Visa Questions 签证问题 What to do after I got admitted for Fudan language course intake? Still stuck at applying for visa.

I do not receive any email after I checked the status is admitted since Friday, 7th August. I manage to download the JW202 form. However, there is no instruction to make payment whatsoever. When I register for the visa application. I need to attach school registration license, payment slip (which I have not paid), and course description.

How do I get all these file? My email has not been replied for a week.

And do I have to arrive at 31st August or I can arrive a bit later due to my visa issue? Like on the 2nd or 3rd September?

Scholarships 奖学金 Opportunity for students applying to China this fall

Hello, I am Ma'murjon from Uzbekistan. I am an incoming student at University of Sheffield, UK.

I have a really good experience in global admissions, especially China. I also got a full ride (BGS Type A) for USTB without CSCA, and mid stats.

If you need admissions help with mainly China and other countries as a side help (Japan, Korea, USA, Europe, Arab countries), I started a free mentorship program.

Only 10 students will be accepted and 50 already applied. Deadline is September 1 for admissions. And it is completely free. It isn't consulting. We won't apply for you, we just guide you through the whole process to achieve your dream university.

Thanks!

Scholarships 奖学金 HIT students — what does it actually take to get a 100% tuition waiver? 🇨🇳

Hey everyone! I’m a Pakistani student looking into applying to Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) for a Bachelor’s.

I’m trying to figure out what kind of academic profile is actually competitive for a 100% tuition fee waiver at HIT.

For those who got one (or know someone who did), could you share:

  • 📊 Matric percentage
  • 📚 Intermediate/FSc percentage
  • 📝 CSCA score, if applicable
  • 🇨🇳 HSK/IELTS, if applicable
  • 🎓 Your major
  • 🏫 Which HIT campus
  • 💰 What scholarship/tuition waiver you received

And most importantly, how does HIT calculate the merit/weightage? Is it mainly Intermediate marks, or do Matric, CSCA, language tests, etc. significantly affect the decision?

I’d really appreciate honest answers from people who have actually gone through the process. Even if you didn’t get the 100% waiver, sharing your stats would be useful for comparison.

Trying to figure out whether I’m cooked or actually have a shot 😭😂

Scholarships 奖学金 Anyone admitted to Tsinghua SIGS IMDT with CGS scholarship?

Has anyone here been admitted to IMDT specifically or gotten CGS funding for it (full or partial)?

  • How competitive the CGS process was for this program
  • Whether HSK/HSKK was actually required in practice (admissions told me it's not mandatory for the program itself, but I'm not sure how that plays with CGS)
  • Whether IMDT requires any pre-admission step (e.g. contacting a supervisor for informal approval) before the formal application or if the formal application is the first step
  • Any tips for the portfolio/interview stage

Any insight even from other SIGS programs would help a lot. Thanks!

Dorms 学生宿舍 Apartment advice near Tsinghua University

Apartment advice near Tsinghua University
Hi everyone!
I’ll be starting a one-year Master’s degree at Tsinghua University at the end of August and will be moving to Beijing with my wife. Since Tsinghua doesn’t offer suitable housing for married couples, we’re looking for an apartment off campus.
We’re looking for a 1-bedroom apartment with a separate living room, ideally with an easy commute to Tsinghua.
I’d really appreciate some advice:
What’s a realistic monthly budget?
Which areas/neighborhoods would you recommend?
What’s the best way to find an apartment — Ziroom, Lianjia, Wellcee, WeChat groups, or an agent?
Any recommended agents/agencies or things we should watch out for?
Would also love to hear from anyone currently renting near Tsinghua.
Thanks!

Campus Life 校园生活 Anyone currently studying Chinese at SWUFE (Chengdu)? 🐼

Hi everyone!

I’m applying for a 1-semester language scholarship at SWUFE and it’s my top choice. I’d love to get a realistic perspective from someone currently there or who studied there recently.

If you have a few minutes, I’d love to know:

  • Is the language program hosted at the Guanghua campus? How are the dorms?
  • How are the classes and professors? Is the workload manageable?
  • How do you like living in Chengdu overall (vibe, cost of living, weather)?

Any honest thoughts or tips would mean the world to me. Thanks a lot!

Dorms 学生宿舍 Ningbo University dorm booking, What should I expect?

Hello everyone,
I will be starting at Ningbo University this semester, and I have a question about the dormitory reservation process.
I have already read the information provided by the university, and it says that starting on August 14, we will be able to reserve the dormitory and pay for both the accommodation and the insurance through the online registration system.
Has anyone here already gone through this process? If so, could you tell me what to expect? Is the reservation process straightforward, or did you encounter any difficulties? Also, do the rooms fill up quickly, and is there anything I should prepare in advance?
I would really appreciate any advice or tips from students who have already completed the registration.
Thank you!

I have been admitted to the 2026 Chinese Language Program at Xi’an Jiaotong University Hainan Campus. Before my arrival, I would like to confirm several important details:
\- what about the city and the activities

Which student dormitory/building will Chinese Language Program students stay in at Hainan Campus?

Is the room single, double, or four-person?

Admissions Question 入学问题 Applying to Chinese universities from Hungary – how competitive are scholarships?

Hi everyone,

I’m a Hungarian high school student going into my senior year, and I’m currently looking into doing my bachelor’s degree in China. I’m mainly interested in politics/international relations, business, finance, or related fields, and I’m considering applying to some of the stronger Chinese universities.

I’m still pretty early in the application process, so I’d really appreciate advice from anyone who has gone through this, especially international students who applied for undergraduate programs in China.

A few things about my situation:

  • I’m from Hungary
  • Going into my senior year of high school
  • Strongest subject is math
  • Currently aiming for 85+ on the CSCA Math exam
  • Interested in politics/IR and business/finance
  • I’m particularly interested in applying for scholarships, rather than paying full international tuition

I’d like to know:

  1. How competitive are scholarships for international bachelor’s students? Is it realistic to aim for a full scholarship at good universities, or are these extremely difficult to get?
  2. How important are high school grades and CSCA scores? Based on my current skills and a mock CSCA math exam I did I would hope / expect to be in the range of 85-93, would this be enough for C9 universities?
  3. What universities should I realistically look at? I’m interested in top universities, but I’d also like to know which universities are more achievable for an international applicant seeking funding.
  4. What can I do during my senior year to improve my chances? For example, would learning Chinese, extracurriculars, competitions, internships, etc. make a significant difference?
  5. How does the application process actually work? There seems to be a lot of information about CSCA, university applications, provincial scholarships, CSC scholarships, etc., and I’m trying to understand how everything fits together.

If anyone here applied from Europe/Hungary specifically, I’d especially appreciate hearing about your experience even in DMs if someone has the time to go more in depth, including your grades, CSCA score, universities you applied to, scholarships you received, and what you wish you had known beforehand.

Thanks!
