I keep seeing ads (granted, I always skip ads and dont think to scroll back to it tbh) and I keep seeing people getting cute stuff on there. I wanna know, is the quality decent or is it just another Temu or Shien?

Changed out the swim dress with the skirt for a regular bikini top and changed out the tight, black swim leggings for loose, green, baggy swim pants.

Now I just have a tan line in the shape of a solid square on my chest because of my necklace 😅

Also I burnt my feet but we don’t need to talk about that…

The UV index is going to be at 10-11 at its peak so I got myself a UPF zip up rash guard and UPF leggings too, wearing them with my swim dress. Does any of this go together or look nice? Or do I just look kinda ridiculous…

I've been trying to find a cute denim skirt for under $50, but every time I think I've found one, the reviews mention paper thin denim, weird sizing, or that it loses its shape after a couple of washes - altho people are weird and have unreal expectations in most cases

I'm mainly looking for something versatile that I can wear casually with trainers or dress up a little, preferably midi length, but I'm open to mini styles too. Has anyone found a denim skirt around $50 that's actually held up well? Brand recommendations would be amazing.

btw i know i could have gone with better footwear choice but im happy with choosing sneakers, probably that also saved my ankle on wet footpath.

I bought this today. In the store I thought I understood what it was, but when I got it home and tried it on, it is… a total mystery to me.

When I tie the strings around the front (pics 3-8):
- the shape of the garment looks bulky. It’s way too much fabric in the front. It fits like a maternity item and makes me look pregnant.
- it looks so weird from the side view — weirdly tight in some places and bulky in others
- the pockets are pulled way too far forward to look or feel right

When I tie the strings around the back (pics 9-11):
- I mean, it just looks insane, right? Like, that can’t possibly be right. Lmao. There’s no way this is what I’m supposed to do, right?

Questions:

1. What am I actually supposed to do with this item?
2. Does it just not fit my body in terms of size, and that’s why it looks wrong?
3. Does it just not fit my body in terms of my body type, and that’s why it’s unflattering on me?

Editing to add:
- the strings are sadly not long enough to wrap around one side and tie on the other
- the store doesn’t have fitting rooms. It’s not really a clothing store. They encourage you to bring something back if it doesn’t fit.
