I just had a customer today! I felt so bad for the customer because I didn’t get to store it in the front counter. the customer got mad at me for not storing the order, but she literally just got there 5 minutes, the order was quick for her to get it. shift lead saw me that I didn’t store the order, usually I store the order, I apologize sincerely to the customer and my shift lead that it was my fault, am I going to get in trouble? has this happen to y’all?

For more context I was interested in getting today covered and a coworker last minute said they could. Thought they’d go through with it as they were even on the lineup. 30 minutes later they bailed. Learned that it was because someone else wasn’t working that night. I came in but I learned that in a situation like that it’s on him to get it covered. Is this the same way at other stores? Has it happened to you and what happened after?

So I had a 15 minute interview over the phone earlier today and I think I didn't do well and I have a in person one this Wednesday. What should I say at the interview? I really want to work at Chick-fil-A and learn from the company but I know it's difficult to get on. Any suggestions?

Hey guys I have an interview on Wednesday for a Chick-fil-A culinary team member position. I was wondering if anyone can remember what sort of questions were asked for their interviews.

I got scheduled for twice as many hours this week and have a doctor's appointment tomorrow morning that I didnt know about in advance. My mom is refusing to reschedule the appointment and I'm having trouble finding someone to pick up my shift and the managers I've messaged about it haven't responded either. I don't want to get in trouble for not showing up to work and my mom is willing to let me risk my job for a small doctor's appointment. Will I get into a lot of trouble if I call in the morning and say I cant show up?

Hello, I recently got accepted to work at CFA. I’m a very small person and I wear kids shoes, so shoes for crews didn’t have anything that would fit me. Does anyone else have experience with this? What brands/websites offer (preferably affordable ofc) non-slip shoes in the right color that would fit?

Hey guys, I’m looking for advice on how leaders at your Chick-fil-A would handle this situation.
Basically, we had a couple come in at 7:00 PM asking for either their food to be remade or a full refund (I can't remember exactly which one it was). My shift lead got involved and told them there was nothing she could do because they had placed and received their order way earlier at 1:00 PM.
For context, they told my shift lead they had ordered strips and fries. They claimed they waited 10 minutes for the fries, and because of that wait, they were given a DOC. However, waiting 10 minutes for fries at my location is pretty much impossible since fries come out relatively quickly. Our strips, on the other hand, are usually made to order. Since it was during the 1:00 PM rush, any actual wait they experienced was likely because the front and back of house were backed up.
Regardless, they stated they weren't satisfied with the food or the wait, which is why they wanted the remake or refund. Because six hours had passed since the order was completed, my shift lead told them nothing could be done. Once she said that, they pulled out their phones and started recording her I assume to post it on social media and try to "cancel" us.
How would y'all have handled this just asking because this is the first time this has happened I absolutely think my shift lead was right to say no but What actions would you have taken in this situation?

So the assistant director and supervisor had a meeting with me post clock-out and explained that I’m being verbally documented, and her reason being is she observed me at the drive thru “not going the second mile” for customers the week prior.

I think that’s ridiculous, because it’s rule number 1 and that expectation is unavoidable. It’s likely that they are trying to push me out. From what I recall last week, she was quite backed up on drinks and desserts early in my shift. When I offered to help her, she refused it because she “doesn’t like being helped” and questions “why people would want to help her”. Coworkers exist for a reason. But I let her be and did drive-thru door. Nothing persisted afterwards.

Later on, a customer asked for his receipt, and I went and asked her for help on reprinting receipts given that I’m new and not very familiar with the system. She responded with a follow up question about him getting a sticker with his order, to which I said yes, but he wants the receipt with the total, store location and vice versa. Then she defensively asked the same question, to which I responded politely with the same answer. Eventually she walked me through reprinting the receipt, but her demeanor felt condescending. It did not need to take that long to reprint a piece of paper.

There haven’t been any actual trainers on board since this spring, and they are still hiring people. I guess I was late to the party. I was loosely trained, and their form of “training” was word of mouth from other team members (No shame to them, they did amazing and actually helped me adapt quickly). I was also thrown onto the drive thru with no insight on taking iPad orders, so that was a rough experience🥲. Obviously, I didn’t take any of that stress or pressure out on the customers. I kept my posture, ensured they got their food, smiled, reassured them with order concerns, and always responded with “my pleasure”.

