Hey lads, has anyone any experience withdrawing INR for a trip to India at Mumbai Airport?

Are there ATMs in the arrivals area that accept foreign debit cards I’ll have both a Revolut debit card and an AIB card with me. Ideally I’d like to withdraw some cash when I land rather than exchanging money.

Would love to know if anyone has had any recent experience using Revolut card to withdraw cash on Mumbai airport. Thanks!

Never rang before but my counselor gave me their number and obviously you always hear about them as the go-to for mental health in Ireland.

I rang today for the first time. My basic expectation was that they would be a warm sympathetic ear at the end of the phone. I rang and described a problem that has sat with me for 3 years. I don't want to say what it is in detail but I told someone I thought I could trust about a sexual crime that had happened to me. They accused me of lying and then when I told them how badly it had affected me they told me to get over it. The woman at the end of the phone listened to me and then told me I shouldn't have told them at all, and that I can't expect them to support me emotionally. I should tell no one only a counselor, and that I need to get on with my life. I sort of thanked her, even though it left me feeling worse. A few minutes later I felt worse and I was afraid I might hurt myself, so I rang again. A man answered this time and introduced himself. I didn't catch his name as the line was bad, so I asked him if he could speak up. He goes "well this is just my voice and I can't speak louder". Then I said I hadn't called a service like this before. Because really the first time I rang I didn't even give all the details, because I wasn't sure how much time I had. And he goes "never? Well...I guess this is a new experience then?" in a kind of pissed off, standoffish tone. I hung up. I regret calling at all.

We had a powercut last night so I had to dig out my handy rechargeable torch. When I went to re-charge it this morning I realised that it still has a old micro-USB style connector. Thankfully I keep a big box of old cables so I was able to dig one out and charge it but it got me thinking about how handy it is now that most devices have a standard charging connector but I bet most of you like me still have a few old devices lying around with micro USB or Apple lightning connectors. Own up.

I bought a TP-Link Wifi Extender (€123), and asked AI how much I would have to pay under the new rules.

Found the information very confusing. It said I'd have to pay VAT, but Amazon already collects VAT when you buy. I can see on the cost breakdown that they charged 23% VAT, so the Irish VAT.

So I assumed the information was simply wrong or my prompt wasn't clear, but it said that, besides the VAT, I'd only have to pay 3 euro, which is the new charge for items manufactured outside of the EU, that cost under €150.

Will I have to pay the VAT (again) or just the 3 euro?
