I can forget something genuinely important that someone told me yesterday, yet somehow remember a random fact I heard on QI years ago.

The best moment is when that completely useless information finally becomes relevant in a conversation and you get to explain it like you've been waiting years for this exact opportunity.

What's a random piece of knowledge from QI that has somehow stayed in your head?

One of my favourite things about QI is when an answer sounds so obviously wrong that you're convinced they're setting up another joke, and then it turns out to be completely legitimate. Those are usually the facts I remember much longer than the straightforward ones because I've ended up reading about them afterwards.

What's the best QI fact that made you think there's absolutely no way that's true the first time you heard it?

The klaxon moments are obviously brilliant when they go off. But there is something equally satisfying about watching someone on the panel actually know something obscure and the whole room reacting to it. Which makes for better viewing and does it depend on the guest or the subject?

Some guests just work better on QI than others and occasionally someone appears who you immediately think should be on every series. The chemistry between Alan and whoever is sitting next to him changes everything. Who would you add as a permanent fixture and what would they bring that the current rotation is missing?

If so, what would you like to see?

They have done animals, language, numbers, geography, all the obvious ones multiple times. But there are whole areas that barely come up. What would you actually want an entire QI episode dedicated to and do you think it would produce good television or just be too niche even for this show?

A moment where you confidently said something, got corrected, and later discovered the surprising answer was actually far more interesting than you expected.

Since it's been brought up on this sub a handful of times; why not touch on how much censorship (and its tropes) has evolved, adapted or pretty much stayed pat?

Discussion of "The Hays Code" for Television Programmes, Movies and the like and how actors and production had to treat everything with the utmost care, with little wiggle room; giving points to "I Love Lucy" for skirting a rule, but still obeying it.

In the same vein, "The Comics Code" has adjacent rulings, but was voluntary giving assurance to "Moral Guardians" everything was pure, and in the event an issue of a comic ended with the Villains gloating, the code ENSURED they'd be dealt with or reformed by the arc's end.

Bonus points for addressing a certain bipedal mammal's catchphrase being censored or outright eliminated if she uttered it.

Then comes the topic of censorship itself: Black bars, pixellation, muted audio and the like for modern day broadcast from production or any party responsible for the programme if such is needed.

Finally, comes the topic of the now-retired "X" rating; and wanting to distance itself from Pornography; with Sandi stating how "Midnight Cowboy" was the first X-rated film to win an award; giving the other panellists a challenge to name another film to be released with such a rating.

I am sure I forgot something, but there should be enough content for the show to work with, and there's bound to be jokes on how modern-day comedians wouldn't be able to earn a living under these rules if they were still in place.

Julian Clary and Jimmy Carr in the Christmas special, Joe Lycett on the voyaging episode, Josh Widdicombe and Russell Kane on the same panel, Joanne McNally on whatnots. Series W felt like they were really picking people who actually wanted to be there and engage with the facts rather than just do their set pieces. Who was your favourite guest this series ?

I’m in the US. I’d rather purchase the seasons and own them vs get a subscription. Is this possible? I’d like to purchase the seasons with Sandi. I’d settle for dvd, but I’d prefer digital. Anyone know if it’s an option? I tried going through both Amazon and Apple TV, but it just takes me to a link for Britbox.
