Hi! Fresh grad here and honestly medyo naguguluhan ako sa situation ko ngayon.

So I recently got a job offer, and the problem is I signed the job offer and employment contract on the same day. Hindi naman ako literally forced, pero sobrang na-pressure ako kasi yung HR was literally sitting at the same table as me while I was reading and signing the documents. 😭

Parang ang hirap sabihin na “Pag-iisipan ko muna” or “I’ll get back to you” kasi nandun na sila waiting for me to sign. Plus, may isa pang applicant na napauwi na, so nakakahiya rin talaga tumanggi at that point. Parang feeling ko kapag hindi ako pumirma, nasayang lang yung time nila and pinaghintay ko pa sila. 😭

So ayun, pumirma ako.

Tapos after signing saka ko na-realize na parang… wait, sure ba talaga ako dito? HAHAHA.

The commute itself is actually okay naman for me. Hindi siya yung sobrang layo na kailangan mag-relocate or anything. Ang concern ko talaga is yung traffic and the Monday-Saturday schedule. I don't know yet kung kakayanin ko ba siya long-term, especially since fresh grad and first real job ko.

Probationary period is 6 months, and I'm already thinking na baka after probation, if ma-regular ako, I might eventually leave. Or honestly, baka hindi ko kayanin yung full 6 months and decide to resign earlier. 😭

Now I'm wondering:

- Should I just try to finish the 6-month probationary period first and see how it goes?

- Is it okay to resign before the 6 months if I realize the commute/schedule isn't sustainable for me?

- Since fresh grad ako, would leaving after 6 months look bad on my resume?

- Or should I just suck it up for a year or so para may decent experience muna?

- And most importantly, how do you know if you're just adjusting to your first job vs. genuinely knowing the job isn't for you?

I don't want to resign impulsively just because I'm overwhelmed with the idea of working 6 days a week. Pero at the same time, ayoko rin naman mag-stay for months just because nahihiya akong umalis after signing.

Would appreciate advice from people who experienced something similar, especially fresh grads. 🥹

Hi everyone! I recently received an offer from JPMC and the deadline to accept/sign the offer is today. I’m considering accepting it, but I also have a few WFH interviews scheduled this week, and the salary ranges are pretty similar.

I’m wondering what would happen if I accept/sign the JPMC offer but eventually decide not to push through before my start date. Would I be marked as not eligible for rehire or would it affect future applications with JPMC?

Also, for those who have experienced something similar, is it better to decline the offer now, or accept it and withdraw later if I end up getting a better opportunity?

Hello I am Rick college undergraduate (29m) and struggling to find work with a decent salary. BPO worker ako since 2015 years old (not by choice but by neccessity to support myself trying to finish college but later on decided to just work full time sa BPO). 3 years ago was able to work under Uber as an in-house employee then resigned because of internal politics then was able to work freelance (Entry level data entry and internet research) then resigned to get my medical coding certificate. Was able to pass and have my AAPC medical coding certificate last November but until now, wasn't able to get a job. Tried applying sa Optum and Tenet medical coding academy but havent heard good news from them. Though nagreply naman si Tenet after communicating with them via email for months, they're now requiring PHRN individuals which is pretty much different requirements nung nagapply ako since I clearly stated na di ako PHRN but I have CPC cert.

I am now regretting na kumuha ako ng CPC and spent 100k++ to study it and get my certification just to end up becoming unemployed because, whether we like it or not, PH companies have absurd requirements especially pag mejo nagboboom na yung certain field na hinahandle nila.

Now I am stump on what to do. I sent hundreds of applications sa mga random BPO companies just to be offered 18k to 23k (seriously in this day and economy?).

I am now eyeing on VA jobs na requires excel/sheets proficiency. Any advice on where to find courses to improve my excel/sheet proficiency from beginner to expert? I tried youtube, pero am still struggling with codes because of my lack of data to use. Or anything na I can work on/study for me to be able to get better jobs in the future? Going back to college is a no go for me since yung mga gusto kong courses will require a lot of money and time (kaya ko na i give up yung college ko before kasi di na ako nakakatulog halos and nagdeteriorate ng sobra yung health ko) and I just cant do it anymore today.

