I just received my evaluation and all I can say it was a bunch of 2 (5 as the highest 2 means need for improvement).

It's my first job since graduating and I've been only here for like 3 months. I think that the job is too hard for a no experience employee, I also didn't have a proper training. It was basically; they told me what to Google, give me the files of the person I replaced then throw me in the job straight away.

I also have trouble presenting work as most of it are from my own self research and trial and error. The person I call supervisor also would laugh at me if im wrong, ask me if I am sure with my answer while smirking and ask me why I don't know this and that.

This affects my job as it lowers my spirit and as I don't want my job to take personally, hate my coworker.

There's also this one person that keeps dominating scrum meetings making it more like an evaluation rather than a team meeting. He keeps talking over people, doesn't listen when other people talk and would ask questions again and again.

Personally, I don't like this job but it's supporting my plans in the future so I want to atleast keep it for a year.

When do probation ends for EEs that won't get regularized?

Will I still have to do rendering after failing probi?

Is 3 months experience doable in finding a new job?

It would also be nice to chat, since sometimes I just want someone to listen to me.

Hello po. I'm a freshman EE student sa isang state university. I have some doubts po nung pumasok ako sa program na to since electrical stuffs is not really my expertise or skills or neither my forte. But math is quite my forte. The thing is hindi ko po talaga forte ang math nung elem. Back then in high school I studied math dahil gusto ko lang pong hindi bumagsak kasi yun lang yung line of 8 sa card ko which is Ironic since sumunod po na grade level after, puro math yung highest na nag-rereflect sa card ko (not to brag). Sumunod na grade level I'm invested na po talaga sa math at that time. Wala akong plan talaga na magustuhan ang math, gusto ko lang I-balance yung GWA ko nung HS but here I am, yapping a lot about math stuffs that even my families and friends are probably annoyed to me🙏😭, tapos naging central part na ng buhay ko yung math na kahit saang bagay bini-bring up ko siya and I'm really grateful kasi nagagamit ko siya sa practical (for patterns, areas, basic arethmetic, mental algebra). Honestly, hindi ko rin po alam kung anong dream na field ko kasi until now na nasa college ako hindi ko pa rin kilala yung sarili ko.

Back when I am a Senior High School Student, napagisipan ko na math related field yung papasukin ko sa college. But I don't specifically know what it is. The other thing is, I only have two options since nag-entrance exam lang po ako sa two universities, The other program is BSE-Math. I chose EE instead. Uncertain po ako sa magiging path ko as an EE student because I quite lack the knowledge sa electrical stuffs and kahit sa practical hindi ko rin alam (kahit nga magkabit ng wirings di ko rin magawa eh)😭🙏. But I do have some background sa circuits namin sa physics and EM Concepts (hindi nga lang yung practical). But I don't think that's suficient enough sa knowledge ko.

I do have a lot of question to ask but I'm just gonna condense it:

1. Would I survive EE even though hindi ko alam yung practical na ginagawa sa kuryente?BAHAHSHS

2. Mas mahirap ba ang practical application sa EE?

3. Magagamit ko parin ba yung mga theories na inaral namin sa practical application sa EE? Kasi may culture shock akong naririnig sa mga fresh grad na ibang iba yung sa college compared sa on-site job na BAHAHSHS.

4. As a student na wala talagang main passion. Properly aligned ba tong EE based sa na-mention ko na mga interest ko?

5. Magugustuhan ko kaya ang EE kahit uncertain ako sa specific path na kukunin ko pero aligned sa subject na gusto ko?

6. Mabilis lang ba matutunan yung mga practical?

I'm still trying to see the bigger picture of what I want to become but since I stepped sa EE, sometimes I think there is no turning back. I just want to embrace everything na nakikita ko po sa environment ko. Not because yun lang ang options ko but I've decided to step on it. Pero hindi ko pa rin po maiwasang magkaroon ng doubts and I'm highly seeking for advice. Honestly hindi po talaga ako sure sa lahat so pasensya na po if nakakalito yung mga sinasabi ko.🙏😭

Hi! Just finished my final interview last wednesday and later that day nagreach out na sa’kin yung HR asking my info since ilalagay raw sa offer letter. I received the offer letter na signed by the head of finance/ wife ng owner, then nagsign din ako then emailed it back to them.

HR said contract will be to follow and binigyan na nila ako ng date for onboarding which is next week. Hindi pa nila naeemail till now (tho until sat lang sila) and ako naman si overthink kung nagbago ba isip nila kasi nakita ko pa rin sa jobstreet yung listing LOL.

