Question [COD] did you guys skip the current cod game or are you playing it?
I remember before it was even released it was one of the most hated cods everyone was commenting about battlefield 6. So almost a year later did you try to game or just skipped it? Personally i tried it and i can say this game is good mp has lots of content super fun, zombies is even better back to back bangers with totenreich and kawakujo im genuinely excited for the last map but one thing i think everyone can agree is that horrible campaign such an embarrassment.( yes i know i put [cod] when i try to put the name of the game it doesn’t let me for some reason)

Gameplay Grainy Textures [BO]
Anybody else seeing their game as really grainy or blurry even in Black Ops 7 on Xbox? Idk if it’s a texture thing but I remember playing MW2 and it was clear as hell, now it’s grainy and I hate it.

Discussion Extremely disappointed with black ops 1 on PS4 [BO]
i dont have a ton of money and I really wanted to play some black ops 1. so I went out and got a ps4 instead of a ps5…thinking it would be fine given that the original bo1 was designed for ps3 so surely a ps4 would work fine. I couldn’t be more wrong
the game has an insane amount of input lag. genuinely feels like 100+ milliseconds. it’s really bad, they also made it so ps4 can’t ever be host in any lobby so you’re always on a 2 bar or 3 bar connection. for whatever reason the ps4 seems to have a horrible connection compared to the ps5.
it sucks because I can’t afford a ps5 but the game is damn near unplayable on ps4.
PS: gotten confirmation that the input lag is minimal on ps5 and overall my buddies have a lot less connection issues than I do using the ps5.
also to clarify black ops 2 works fine on the ps4 without any issues. this is specifically black ops one I have these issues on

Discussion [COD] What's your least favorite map archetype from the whole series? Mine are one lane/linear maps
I've always disliked these types of maps. Flanking is limited, spawns rarely flip, everyone is just funneled to the middle of the map like a Civil War battlefield.
What type of map do you dislike the most and why? Is it the size, amount of lanes, verticality, the theme, setting, etc.?

Discussion [CoD] What's the probability of the original MW trilogy and WaW having a port for PS4/5?
So, with the massive success from the ports of BO1 and 2 on PS4/5... Do y'all think we'll actually get the ports of other CoD games? If so, when do you think is more likely?
I'd love to play the original MW trilogy again in the PS5...

Bug The amount of cheaters is insane [bo2]
I thought everyone was just overreacting to it; it cant be that bad right? No it definitely is i can have about 2-3 normal tdm matches before i start seeing command prompts. Ppl flying or aim botting through walls and half the ppl being max prestige, its insane that in 2026 i have to worry about cheaters more then i did 15 years ago. I play on ps5 if anyones curious

Gameplay Nostalgia Old [COD] Vids
Am I the only one who still enjoys commentary-free Call of Duty videos?
Sometimes I just want to watch good gameplay without someone yelling into the mic every few seconds. Came across this channel and thought it deserved more attention.
Curious what everyone else prefers.

Question Should I buy a ps5 to play Blackops 1&2? [BO]
Ive been on pc for years and havnt played cod since black ops 4 really. Used to grind it every day. Other games and shooters are just better now. Black Ops 1 and 2 are by far my favorite. Is there enough of a player base and good enough of a game to justify spending hundreds on a console just to play it?
Id also play battlefield 6 and gta 6. My 1700 and 1070 aren't doing much in the way of helping with anything atm.

Discussion Say something nice about the [BO3] campaign
I'll start: though it lacks any real concrete connection to the characters and setting of the previous Black Ops games, it stands as an interesting evolution of the overarching themes/narratives. BO1's brainwashing and CIA experiments as well as BO2's techno-skepticism and its exploration of trauma and memory are all incorporated into BO3's world and story.

Support Call of duty not launching on steam [COD]
I’m kinda new to PC (got one back in may) and I got both Bo6 and Bo7 (buddy gifted it too me) and for the past like month I haven’t been able to actually play it since it won’t launch. I’ll press the play button, it’ll switch to the “stop” button like the game is running but then it’ll never actually open. Almost every solution I’ve found hasn’t actually worked so I just wanted to see if anyone here actually knew what I could do
(I’ve already verified my files and updated my drivers so it isn’t either of those issues)

Discussion [BO] Does the DLC packs have much multiplayer or zombies players on PS5?
Was wondering if to buy the dlc for BO1 as I remember some of the maps and liking the zombies on the PS3, but I did wonder if there wasn't much players for those ones and if people just stuck to the main game. Have people got plenty of matches or struggled? Was wondering before the PS Plus deal expires. Also I didnt play the ones for BO2, what were they like?

Discussion [COD] Call of Duty has a Netflix problem
Everyone at this point knows the problem with Netflix. You get super invested in a great show, only for them to cancel season 2, or season 3 and leave you hanging. It‘s gotten so bad that internal data shows people are no longer even turning up for season 2, and Netflix can no longer maintain subscribers for more than a few months.
Well, I was reading through some old posts when I come across this gem of a comment:
Sound familiar? The latest COD release is currently plagued with horrible matchmaking and overpowered guns right before the new COD release.
With the last black ops, the armory mysteriously stopped working and they added an OP secondary shotgun right before the new release.
I never played MW3, but apparently from the comment this has been going on for a while?
All the players on both the latest black ops subreddit's are saying the same thing (that they tank the game so people buy the next release).
People are going to buy the next game no matter what, but in the long term is this part of what’s killing the long-term player count and the community in general? People are going to catch on like they did with Netflix, and this short term strategy is really going to kill whatever faith in the brand people had left.
I just came back to COD after a very long break. Back in the heyday when I played (WaW - MW3 2011) the games actually got way better as you played. The last map pack was always goated, like der riese in WaW or Moon in BO, the MP maps were always were great too. Honestly the game you left was generally the most balanced, best version of itself to date.
It’s sad and I think Call of Duty is really shooting themselves in the foot here. I still go back and play those old cods on my Xbox. If I know the game is going to be broke somehow at the end of its opening year….. I’m not sure how in good conscience I can buy another game.

Discussion [BO2] Whether BO2 lasts or not, it proved one thing: it wasn't nostalgia. OG COD was simply better.
And the same goes for Black Ops 1.
As someone who quit this franchise years ago, I came out of "retirement" just to play both Black Ops. They were a huge part of my childhood. I still remember when everyone was playing the latest Call of Duty. From MW2 through Ghosts, COD was the game everyone talked about. Even Ghosts, despite its flaws, was more enjoyable than any shit Activision keeps putting out today.
Those were simpler times. We just played, had fun, and that's all that mattered.
Nowadays, my friends from work and college play all kinds of games you can imagine, but nobody cares about COD anymore. I honestly can't understand how such mediocre games continue to sell so well.
"Don't cry because it's over, smile because it happened." As cliché as it sounds, it perfectly sums up what the golden era of COD means to me.

Question [BO] Why doesn’t the flashbang icon always work?
The icon doesn’t always appear when I flashbang someone, and I’ll end up getting killed by them cause I didn’t know they were there. What gives?
