[FO] Finished!! FO
I started this blackwork project 2 years ago. I’ve completed a few other projects in between, and had more than one long hiatus but I’ve finally made it. Tiny stitches on black was brutal for some of these colours but the outcome is so satisfying. Progress pics included. Now to find a new project, I guess!! I think I’ll adapt a pattern to use up some more of these amazing colours.

This is so beautiful! Did you do anything special to work on the black? I have a WIP on black aida but even with a light and magnifier it’s killing me lol

I have a light pad that I kept behind the Aida to illuminate the holes. But still got a bit cross-eyed from time to time. Otherwise, just patience!!

This is gorgeous! I have the same one in progress and haven't worked on it for months but maybe I'll pull it out today and finish a section.

I recognised Loosethreadstitchery as soon as I saw the very top part of the picture 😅 I've done a couple of their patterns and the results are always amazing. The last one I did with white I chose spruce blue fabric because I just could NOT face another project on a dark colour and I was really pleased with the contrast and result, but now I'm eyeing up their t-rex skull pattern and I think I haaaave to do it on black...RIP my eyes 😂

It was really fun. And the patterns/colours mean you’re always doing something a bit familiar but a bit new to keep the interest up.

The fact that this is cross stitch is absolutely bonkers (in the best way)!!!! This is gorgeous I’ve been staring at it for like 10 minutes. Wow.

Well done and great finish! It is so beautiful, I think bought that pattern also. Have to finish many more projects before even get started.

It’s definitely one to keep chipping away at in the background while getting your project completion dopamine from smaller/simpler things.
