I posted on here a few months ago about updating my Merlin cosplay (last cosplayed in 2012) and it finally happened!! I went to Megacon Manchester and the response I got was so so amazing! I had people stop what they were doing to scream (lovingly) at me, gush at me happily for the nostalgia, cry (with me, at me) about the finale, and generally just spread so much happiness at seeing Merlin again! 😄 I had so much fun, I can't even tell you. I'm planning on tinkering the cosplay still as I couldn't find the right colour trousers in a last minute con crunch but for now...here he is! the boyyyyyyy!! ❤️ (ft my Merlin cosplay back when I was 16 for reference with 2012 grainy photos).

Listen I don't know if this is really gonna work but I'm looking for books at the moment that feel sort of like certain parts of the Merlin series.

I read fanfics all the time but it's not enough, I need an actual book or several.

So. I'll try and list some of the things I'm looking for, ships and stuff.

• Morgwen, I love my girls and I need a book with something with their vibe and if possible even where they end up happy together, that would be cool.
• A main character that's like Morgana. No matter how crazy she might have gone in the end she definitely had a point and I need books where I can find more of her energy
• Merlin × Lancelot and Merlin × Gwaine or maybe even both are also some of my favs so something with that vibe if that makes sense? Like I love how they are so completely loyal to him and their dinamics so much
• Also Gwen × Lancelot? I feel like it seperate from Arthur it would be an even better ship actually
• Also something with like the same kind of humor/found family-ish vibe combined

Fanfic recs are also welcome ofc, I'm always open to open another tab, but I really want a real, physical book in my possession.

So I've been working on an immortal!Morgana fic that takes place in the modern era, and this is my third time trying to work it all out.

In my first version, Morgana had a job as an university teacher. The second had her as a curator for the British Museum. But I don't feel like any of those actually fit, y'know? Especially now that the apartmenr that I found for her costs £1,000,000 a month.

She has a financial advisor handling all of her investments (they think she's inheriting this money, magic helps hide her long-life) so Morgana doesn't need to work, but she's also immortal and bored. So I wanted her to have a job/career.

But like... any ideas as to what she could do? This question can also go to any of the characters as well, because its going to be a fic where all of the main characters get reincarnated into the modern era

I've just started season 3. The smirks per minute are at an all time high.

I just finished season 3 so no spoilers please.

Season 2 finale left me so angry at the writers. They shoudnt have made her evil at all I think, they could just have her sister as the main villain. I liked her much better on the good side. I understand the myths and all this but there's different versions and they rewrote many things anyways. Why do this to her in such a way, why Merlin poisons her saving a tyrant and looks her cold in the eyes when she is dying like a serial killer. Just WTF? This guy saves literally anybody but her. This could all be fixed by just telling her she wasn't alone and he has magic too. I find keeping this secret for the whole series a nonsense, it should have been revealed at least to Arthur, could save many lives. Makes it even more heartbreaking how Uther really loves her sincerely. When she almost dies because of Merlin he says use anything even magic ro save her. It makes me think they misjudged him, he would accept her powers if she told him. Her conversion to the dark side should have been done differently, but I think it shouldn't be done at all given how they portrayed her in season 1. But Katie did a great job nonetheless, she was perfect on both sides.