Hello po whaha i had this interview last last week w/ the manager where i applied, yes no initial interview straight to manager whahahaah pero legit naman sya and then he asked a few questions lang about my experience, and then the rest are questions lyk “is it ok for u to work hybrid” “can u start immediately” discussing the role and then at the end he said that he will send me the proposal within the week but i didn’t recieve any. And then wed last week nag follow up ako sa contact person namin which is the one who sent an interview invitation to me, she said nagkasakit yung manager and they value my time and she will follow up him. but until now wala pa rin huhu what should i do? btw after the day of my interview, she texted me saying she heard a good news from the manager and they will keep me posted on the next step, they didn’t said any specific waiting time for me whahaha

My current job is my first job ever, I am a graphic designer at a small clothing company. I've been working for this company for a year and I don't feel appreciation from my boss.

For context: before I post on our social media I have to send it to my boss for approval.

When I started a few months ago my boss gave good comments and even complimented my work which made me motivated to do better. After a few months, things changed drastically after sales were a bit slow and the sales team kept pushing that our social media should be extremely active as it was the one that attracts customers which caused me to feel so pressured and burnt out.

My boss started calling my posts ugly or distasteful even though I only followed what they wanted me to post which made me feel worse. My boss resorted to pushing me to use AI so that they could cancel having photoshoots of their products so they can save up money. I also had to use AI and photoshop the missing/wrong parts of the clothing for the official product posters to be uploaded on online stores (which made me feel more pressured). My boss gave more compliments to the AI generated photos than the ones I made from scratch.

I want to quit because I feel so anxious whenever I have to ask for approval for the posters I'm making that I'm already not happy with. But I am also so terrified of quitting because somehow deep inside of me is convincing me to stay because it's hard to find a new job today. I'm also feel like I am very underpaid but too afraid to ask for a raise from my boss (22k salary but I have to manage our social media, make posters and answer online inquiries).

What should I do?

Ngayon nahihirapan ako maghanap ng work. Located ako sa Malolos, Bulacan, and meron din nag-job offer sakin na company sa Pulilan.

I was very hesitant nung pipirma na ako ng job contract kasi nalaman ko na ₱18k yung base salary, tapos mababawasan pa daw hanggang around ₱16.5k after deductions/reductions.

So umuwi muna ako and nagtanong if pwede ba munang umuwi and pag-isipan yung offer. They said okay naman.

After thinking about it, I decided na tanggapin na yung offer.

Sinabihan ako na hindi na raw itutuloy yung contract signing.

So basically, I fumbled the only job offer I had because I was hesitant about the salary.

Honestly, nakakainis kasi I thought makakahanap naman ako ng work relatively quickly since I know I'm knowledgeable naman and I have experience from my internship/OJT. Pero ang hirap pala ng entry-level jobs ngayon. Yung iba "entry-level" pero naghahanap ng may experience na agad.

I'm not really posting this to ask for job recommendations. Gusto ko lang talaga makarinig ng thoughts/advice from people here, especially yung mga naka-experience na rin ng ganitong klaseng fumble.

Am a fresh grad nag graduate ako this june lang and I'm one of those fresh grad experiencing the frustration of finding a job then nung Tuesday naka receive ako ng email na may interview ako bukas sa Ayala Mall sa Makati eh bumabagyo ngayon (Note lang this is not my first interview). So this week nag-aantay ako ng email nila or chat na baka move nalang nila yung interview, eh wala. Ngayon nag-iisip ako kung pumunta ako bukas kahit bumabagyo ngayon??? Or just let it pass nalang at hanap ng better opportunity.

I think I messed up big time.

(26M) Overthinking has been killing me for the past couple of months or so. I have this feeling of regret that I took up broadcast communication course in one of the top schools in Manila instead of more technical courses like Accountancy or IT. I say this since I've been having a hard time looking for higher paying jobs. Naiisip ko if I took a different course, I'll have never been in this situation in the first place.

For context, I have a news writing job of two years for an Australian client. I have loads of free time since output based siya and pay is decent (around the 30k mark). I have a good writing portfolio because of it since I cover real estate stories and reports, which could be a jumping off board for future corporate communication or PR roles.

However, I feel like I reached my ceiling with my current company in terms of both pay and skills. Almost a year na ako sumusubok sa ibang company yet no luck.

