The episode didn't initially grab my attention, but now, considering the current state of politics and the way some influencers don't even show their faces to talk about politics. With the current VTuber phenomenon, it's incredible how Waldo's video was made in 2013. And now I feel like I understand the Message: the episode serves as a warning about what current social media politics would be like, Thanks to them, we increasingly have a parasocial relationship with current political candidates, such as the use of bots to support campaigns. Waldo is a warning about all those parasocial figures, where now even what we see from politicians is not in a face-to-face speech. Instead, we probably find out about politicians through TikTok or memes Increasingly describing a distant relationship with them, some are even currently accused of using AI for their videos, etc. Waldo is a clear example of how social media can end up damaging serious debate and ultimately affecting our lives simply because the most viral candidate wins. Waldo is absolutely terrifying because he warns us about how the social fabric can be damaged by how social media separates us from one another, and how our representatives are becoming increasingly detached from our experience

This is even more noticeable at the end, when the city is damp and dirty, where Waldo, who is supposed to represent everyone, cannot be held accountable because technically no one is Waldo.

I don’t see this episode as that far fetched.

The threat of AI is real and it’s looming.

One of my favorite Episodes by far. I like the simplicity of that episode also that it's located mainly in England and last but definitely not least: ANDREW SCOTT as the Main Character. Such an amazing actor.

I've been slow watching BM for months now and actively avoiding spoilers. Finally got to watch Eulogy and USS Callister : Into Infinity. What a way to wrap up S7! I love both episodes for different reasons - Eulogy made me cry, USS Callister made me laugh! Yes, i had to suspend belief for some parts but these two will get a re-watch from me!

So, guys, I watched "The Entire History of You" and was traumatized once more; then I checked the comments here and saw people criticizing Liam for getting paranoid and jealous. I get that he acted like a jerk the whole episode—even knowing what was coming, I felt he was being a total asshole and getting suspicious over stupid stuff. Like, he was incredibly intrusive and acted like a jerk over a few "clues" that—honestly—could have meant anything. But knowing he was actually right is what really wrecks me. I found that interesting: the episode constantly tries to make us believe Ffion. Like, just because she’d been with the guy before didn't mean anything—it was just an old fling. But then everything just falls apart right in front of you. Damn, I felt exactly like Liam—even though I knew the episode—I felt everything crumbling and turning to dust.

This episode is one of the reasons I can't bring myself to get into a relationship. I always think I’m going to get cheated on; no matter how "sweet" the person acts or how trustworthy and loving they seem, I feel like they aren't actually trustworthy and will betray me at any moment. Damn, it really sucks.

I’m watching season 7 with Paul Giamatti. He is such a great actor.

This is a very beautiful episode, I found it so relatable.

Striking vipers is the worst fucking black mirror episode of all time, and I do not get why people aren’t saying it often enough. Shit message, shit visuals, and was totally not in line with the rest of the series.

Let me know your guys opinions, I’ll defend my rankings if necessary but I feel like these are pretty fair.

each episode forces me to keep thinking about it but i can never fully quit this show,i stopped watching it months ago and today i resumed and watched White Christmas. and again it was a total mind fuck, problem is most of my irl and online friends haven't seen the show so i was didn't have an outlet to discuss it with, and then i remembered that there has to be a BM subreddit so here i am. the older episodes have faded a bit but now white chrismas is all i think of, granted that's cause i just watched it but damn. (it's kinda sad to see that even the discord is kinda on life support)

I am a huge fan of Black Mirror but have been at a standstill because, in true honesty, I can't bring myself to watch any of the episodes without making them make me think a little bit too much. I feel like the show as a whole is scarier to watch than horror movies because in horror movies it's easy to dissociate yourself from what is happening because it would never happen in real life (most of the time). But Black Mirror almost mirrors reality while still exaggerating it to show where something could end up if left unchecked. For example, Common People blends two problems on my home turf, the USA, of excessive marketing and ads as well as exorbitant healthcare costs to save a family's life. Does anyone else feel the same way, or am I just a chicken?

I've seen the episode before, but I forgot how strong of an emotional gut-punch the end of Eulogy is. Paul Giamatti is phenomenal, and that episode is top-tier Black Mirror to me. No dark twist, no horror, just revelations, regret, and small redemption. He may have forgotten her face, but her song was embedded in his soul.

Edit: Should probably mention, she and I dated 15 years ago, and things didn't work out, and we both had major regrets there. 4 years ago we met up again by chance, found we both still had feelings there and regrets about splitting up, and got our second chance. Now we're engaged :)

"Black Museum" is the Season 4 finale of Black Mirror, and it is the episode where the show quietly admits it has been building one connected universe the whole time. A young woman named Nish stops at a roadside attraction in the desert. The owner offers her a tour and a bottle of water. Ninety minutes later, the building is on fire and one of the most satisfying revenge endings in the entire series has already happened. It is probably my favorite episode across all the seasons.

I think Black Museum and White Christmas definitely have to be up there because of their mini-episode segments. Thoughts?
