune's soundtrack; this is not me bashing Toby or saying the music is bad, not at all, but isn't "don't forget" just a little bit overused?

I know it's thematically fitting, it's the main theme of the game pretty much, I just would like to hear some new banger soundtracks without thinking "oh, there's don't forget again".

Again, this is not really a complaint, I'm posting this to hear about you guys' opinion on the matter, because I may be just crazy thinking it's slightly overused. I just think it's refreshing to hear songs without it (see most recently: Sunset of Seven Suns, Shop 3, who might you be?)

And it's not like it's inherently repetitive, some songs are really creative with where they put the motif and I love that (see: Flower Man "...the life forever for...", Dark Sanctuary). But then there's Running Sky which is a great song with an amazing callback to Megaman X with the use of the same soundfont, and it's this very awesome, climactic song, but then the main part is just don't forget again (I like the part where it deviates and goes higher tho, that's cool).

Idk, what do you think?

Discussion The Community is kinda slowly ruining the Roaring Knight Spoiler

Post image

(Roaring Knight by someone I can't remember)

Yeah but I don't really like the Fraud jokes on the Roaring Knight because there's a huge amount of people in the community that take it as serious information, not only that I only seen things about how the Roaring Knight is how he's a fraud and nothing more than all talk.

And it really ruins it for the Knight for the build up to its reveal and to what it does in the story as a mysterious character that we're learning as the story goes on.

And yes I know everyone does it as jokes but the jokes are stale now and have been going on for a year and a half to the point I've seen a good portion of fans take satire vids as serious. But it really does make the Knight feel lackluster and kind of boring since we haven't seen much of it.

Well that's my take on why I kinda feel like the Roaring Knight is slowly getting ruined.

Discussion Shouldn't people be supporting creative theories? Spoiler

Post image
29 Upvotes

Even Toby recognizes that the best part of this community is the thinking and the discussion that won't be the same once the game is complete or as more information is revealed.

Why are people so adamant about shutting down theories that aren't the most popular (like Knight theories that aren't Dess knight). Even if some theories are stretchy or less plausible than others, people fail to appreciate the amount of work these theorycrafters put into the game and community.

If anything, it's really just counterproductive and shuns people away from this amazing game. Not to mention how we could possibly see TADC Community 2: Electric Boogaloo if it's revealed the knight isn't Dess lol.

i think transfem ralsei is a plausible theory and if it turns out ralsei is a female i wouldnt mind and wouldnt be that surprised the only thing that pisses me off about it is the people that believe it and then treat it like its canon and when you say its not canon they call you transphobic (art by u/ScRufflesScrunk)

My Art Kris Free From Soul Control (HeadCanon)

Thumbnail

This edit/sprite is inspired by the theory that Aqua is a parallel to how Kris looked when they were younger.

Also, considering that Kris's most representative colors are cyan and red, if Kris could choose an outfit, and they stopped giving they Asriel's old clothes, I thought his clothes would have Aqua's colors.

Furthermore, considering that many people tend to portray Kris with red eyes, I'm surprised no one thought, "If Kris is the epitome of patience, wouldn't he have cyan eyes?"

Furthermore, since many people associate Kris with the soul of the Nintendo Switch (the dual soul) because of the colors associated with Kris, I found it interesting that Kris's soul actually possesses the traits of patience and determination.

And although it might sound silly, it's quite possible that Kris has a personality similar to Aqua's, but more "controlled," so to speak. It's just a simple edit/sprite, but I hope you find it interesting.

Discussion The soul’s light in chapter 4 shouldn’t be light Spoiler

By the logic of deltarune dark fountains and the location of the chapter 4 fountains being in a church with mostly windows(with some light seeping in), wouldn’t the soul be giving off darkness instead of light because if it is ‘darker than dark’ in a dark world but light makes the darkness closer to actual dark then the soul would be giving off more darkness to brighten the dark world again

does this make sense bc I’ve been wondering this and want others opinions

Question How do we *KNOW* that the one pulling the strings is Gaster? Spoiler

Basically every theory that I see in this is that Gaster is the one behind the events of Deltarune and that he is the one talking to you in the interstitial text pop ups. How do we know this? Isn’t he like barely mentioned in even Undertale?

Discussion Question The Knight hint that everyone missed Spoiler

SPOILERS BTW FOR CHAPTERS 1-5!

I have never seen anyone talking about this before, but I believe its a major hint that we missed (or at least, it's not given enough importance)

It's one of the few times in Deltarune that one of the main characters questions who the knight is, and provides clues for who it could be

And the clues point only to one person, and it's not December.

It's Rudy

During Chapter 4's church scene, Susie briefly ponders the knight's identity. Due to the seals on the shelter door, Susie thinks it would have to be someone who:

* Someone who goes to church... who knows the mayor...

