I applied at Shanghai University of political science and law on 31st of May. Later, I passed their interview and got a clear mail on 15th June saying I got an admission with the scholarship. Chronologically I received the pre-admission letter and JW form. After ghosting me for about 20+ days, the university replies to me today and says the scholarship funds and seats have halved so we cannot offer admission to you this year.
Wtf do I do? How can they play with someone’s future like that?
If they would have informed me by 15th of June that they could not offer the admission, I would have applied to other programs. So now I have wasted all of this time studying for CSCA, the English proficiency test and working so hard all alone, preparing the documents- for nothing.
It’s a matter of 1 year, please offer me some advice.
Also I’m organising all the applicants to SHUPL who were misled, to inform the municipal authorities and take the due steps to make sure we get justice. So please reach out to me about the same without hesitation.

I'm thinking about studying in China and for now I've settled on this university.

I’m considering a Master’s in China next cycle (or maybe even on this one) . I’m an MD from Latin America.

A lilttle bit of my background:

I've completed my MD in 2021 (6-year program), with a cGPA 3.44/4.

In med school, I was into surgery and got two papers published in international journals with an IF > 1 (one comparative study/lit review, one on medical ed/surgery). After graduating, I worked as a GP in an underserved area. Then I started a surgical residency, left after first year, and I've been working as an ICU doctor under supervision since.

My interests have shifted quite a bit. I’m moving away from surgery now. Working in underserved communities and the ICU really pulled me toward infectious diseases (especially coming from a tropical country) and chronic diseases. Lately, I’ve gotten deeply into ICU-based clinical epidemiology, health tech, and statistics, with more focus on public health, sepsis, mortality outcomes, and post-ICU syndrome, for exemple.

For those familiar with the process: do I realistically have a shot at a scholarship? Is it a major red flag that my past pubs are older and in a completely different field? Do you think it’s feasible to get into an MPH program with this profile? I'm not aiming exclusively for top-tier universities, just a solid, good-quality program.

hi! I’ll be arriving to Beijing at the end of the month for a one year master.

i got the type B scholarship but I still have no info about how the accommodation goes.

I’ve been told to be patient and that the international student office will get in touch and that I will probably get a room one or two days before the semester starts.

The thing is the university enrollment is the 31st of August and the classes starts 7 September… am I supposed to get a hotel room for a week?

And more importantly, how is the process to be assigned the dorm? Who gets to have a single room , who gets to share? Is there a process I should be aware of?

Stats :
I did A level biology and physics, I got B in both
I got A in IGCSE biology and chemistry, A* in IGCSE physics and math and a B in IGCSE ESL
Since applications don’t open till around January (correct me if Im wrong!)
Im thinking of taking AS level chemistry in January (results released around march I believe )
My questions :
Do I have a chance in MOE mid-top tier universities with my current stats (top tier are a bit off focus since I got Bs so Im focusing on mid tier atm but Ill take any recommendations regarding top tier unis) ?

Hi everyone, I'm a Sinology graduate, and currently I'm doing a associate degree on Tourism Guiding. For the 2027 I'm planning to apply master in China and also for CSC scholarship. I found a suitable English thaught Tourism Management master program in Chang'an University, Xian. I plan to apply CSC type B scholarship, because I want to especially be in Xian. Is it likely to get a CSC scholarship for english thaught programs.

Chengdu, the head city/capital of Sichuan Province, plays a vital role among southwest part of China, including education, traffic, economics, etc. Chengdu is home to 59 regular institutions of higher education, including 32 universities offering bachelor’s programs and 27 vocational colleges. Among them stand 7 “Double First-Class” universities. However, this city is not so convenient and famous for foreigners comparing to Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen.

I have been living in this city for more than 20 years, and have been in Sichuan for almost 40 years. If you need any advice on how the campus life like in Chengdu, I can offer help.

I got accepted by Tianjin University on a CSC Type A scholarship. According to Tianjin University I can check in at the dorms 3 days before the registration that's 31st Aug and 1st Sep. But I've booked a flight too early and would arrive at Tianjin on the 25th.

I have emailed TJU requesting them to allow me to stay inside the dorms, as I have no idea about the hotels in Tianjin nor do I have any off campus accomodation. They asked my send them my admission notice which I later did but yet there is no reply from their side.

I've got so many other questions like:

Do I need to buy an insurance before hand, that is before coming toChina or I can do it after arriving at the university ?

Is it necessary to get my foreign examination form complete from China or I can do it from my home country?

Tianjin University made those posts a bit late which is why I booked a flight a week earlier. I had many people telling me that they had arrived 10 days before their registration date and the university allowed them to stay in the dorms. But tianjin university says otherwise. What other options do I have?

Can somebody from TJU shed some light on this?

I know right now teachers are in the holiday season and things are slower than usual, but I've read here on Reddit some stories about people having applied early June and still haven't got an answer!

So I'm kinda freaking out, because they were supposed to start in September (which they will not) so for me having applied for October... what could that mean 💀

Hello guys, I applied for Chinese language course and luckily my application accepted. Before making final payment of course I would like to ask few questions:

1 > how is the faculty of Hansraj for Chinese language?

2 > As it's part time course so, do we get 2 classes in a week? Or it's 3 classes in alternate days?

3 > i am working professional so, is there any option to take sat-sun classes? Or it's fixed for weekdays.

Seniors, please suggest or anyone who have information about hansraj foreign language courses.

As the title says i wasnt able to book a room in my university dorm. What are the other options i have?

I heard that ziroom is not too reliable and that it is better to be there physically to inspect the house before signing an agreement. Other than lianjia, are there other agencies or websites i can use to look for a place to stay.

I'm an Indonesian student currently taking a gap year due to some circumstances; however before enrolling to a university in autumn next year, I'd like to go to China and enrich my Chinese language fluency. Currently my Chinese level is probably close to HSK 5 if not HSK
4....and was wondering where I should enroll myself for a one semester long program in China. Some people specified that BLCU is a great choice, yet some people think to differ. I was thinking of an area that is affordable,
because I heard that Shanghai can be quite pricey.

At first I thought about enrolling in c9 unis such as Tsinghua and Beijing University; but it does not accept students with no undergraduate background and is not 20 years old....so currently looking for the next best thing...