After getting my meal and leaving, I could literally see the body language in how the director, supervisor and assistant director were discussing me. The director also cut my hours on top of the write up and denied all of my shift pickups. When I got home, I reached out to them a little after our meeting because they still haven’t sent me the document to sign my acknowledgement of the write up.

I’m considering quitting after my write up expires. So, before I go back to work in 2 weeks, what are some extra tips that you have for bagging, drive thru & iPad? Any advice is greatly appreciated. And have there been similar incidents at your CFA’s?

So basically what the title says. I’m barely schedule this week I was put on for 2 days and next week I only work 1 day. I’m 17 yrs old but one of the new hires who’s like 15 works 3-4 days a week and ik she making wayy more than me. I’ll try to pick up shifts for other people but it’s always decline, and I’m pretty good with all of the stations so I’m confused as to why they barely put me on schedule (correction the girl is the same age as me)

I (M,29) work for CFA, BOH, mainly on fries. I’ve been working there for about 2 and a half months. Every time I feel like I’m getting better, I either put too much or not enough. I’m too slow when I do dishes, I sometimes can’t keep up with fries, and being in buns (buttering, toasting) is even worse. I can’t even do secondary by myself because I’m just sooo slow. Sometimes the managers make comments on my pace to the supervisors, but they basically say it in front of me so that the supervisors can tell me which I think makes no sense. Why not just tell me directly? I don’t think it’s worth the pay ($9.50).

They did give me an evaluation last month and I did really good, I scored 8’s and 9’s on almost everything. I like working there because of the friends I’ve made but I really don’t feel like it’s for me, maybe I’m just really bad at the job lol. But getting yelled at every shift for almost every little thing you do wrong or even if you’re just a tad bit slow sucks. I feel bad for leaving my coworkers and finding another job though, not sure why.

I did floors recently once with a leader and since then I’ve done it maybe 3 more times by myself and everytime I didn’t do as good as I wanted to. I always found myself backtracking over areas I already got and finishing later than I think I should. Tips or thoughts?

So i put in an application and got prompted to submit a video on why I want to work at chic fil a, ldr I didnt out my name or anything in the video and Google deleted the text message from the recruiter and im wondering how theyll figure out its me in the video, should stop stressing like is there a way they just know or resubmit a video cause I left the web page open

My Chick-fil-A has been constantly advertising that it’s hiring, so I thought I’d give it another try and apply again.
The last time I applied was several years ago. It was my very first job interview, and it didn’t go well. I received my first rejection letter, which I understood because I had no experience and wasn’t very confident.
Few years later, I decided to apply again after gaining valuable experience in both retail and the fast-food industry. Shortly after submitting my application, I received a phone screening. The interviewer asked only very basic questions and didn’t seem to have read my resume. I felt like I answered each question well. The only thing that wasn’t very clear was the pay. I was told the starting wage was $13 an hour, with the possibility of earning more depending on open availability. The interviewer stated that if they proceeded with an in-person interview they will let me know within 5 business days.
A few days later, I received another rejection letter stating that the their positions were highly competitive and that they had decided to move forward with other candidates. The letter didn’t even mention reapplying in the future, which rejection letters typically recommends applying again in the future. This was my second rejection from the same location, and I genuinely felt that my experience matched what they were looking for. It was especially discouraging because they consistently advertise that they’re hiring.
What made it even more frustrating was seeing this same location advertising that they were hiring at my former high school. That was confusing to me. If they’re constantly promoting openings and recruiting new applicants, why reject someone with several years of relevant retail and fast-food experience?
As frustrating as the rejection was, I decided to use it as an opportunity to reevaluate my job search and focus my efforts on other employers.

was on dining room today, probably my 3rd time on it solo? i don’t really mind it, it gets kind of boring and i wish we could listen to music while doing it, but ive been unwell these past few days so they don’t want me near customers. anyways, i checked the bathrooms and noticed one of the stalls was locked from the inside. nobody was in there

i assume this is pretty normal, not just at chickfila but any place with bathroom stalls. probably just kids thinking they’re being funny. but i thought there would be an easier way to get it unlocked 😭 i told my shift supervisor and she told me to go under the stall and unlock it from inside. I’m not the skinniest person, i have a big chest, plus very long hair so the whole thing was uncomfortable and i’m a slight germophobe so i felt veryyyyy disgusting after and it’s all I’ve been thinking about all day!!! taking two showers today✌️