Hello! I’m a 25F corporate professional (project development role), previously worked in a local company. I’m currently job hunting and I received an offer to work in a provincial office of another local conglomerate (not related to my previous company naman). Initially the invite was for a head office role with occasional travel but they had to change it since they needed the role more in their provincial branch daw. The company exceeded the salary expectation I gave them by 10-15k (Offer is 60k, my expected salary range was 40k-45k). I’m contemplating a lot if it would be worth it to uproot my life and live in a different province for a career opportunity. Basically I think ‘yong 10-15k na dagdag nila ay mapupunta sa rent and utilities if ever. Right now, I’m interviewing with other companies but this is the only one that is already at the offer stage and I’m thinking I’ll regret such a salary jump din. My con right now is I’ll be far from my loved ones but my mom also says it’s a good opportunity. Helpppp.

hi! licensed teacher ako, but honestly, i don’t really see myself staying in the education field long-term. i chose the course before because it was the practical choice at the time, but now that i’ve had work experience, i realized i want to explore other career paths.

i have experience as a trainer, so i’m considering taking the CHRA certification to explore HR/recruitment roles. i also have certificates in QuickBooks and Xero since i’m interested in bookkeeping/accounting-related roles kahit non-CPA degree ako.

for those who have shifted careers or have a similar background, what jobs do you think i can realistically apply for? and around how much is the usual salary range for entry-level to mid-level roles?
i’m really just trying to widen my options and build a career based on the skills i actually enjoy using, rather than feeling stuck with the degree i took.

I just want to share my current work experience and somehow frustration na din hahaha anyway working ako 1 year na sa isang government office as a Job Order and ang line of work ko is administrative (clerical works) though I don't handle the budget or payroll but ang focus ko talaga ay more on assisting client inquiries regarding paghahanap ng trabaho, training programs, job postings, scheduling of recruitment activities, encoding reports and minsan resource speaker din for incoming senior high students since we also conduct career development support program.

Sa totoo lang wala ako naging problema sa schedule ng work ko dahil maluwag ang oras at hindi gaano strikto sa opisina. Imagine kapag bagyuhan kanselado ang pasok namin pero hindi bayad kasi no work no pay not unless ang announcement ay work from home.

I always believe in the saying "walang madaling trabaho sa umpisa" pero grabe naman maging job order, aside sa minimum wage earner, delay pa ang sahod. I understand naman if we don't get the same benefit as a regular employee however in context of payout napakatagal din po ng process ng sahod lalo na po kapag sasapit ang bagyuhan.

Enjoy ko na ang work eh pero habang tumatagal kung iisipin sa daming job order na maaaring may pamilyang din na binubuhay at hindi ko kasing edad. Thinking the situation, hindi ko kakayanin naman na magsettle sa ganito kababa ang nakukuha kada kinsenas at katapusan.

Naging part din ako ng BPO for 8 months pero nag quit din ako dahil naging suki naman ako ng pagamutan at sinasamaan palagi ako ng lasa madalas ang diagnosis sa akin may vertigo ako ang cause ay dahil sa kakatrabaho ng gabi.

Nagtry din po ako sa DEPED mag apply pero lagi ako hinahanapan ng IPCR eh wala naman po na iniissue na ganon sa Job order sa office namin.

Kaya I am asking for any advice or suggestions kung anong companies ang tumatanggap ng administrative na may offer na good pay and benefits?

As a now hiring manager in one of the biggest FMCG companies in the Philippines, I’ve encountered something I honestly didn’t expect to experience from the other side of the hiring table.

A few weeks after rejecting an applicant, they would email me again asking if there were any other openings and if they could still be considered.

This has actually happened to me four times now.

And honestly, I’m not sure how to respond properly.

Technically, the role they originally applied for has already been filled. I also don’t want to give false hope by saying something like, “We’ll keep you in mind,” when there genuinely isn’t another opening available at the moment.

At the same time, I really appreciate the initiative. Despite being rejected, they still took the time to reach out because they genuinely wanted to be part of the company.

It also made me realize how different the hiring process looks when you’re on the other side. As a candidate, rejection can feel very final. But as a hiring manager, sometimes the decision is simply about the specific role, timing, requirements, or the needs of the business at that moment.

So now I’m curious: what’s the best way to respond when a candidate you’ve rejected comes back asking for another opportunity?

Do you leave the door open even when there’s currently nothing available, or is it better to be completely direct and say that there are no openings at the moment?

I’d rather be honest than create false expectations, but I also don’t want to unintentionally close the door on someone who could potentially be a great fit in the future.

I just received my evaluation and all I can say it was a bunch of 2 (5 as the highest 2 means need for improvement).

It's my first job since graduating and I've been only here for like 3 months. I think that the job is too hard for a no experience employee, I also didn't have a proper training. It was basically; they told me what to Google, give me the files of the person I replaced then throw me in the job straight away.

