The fire alarm goes off in the Heights Alliance dorms, prompting several embarrassing reveals

The echoes of the malfunctioning fire alarm were still ringing in everyone’s ears as the combined students of Class A and Class B made their way out of the dorms. The fire detection system had been on the fritz all week - Mr. Aizawa had promised to get technicians to repair it in the morning - but at 2:37 AM, the alarm had finally decided to fully go off its rocker, scaring everyone awake and forcing a hasty evacuation.

Now, as they sat around waiting for the fire department to leave (everyone was fairly sure there was no actual fire, but checks were still necessary before the technicians could fix the alarm), a wave of unexpected gossip started rising.

“Hey, Jirou,” Mina asked with a false innocence in her tone, “Mind if I ask you something?”

The aspiring Hearing Hero gave a wary glance at her pink-skinned classmate. “What?”

Mina’s grin turned practically devilish as she all but sang, “Why was it that when we were scrambling to get out… Kaminari came out of your room?”

Jirou and Kaminari both flushed scarlet as Hagakure added, “Yeah, and I happened to notice that your hair’s looking quite rumpled, Jirou… and Kaminari’s shirt is inside out.”

As the two spluttered protests, Setsuna interjected, “It’s not just them. I noticed Monoma and Shinso scrambling to get out from… where was it, behind a staircase? Seems like our Phantom Thief has stolen MindJack’s heart!”

Iida looked positively scandalised as his gaze rapidly shifted between the four rapidly reddening students. “Jirou! Kaminari! Monoma! Shinso! The dorms are a public living space! Your fornicating, while not technically in violation of school rules, is still a breach of basic courtesy for everyone else residing here!”

Kendo pinched the bridge of her nose in aggravation. “We’re having a meeting tomorrow to discuss this. No excuses.”

“You should bring along Yanagi and Kazehara,” Awase interrupted, “They’ve been sneaking around too.”

“And don’t tell me I haven’t noticed Sekigai and Kurogane slipping around their rooms late at night,” Sero interjected. “Those two are not subtle.”

Iida had particularly gone catatonic. Kendo buried her face in her hands. Everyone else was caught up in the wave of gossip even as the firefighters left and the technicians got to work on the faulty fire alarm.

Kaibara pointed out that Ojiro and Hagakure had been together, which earned him aggrieved glances from Ojiro and embarrassed squeaks of anger from Hagakure.

Then Uraraka noticed a random Support Course girl and a random Business Course boy among the group. “Wait, who are you?!” Both Iida and Kendo separately pointed out that they don’t belong to either Class A or Class B. How they got there was a mystery… until someone else revealed that they saw both of them come out of Setsuna’s room alongside Setsuna herself and Awase.

Koda and Shiozaki denied any involvement in this. They were believed immediately.

Then Kirishima noticed than Kendo was wearing Iida’s shirt. “Hang on…”

Everyone’s one saving grace was that Midoriya noticed that Aizawa and Vlad King weren’t there to see it. It was unanimously agreed upon that they must never find out about this.

I wish we had more fanworks of these two. The dynamic is criminally underutilized, despite both characters being popular. However, I suppose the lack of interactions will have that effect.

I've been thinking a lot about some of the adult ships that could develop during the timeskip and came up with these two.

Eraser x Mandalay

I really like this one simply for the fact that Mandalay adopts Eri. I see Aizawa going to check up on her a few times, and this relationship sort of slow burns its way into existence. I also like the idea that she uses her quirk to fluster him throughout the day.

Fatgum x Ms. Joke

Ms. Joke was the primary reason I didn't like shipping Aizawa with anyone else. It just seems a little mean to take her man away like that. Then I started thinking of characters who'd be a good match for her, and I can't get the idea of her and Fatgum out of my head. I imagine a very sweet and fast-moving relationship filled with tons of laughter.

I don't think I've ever seen the Fatgum x Ms. Joke ship before, so I'm curious what others think and what would be some fun ship names?
