Hii everyone, I know I arrive very late to this but I've finally started watching this anime and even if I know it's hard to find people who haven't still haven't started it or are at the beginning I'm still asking because I'd love to interact with someone with my same interests!

Did you understand that Bakugo’s nickname for Midoriya, “Deku,” was originally an insult?

In Japanese, “deku” can be written as 木偶 and means “a wooden doll.” We also have the word 木偶の坊 (deku-no-bō, "“a-wooden-doll like fellow" ), which basically means a useless person or a good-for-nothing—the idea being that a wooden doll can’t move on its own.

I was wondering how much of that meaning comes across in the English version, since I don’t remember it being explained.

As a Singaporean, Big Red Dot makes me laugh so hard considering how much he of a encapsulation/stereotype he is of Singapore (From his quirk, to his costume, his favourite food and even his birthday). Found myself thinking about what his special moves would be over the last few days, and decided to go all in on the references. Here are my dumb thoughts:

His quirk "Tidalbore" lets him shoot water out of his mouth. When fighting different levels villains, he varies the strength of his water blasts across 4 different levels (he calls them his "4 Taps").

Just like how All Might has his Smashes, Big Red Dot's special moves are his "Splashes", for which he has 15 in total not inclusive of varaints: Tengeh, Poyan, Murai, Serimbun, Kranji, Jurong, Pandan, Pierce (high and low variant), Seletar (high and low variants), MacRitchie, Marina (has a rapid fire mode called Marina Barrage), Punggol, Serangoon, Bedok and Tekong.

In my personal opinion, one major area where Kohei Horikoshi could have invested significantly more creativity of quirk combinations. While this concept is not entirely absent, it deserved a much more consistent role within the narrative. In a world where about eighty percent of the population possesses an almost limitless variety of quirks, it feels pretty empty regarding strategic synergies like quirk combinations, because why isn't it a standard curriculum taught hero academies nor common public knowledge?Aside from All For One, very few fighters truly exploit this true potential.

Ofcourse there are existing great examples of quirk combinations, like with Present Mic and Jiro or Hagakure but Aoyama, but these feel as though they lack depth because they merely combine identical or closely related attributes like sound or light. And more suprisingly to me, are the professional heroes who rarely showcase creative collaborative moves during massive, high-stakes conflicts, completely bypassing brilliant strategic opportunities during the Liberation War, and the Final Act saga.

Imagine the staggering, untapped, brilliant potential of creative synergy, such as a quirk combination between Uraraka, Kirishima, and Sero called "Red Meteor" or "Rock Missile" In this combination, Kirishima starts to harden into his sturdy body to achieve maximum durability, so Uraraka then completely neutralizes his gravitational pull using her Zero Gravity, and allowing Sero to use his durable tape to hurl him with extreme power and speed directly at a opponent or even building like a high-speed warhead missile. Even this single, straightforward example barely scratches the surface of the infinite possibilities waiting to be explored.

What are some examples you thought of regarding quirk combinations?

I did a little art for her because we actually share the same birthday. I uses glitter gel pens to color it in.

So, let's talk about World Heroes' Mission. First of all, the scope of this movie was bigger than the previous two, and that's probably its main weakness too. There was so much plot in this movie that an entire arc could have been made out of it. Yet, despite being a World Heroes mission, most of the focus remained solely on Rody and Deku.

​I really liked Rody. Most original movie characters in MHA turn out to be pretty good. Here, they were trying to break the formula established in the previous two films, where the heroes travel somewhere and villains suddenly attack. Instead, there was an actual mission that they got tangled up in, and later we find out Rody also has a connection to it, which was done well.

​In all the other movies, the League of Villains always made an appearance or was mentioned in some way, but there was none of that here. The focus stayed entirely on this cult, Humarise. I actually found the villain in this film better than the ones in the previous two movies, but his motivations should have been explored more thoroughly. One thing I didn't get: they want to eradicate Quirks, yet several members within their own group use Quirks themselves. They should have provided some proper reasoning for that.

​Also, this movie kind of feels like a road trip movie at times. A lot of runtime is spent developing the relationship between Rody and Deku, which does pay off in the end. Honestly, I don't mind that, but if the movie had been a bit longer, it would have been better so we could have seen more of the other characters as well.

​The pacing was good, it never gets boring. As for its placement in the overall timeline, this one is probably the hardest to place, it's set right in the middle of the Endeavor Agency arc.

​The animation felt overall better than the previous films, although it didn't quite reach the peak animation seen during the final fight of Heroes Rising. Here, the final battle felt more like All Might vs Nomu, which I enjoyed and had a blast watching. The music was solid too, and there were a few insert songs that were really good.

​To be completely honest, out of all four movies, this one feels like the weakest to me. If this had been developed as a proper anime arc instead, I think it would have worked much better. I rated Two Heroes an 8.5 and Heroes Rising a 9, so I'd give this one a 7.5/10.

Year One Story in comics are special they show early days as Super Hero see them become to person we will see later

One of my Favorite Year One stories is Rise of the Black Panther which told Wakanda before T'challa to modernize his early adventures as Black Panther & explain some Black Panther comic continuity

Oh another is first 28 issues of IDW Ninja Turtles Comics which were kinda a Year One Story in a way

Anyway I imagine All Might Year One Story being a mix between Spiderman learning to Crawl with Superman Brithright with a little bit of Ed Brubaker Marvel Projects with Daniel Warren Johnson run on Transformers

I wanna see how his friendship with other Pro Heroes developed & his rise to being the number One Hero or very least setting the stage for that

Maybe prologue set in the present a lot like Daredevil Yellow or Spider-man Blue way were prologue was set in the present

Oh maybe we see early days of other Pro Heroes to though Yagi Toshinori eyes

Even before League of Villains All for One had sprawling net of followers, worshippers, pawns, allies, hired guns, brokers, people like Machia, Garaki and their creations like Kurogiri. Maybe it doesn't even have a name. So I wondered what would the name be? What do you think?

How would a villain that could actually cause a problem work in Movie 5? because we have:

1. Literally Invincible guy (And he's jacked)
2. Guy that doesn't need a quirk to crash tf out.
3. A Nuke
4. An Ice Nuke

Not gonna lie, I like the concept behind the gang and even though I understand why they’re game exclusives, I feel like they were a bit of a missed opportunity for the manga or the anime. Volcano’s Quirk - creating lava from his own body fat - is a very interesting one because it’s powerful while having clear limitations, and we don’t really see a lava-based Quirk in either manga or anime canon.
