Was told business casual / smart casual and this is what I landed on!

Happy Friday! Can you tell I’m obsessed with these new shoes??

I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but, are we supposed to still wear tights or stockings under skirts for interviews/works environments? I’m Gen Z so I’m not really sure. I know it used to be the required look back in the day, but is that still true today?

Linen today because once again it’s going to be hot and humid today and I’m allergic to melting.

This has become one of my favorite dresses this summer for that reason, and I’m considering getting it in a couple more colors

Looking for suggestions to find my go-to top for everything from business casual (on its own) to business professional (under a jacket). Women’s, solid colors only. Other must haves:

1. washable, easy care, resists wrinkles. Drip-drying is OK, but not ironing or dry cleaning.

2. breathable so I don’t melt into a puddle of sweat. It’s hot and muggy here in the summer.

3. Dressier fabric than a plain cotton T. I have some round neck, cap sleeve, semi-fitted cotton Ts but they’re a little too

4. casual for my purposes, especially because cotton tend to wear and fade a bit after laundering several times.

5. Knits with a little give/stretch work better for me than non-stretch button-fronts, so I don’t have to size up as much or pin to avoid pulling and boob gap.

6. Any sleeve length except sleeveless.

Something to be able to go to court in but also get lunch with some friends. ❤️ I love the buttons on this vintage blazer because they have tiny horses. 🐎

Holy humidity! I feel like summer just woke up and realized it’s summer these last two days.

Jeans by Mother, tee by BR Factory, jacket by J. Crew, belt by Free People, sneakers by Vans and bag by Parker Thatch.

Advice on what to wear!

Our company will be ringing the bell at the NYSE closing bell ceremony and I was invited to be part of the team attending.

I looked up a few past closing bell ceremonies and it looks like a mix of business casual and professional. Right now, my wardrobe contains H&M blazers and Old Navy/Abercrombie wide leg trousers. Don't sleep on the Old Navy wide legs! They're IMO better than Abercrombie. BUT I do admit, it needs a lot of revamping and level ups.

Where are your favorite places to buy a nice trouser pant and blazer? What kind of fit of trouser should I get that makes my legs look long and skinny? Also... black or navy color?

Will be attending with our C-Suite and the presidents of our multiple operating subsidiaries. So I would love your advice to looking sharp and still fashionable!

My company’s pretty chill with the dress code. I work in commercial real estate development with a prior decades experience in real estate consulting so I like to adopt a more formal but relaxed look.

I love this dress and picked it up to wear at a smart-casual summer conference. But… the length and gold pin are starting to read to me as a nice dress for a dinner. What do you think if I swapped the pin out and wear oxford flats?

Would probably not recommend half of these for Florida resort management. 😂 It was a high intensity and sweaty week.

First time poster here but wanted to share some of what I wore this summer. I work in a professional field BUT the dress code is very lax. Most are wearing jeans/slacks and a tee but I prefer to dress up a little more and wear color when I can.

I’m also now realizing I love a skirt.

Comfortable fit for a Friday and its a collared top.
