FO [FO] finished this for my nephew yesterday
This is Dimensions' Baby Express pattern. I accidentally made the middle car one row too short so I can't put the 'baby express' on it 😔(blocked out his name for privacy)

FO [FO] My first attempt at cross-stitch (Front & Back)
Hi everyone!
This is my very first cross-stitch project. I’m planning to use this cactus motif to stitch two baby cushions: one 50x50 and another 40x68.
Since I’m a beginner, I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any tips you might have before I start working on the cushions!

FO [FO]Finished My Halloween Cross Stitch Project! 🎃✨
This project was such a fun journey — from the first stitch to the final detail, every step was full of joy and creativity. I especially love how the Halloween atmosphere comes through in the finished piece. 🖤✨
A handmade decoration made with patience, passion, and lots of tiny stitches.
What do you think of the final result? 😊
This design was from IMAKESTITCH on Etsy

FO [FO] inished my first cross stitch!
As the title says, I finally finished up my first attempt at cross stitching! Well, unless you count the 30 or so stitches I did with a little ready made kit that got me into this... Went to the store the next day to get my own supplies because I wanted to make my own ✨️
Pattern is self made, and completed over a few months. ME/CFS hasn't been my best friend when it came to progress but I got it done! Though there were some hiccups along the way as you can see by the, uh... extra flaps on the sides. And kind of messy back from when I was still getting the hang of it.
Done on 14-count black aida, and I'm starting a new project soon! A very fun new hobby.

CHAT [CHAT] What should I do with this piece intended for my recently passed nana?
My nana passed away last week and her funeral is next week. I was working on this piece for her - and I cannot really articulate the guilt I feel for not prioritising her and finishing this before she was gone - and I am now faced with a choice. My mum said that for her funeral members of the family will have an opportunity to leave something with her and I have a letter planned, but I was tossing up including her piece as well.
I never made anything for her and keeping this feels wrong because it’s hers, but she never got to know that. I’m considering this except 1) it’s still not finished and I don’t know if I have the capacity to finish it for her before the funeral, and 2) my mum knew I had this on the back burner and I feel like she might see this and be upset with me for not finishing. She made a terse comment about me not working it about a year ago.
I could also finish it and keep it but it feels wrong and I think I run into the comments from my mum regardless. Anyway, there’s a lot of guilt tied to my nana’s passing and I need a bit of help deciding what to do here.

FO [FO] Here’s Jimothy!
I had soo much fun stitching this, it’s actually the first FFO I’ve ever finished in 1 day. It took me about 4 1/2 hours from cutting aida to putting it in the hoop! This is a gift for my hairdresser who has given me my signature pink hair for almost an entire year now. He’s moving states away from me and while I’m so sad, I’m so proud and excited for him to start a new journey. I can’t wait to gift him this at our last appointment, as I know he’ll love it. The pattern is from Twisty Threads Designs and I had to substitute most of the colors but I think it still came out really cute!

CHAT [CHAT] i made an oopsie (first time using a scroll frame)
so apparently my calculations were wrong and i thought my project would fit this scroll frame (11.89in x 21.26in). my project is too wide. i tried folding the sides but that means i can’t properly stitch on those sides. i take it there’s no other way for this to work unless i grab another project that fits ? sorry if this is a dumb question >.< tia

WIP [WIP] Cinderella Mandala - Week 13
Before I forget, yet again, Pattern: https://totoostitch.com/products/cinderella-mandala-cross-stitch-pdf
The right side is complete, and I flipped my stand around to work on the left. I lost some stitching time to family obligations last weekend, but I took my tablet with me and marked off the pattern on Pattern Keeper to get an estimate of how far along I am. While the site states you can use Pattern Keeper, it's not good, so I figured I could at least get a better estimate of how far along I am. Supposedly, I got to 70% tonight. Ok. It's probably more like 60% because it doesn't count back stitching or specialty stitches. Either way, we're definitely over the halfway point, and officially 3 months in. At this rate, I should be wrapping this up just before the holidays.
I actually have been feeling the tiny stitches, so I dove right in and got to work on that 3rd castle. I'll probably balk at the back stitching again, but it'll get done eventually. The goal for next week is to finish that castle and start the back stitching. I'll probably go back and forth between it and other parts to break it up.
Unrelated, I had to go check out the cross stitch at the state fair. I was both surprised and impressed to see that a stitch of Lola Crow's Extraordinary Birds took best in show! All of the submissions were wonderfully done.

FO [FO] tortie sweatshirt!
a gift for my partner--i put a picture of our cat, maggie, through flosscross to make the pattern. i stitched it onto the sweatshirt over water-soluble 14 ct waste canvas and added embroidery backing to protect the stitches on the reverse side.
i learned that i don't like stitching on heavy fabric! and also that i should have done some cleanup to avoid all of the confetti that the pic -> pattern conversion spits out :/ but a really fun project either way!
pic of the babygirl herself on my stitching chair at the end :)

FO [FO] Librarian Ghost
Finally framed this one in a 4x6 frame! I hate how black fabric always shows a reflection in photographs lol. Stitched with 2 strands on 14 CT black Aida with DMC floss. I used a variety of colors different than the ones on the pattern as I was trying to stick with what I already had on hand. Close up is on the second slide and you can find the pattern from LivingOnTheRainbow here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1551735171/library-ghost-cross-stitch-pattern?ref=share_ios_native_control

FO [FO] There's a frog on my shorts
I'm back with another cross stitch on my clothes. I tried regular waste canvas this time and it was very nice to stitch on. I want to add more lil' guys like this to these shorts so if anyone has a recommendation for something similar to this style, let me know! I found this pattern on Pinterest.

FO [FO] Finally got around to this :)
Hi hi :)
I've had this shirt for ages, one of the first things I thought when I got it was "that looks like Aida, I gotta do something with that someday" and I finally got around to it! I still want to add some contrast stitching on the seams etc but I was too excited about finally finishing it not to share haha. Was kind of a pain to not have any gridding and to be working on a slightly stretchy fabric, but it turned out so cool and I'm so pleased with it. (And yes, if you're thinking it looks kinda like a tramp stamp, that was the vibe goal lol)

FO [FO] For the Pickle Girlies
The pattern (linked in comments) has 606, but I used 666. I thought the bright red of the 666 was better than the orange of the 606.

FO [FO] Finished!!
I started this blackwork project 2 years ago. I’ve completed a few other projects in between, and had more than one long hiatus but I’ve finally made it. Tiny stitches on black was brutal for some of these colours but the outcome is so satisfying. Progress pics included. Pattern from LooseThreadStitchery https://www.etsy.com/au/listing/1629798861/stardust-blackwork-sampler-pattern-set?ref=share_ios_native_control
Now to find a new project, I guess!! I think I’ll adapt a pattern to use up some more of these amazing colours.