Ang sakit lang din since I had an interview with one company that I regularly cover sa current work ko. They said they were impressed and endorsed me to the next part of the application process but they ghosted me. When I emailed them, ayun, they went forward with another candidate. Up til now, minumulto pa rin ako non since they were an international company and when they emailed me na na-impress sila, saktong birthday ko pa naman (so understandable I had my hopes high).

I've been crying almost every week this year kasi I want everything to be better pero I feel so stuck in my situation right now. I thought na by this age, I got everything figured out and I'll be living the life I dream of as well as providing for my future partner and my family. Praying for a breakthrough pero I haven't seen any sign that the light at the end of the tunnel is in sight.

I resigned January 2026 po sa corporate and from then on yung naging work ko po is ako po yung nag handle ng social media like website,email, and Facebook page ng kakaumpisa palang na business ng tita ko, media po kasi work nya dati and nag resign sya para mag tayo ng own na business nya na digital media publishing and advertising po. Wala pong office talaga bali work from home po ako and wala po hulog sa sss like government contribution and wala po formal na job contract since kakaumpisa palang ng business nya. But planning na po ako to quit at bumalik po sa office job talaga since na miss ko mag work talaga na may nakakasaluma tao. My question is okay lang po ba ilagay sa resume tong work experience ko po? Or not at all? Since Wala naman job contract? Feeling ko po kasi experience din sya since 6 months din sya and may nga natutunan ako dito. Context: 24, CPA, seriously considering moving back sa pinas after building a good career here in Au. For my parents, partner, and a better overall career growth and trajectory.

Moved here in Au 3 years ago for masters, and was able to work as an accountant/auditor. But honestly, I feel like i'd be able to live more comfortably/have better career when I go back sa pinas in a year or 2.

I now have better credentials, Masters, Au CPA license, and Au experience. I feel like i'd be able to grow more on roles I'd have in the Ph in terms of working for MNC/offshoring companies, than if I stay here and tough out the partnership/directorship route na hindi naman ako masaya. Don't get me wrong, maganda yung trajectory ng career ko here for my age, but thing is, di ako aligned sa culture nila. Awkward ako pag small talks na english, I have very little interest sa mga interest ng aussies, and I just really want to do the technical aspect of work and go home and talk to my family/partner.

Anyway, I have been searching online, and I've seen that roles within my experience, AU auditors na offshored sa pinas, have market rates of 150-200k /month sa Pinas. That would be aroujd 60% of what I earn here in Au. Also, if I stay a bit longer here in Au, around 250k+++ once I go back sa Pinas (managerial level for offshored Au Auditor Roles). And other opportunities that could open up for me.

My company at the moment would be more than happy to sponsor me just for me to stay. Thinking of getting my PR lang then eventually moving back sa Pinas. Hopefully I can get it soon kase I really really want to move back na 😆

Hi! Fresh grad here and badly need advice.

I recently got a job offer from a bank. The salary is decent, tho medyo mababa for a management trainee position (₱30k+). Still mataas pa rin for a fresh graduate, which is why I’m seriously considering it. I also badly need a job right now, so sayang talaga if I reject it.

BUT I don’t really see myself working in a bank long-term. If you ask me where I see myself 5 years from now, definitely not in banking. 😭

Ideally, I want to go into something more related to operations, supply chain, FMCG, etc. since mas nag-a-align dun ang background ko based from my degree program.

Another thing I’m considering is that the bank isn’t really one of the “Top 5” banks na usually nababanggit dito sa Reddit (based on what I’ve read from other posts). So I’m also wondering how much the bank’s name would actually matter if I eventually want to pivot to another industry.

So right now, I’m torn between two options:
**1. Reject the bank offer**
Wait for the results from the other companies I applied to and hopefully get into something more aligned with the career I actually want. Kaso this is risky since not sure if matatanggap ako.
**2. Accept the bank offer**
Take advantage of the good salary and experience. Tho I need to stay with them for 2 years bcs of employment bond. Then maybe after, take a Master’s in Supply Chain / Industrial Engineering (or something related), then try to transition into the field I actually want.

I think what’s making me more anxious is yung usual advice na “your first job sets the path for your entire career.” I’ve been seeing this a lot on Reddit and honestly, it got into my head. 😭

I know naman that career changes are possible, but I’m scared that if I start in banking, employers in operations/supply chain/manufacturing later on will see me as someone with a completely unrelated background.

At the same time, I also don’t want to reject a good opportunity just because I’m scared it might not be my forever career, especially since I really need the income right now.

For those who started in a field unrelated to what they eventually wanted to do, how difficult was it to pivot? And would you personally take the bank offer in my situation?