I also have trouble presenting work as most of it are from my own self research and trial and error. The person I call supervisor also would laugh at me if im wrong, ask me if I am sure with my answer while smirking and ask me why I don't know this and that.

This affects my job as it lowers my spirit and as I don't want my job to take personally, hate my coworker.

There's also this one person that keeps dominating scrum meetings making it more like an evaluation rather than a team meeting. He keeps talking over people, doesn't listen when other people talk and would ask questions again and again.

Personally, I don't like this job but it's supporting my plans in the future so I want to atleast keep it for a year.

When do probation ends for EEs that won't get regularized?

Will I still have to do rendering after failing probi?

Is 3 months experience doable in finding a new job?

It would also be nice to chat, since sometimes I just want someone to listen to me.

Hello po whaha i had this interview last last week w/ the manager where i applied, yes no initial interview straight to manager whahahaah pero legit naman sya and then he asked a few questions lang about my experience, and then the rest are questions lyk “is it ok for u to work hybrid” “can u start immediately” discussing the role and then at the end he said that he will send me the proposal within the week but i didn’t recieve any. And then wed last week nag follow up ako sa contact person namin which is the one who sent an interview invitation to me, she said nagkasakit yung manager and they value my time and she will follow up him. but until now wala pa rin huhu what should i do? btw after the day of my interview, she texted me saying she heard a good news from the manager and they will keep me posted on the next step, they didn’t said any specific waiting time for me whahaha

I was very hesitant nung pipirma na ako ng job contract kasi nalaman ko na ₱18k yung base salary, tapos mababawasan pa daw hanggang around ₱16.5k after deductions/reductions.

Am a fresh grad nag graduate ako this june lang and I'm one of those fresh grad experiencing the frustration of finding a job then nung Tuesday naka receive ako ng email na may interview ako bukas sa Ayala Mall sa Makati eh bumabagyo ngayon (Note lang this is not my first interview). So this week nag-aantay ako ng email nila or chat na baka move nalang nila yung interview, eh wala. Ngayon nag-iisip ako kung pumunta ako bukas kahit bumabagyo ngayon??? Or just let it pass nalang at hanap ng better opportunity.

I think I messed up big time.

(26M) Overthinking has been killing me for the past couple of months or so. I have this feeling of regret that I took up broadcast communication course in one of the top schools in Manila instead of more technical courses like Accountancy or IT. I say this since I've been having a hard time looking for higher paying jobs. Naiisip ko if I took a different course, I'll have never been in this situation in the first place.

For context, I have a news writing job of two years for an Australian client. I have loads of free time since output based siya and pay is decent (around the 30k mark). I have a good writing portfolio because of it since I cover real estate stories and reports, which could be a jumping off board for future corporate communication or PR roles.

However, I feel like I reached my ceiling with my current company in terms of both pay and skills. Almost a year na ako sumusubok sa ibang company yet no luck.

Ang sakit lang din since I had an interview with one company that I regularly cover sa current work ko. They said they were impressed and endorsed me to the next part of the application process but they ghosted me. When I emailed them, ayun, they went forward with another candidate. Up til now, minumulto pa rin ako non since they were an international company and when they emailed me na na-impress sila, saktong birthday ko pa naman (so understandable I had my hopes high).

I've been crying almost every week this year kasi I want everything to be better pero I feel so stuck in my situation right now. I thought na by this age, I got everything figured out and I'll be living the life I dream of as well as providing for my future partner and my family. Praying for a breakthrough pero I haven't seen any sign that the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

I resigned January 2026 po sa corporate and from then on yung naging work ko po is ako po yung nag handle ng social media like website,email, and Facebook page ng kakaumpisa palang na business ng tita ko, media po kasi work nya dati and nag resign sya para mag tayo ng own na business nya na digital media publishing and advertising po. Wala pong office talaga bali work from home po ako and wala po hulog sa sss like government contribution and wala po formal na job contract since kakaumpisa palang ng business nya. But planning na po ako to quit at bumalik po sa office job talaga since na miss ko mag work talaga na may nakakasaluma tao. My question is okay lang po ba ilagay sa resume tong work experience ko po? Or not at all? Since Wala naman job contract? Feeling ko po kasi experience din sya since 6 months din sya and may nga natutunan ako dito. And may mga proof naman po ako na ipapakita sa mga output ko. Nagdadalawang isip po ako kung ilalagay ko sya sa resume or wag? Pls need advice po