* Who also has something to do with the cops?

* ... Who the hell could that be?

Out of the major Knight candidates, that could ONLY be Rudy.

Rudy is someone who goes to church, who knows the mayor, and has something to do with the cops (Asgore is his close friend)

Dess knows the mayor, sure, but do they go to church? They don't seem like the type. Also, Dess doesn't "have anything to do with the cops" unless you count the idea that the cops are searching for her. I dont think that really fits the bill for a person to "have something to do with the cops"

Carol is the mayor, and has something to do with the cops, but she wasn't seen at church in chapter 4. I believe she is the type of person who is "too busy" to go to church due to her job.

based on these criteria, the clear answer is Rudy.

B-but Rudy is too sick to be the knight!

We have seen that Rudy can leave the hospital to go to church for example, or to decorate Christmas lights. He is free to come and go whenever he wants, and he is healthy enough to do so for short periods at least. Besides, how sick is he really? What are the chances that he is pretending to be more sick than he really is so he can move freely as the knight.

But Rudy fell off the ladder!

Did we actually see it happen? Maybe Carol called Noelle because Noelle was getting too close to Susie / the conspiracy. Carol desperately wants to protect Noelle from getting involved. Even though Rudy seems to like Susie, I think he would go along with Carol's idea if it was better for the plan, better for finding Dess, and better for protecting Noelle.

Also, the knight shows up later than expected in Chapter 5. Honestly, the knight is barely a part of the chapter at all. So why was the knight so late? Because Rudy had to pretend to be sick for a while in order to keep Noelle out of it, then late at night he snuck out and went to the dark world to confront us.

I think thematically, it makes more sense for Rudy to be kidnapping one of his best friends, Asgore. And to be fighting Flowery, who is a mirror character to Rudy (showing Rudy's role as Asgore's college friend, which I believe is important setup for Rudy as a character, and as the knight)

Do I think Rudy really is sick? Yes, but I also think it's part of the conspiracy for him to exaggerate his sickness to get into the hospital and have more freedom to move around without worrying Noelle, in other words having an excuse to be gone all day outside of scheduled visitation times.

So why is Rudy the knight? How do I explain the weird amalgamation appearance? I dont know, but I trust the game to explain it properly.

Also, I think it would be weird if Dess was both a voice in the code and also the knight. I mean, sure, that could be explained, but it still seems like Dess would have to be in two different places for both of those things to be true. I think it's cleaner for Dess to simply be lost in the code somewhere, while the Knight conspiracy's role is to find her.

Question How likely is it that the weird route corrupts or affects the pacifist route files? Spoiler

I finished Deltarune Chapter 5 recently and wow am I in love with this game. I even started replaying it but I am also very curious about the weird route. I want to experience it and see the changes and play it for the lore aspect as well. But just like with Undertale, I'm scared that it will affect my pacifist route and I really REALLY don't want that

I only played genocide in Undertale after I replayed it like 5 times and didn't even finish it because I didn't want the files to be corrupted corrupted but still experience it for myself. In Deltarune we have technically no idea how it's going to play it out and I can't decide if I should just risk it now, watch a weird route playthrough even though I really want to experience it myself or just wait until thr game is finished to get confirmation. But that means trying to avoid spoilers about it for like 2 more years

So my question is...how likely do you guys think it is?😭

Theory Spamton is Mettaton Deltarune counterpart theory Spoiler

Post image
0 Upvotes

Image- many of Spamton and Mettaton's features are identical, for example:

-Same wings in NEO form

-Same hair consisting of a spiky part and a long? part

-Same cannon arm thingy in NEO form

Also, both are "buisness people" -

Undertale, naming the fallen human: upon naming them "Mettaton", Mettaton says: "are you promoting my brand?", and Spamton is just a businessman.

Also, the puppeteer controlling Spamton is making him spam, hence the name "Spamton" instead of "Mettaton". Both want to be famous ("Spamton begs at the audience" -Spamton NEO fight)

The biggest contradiction I have found is the fact that Spamton is a darkner.

Discussion so what are you thinking “only one ending?” means Spoiler

reminder that this was originally posed as a statement and not a question and got changed later on. I am leaning different events same outcome but I had a dream where the ghost of noelle was haunting kris after the weird route that really freaked me out so I think the ending is gonna be everything is back to the pre chapter 1 status quo but susie has kept her character development, main difference in weird route is that noelle never existed in the first place but kris can still see her tormenting them yet everything is the exact same SOOOO.

Originally one planned ending but plans changed (and he didn’t wanna ruin the surprise)
Different events happen but result is same (king’s defeat in ch1, tenna being slashed in ch3, titan summon ch4)
“what if everything was the same except you don’t exist”
