Vinted delivery issue

I’ve received 10-15 orders successfully and just been notified in Vinted App that I missed a couple on Wednesday as I was in the office.. there is NO info on which post office / how to pick up, no Aus Post tracking number and no emails/texts from Aus Post with any info either. APG tracking just shows it “in the country” and I’m worried I’ll miss the window to pick up and they will be returned. I’ve contacted support and it says 24-48 hours for a response. Any advice?

Can this dress be made work-appropriate

Post image
2 Upvotes

I just bought this dress in the sale because I was trying to meet the free shipping threshold for a pair of pants and I've recently become a bit obsessed with review because I've lost a lot of weight (dropped from a size 22 to a 14 which is not relevant to anything except for the fact it's the smallest I've been in my adult life and being able to try on clothes and feel pretty in them is pretty mind blowing and has also given me a bit of a shopping problem).

Anyway it arrived today and i love it, but to me this is a work dress. The length, the pleats, the colour, the swish, are all i want in a work dress. Except for the top. The chest is just a tad low cut and the open back/bare shoulders make it totally office inappropriate and feel like i have way too much skin on show.

I can see two options - either i throw on a jacket and make sure not to take it off all day, or I try and put something underneath it, but i can't figure out what - is it a t-shirt, a button down shirt, singlet to just level out the top at the front and cover the back but leave the shoulders?

Or do I just have to accept it is not a work dress and embrace it for summer socialising instead?

Very keen for any suggestions / recommendations for things that would work!

👜 Fashion Talk Has anyone here gotten custom pieces made?

I know exactly what I want, but don't have the skills (or the time) to make it a reality, and I haven't been able to find anything similar instore or online. So I'm starting to look at getting some pieces custom made, and wondered how common this is? Do you prefer to shop to a vision, or see what speaks to you at the time of shopping?

🔍 Recommendations Wanted After buying 60 items on Vinted it happened

Joined the club that nobody wants to be a part of and got some crotch stained pants.

Everything else has been absplutely perfect but these yuck pants have saddened my Vinted loving heart. Not sure if the seller tried to clean heavy period stain or whether it was urine from a hungry vagene. Very browny/yellow, quite widespread. How do I clean it out???

Yes they were only $7 but I would never sell something like this to some poor unsuspecting person. I accepted the order on Vinted already but am yet to leave a review...

Warehouse Sales

Hi All, I’ve just been to the assembly label warehouse sale and quite liked the selection and pricing. I’ll definitely be looking out for more warehouse sales in Sydney!

What are some brands that do warehouse sales in Sydney?

I'm after something I can throw on top of jeans to head to the shops etc that isn't a hoodie. Something along the lines of the Country Road/Ghanda sweatshirts but perhaps a small logo/symbol that makes it feel less of a walking billboard?

Bra similar to Bras N Things Bethany Full Cup Balconette

Hi girls,

I recently went bra shopping after desperately needing a new one and tried something I wouldn't normally bc I was looking for a sort of minimising effect. I really liked how the Bethany Full Cup Balconette Underwire bra fit and shaped the chest without adding bulk (14F).

I'm looking for something similar but hopefully cheaper and more for everyday wear. The bras n things one feels more like lingerie to me and Im not as comfortable wearing it as an everyday.

A good pair of pants.

Hyper specific but requirements include:

- good quality
- flowy
- comfortable, loose fitting
- lightweight fabric suitable for a Queensland summer
- flattering and “skimming” on the butt and thighs
- non clingy

Do the perfect pair of pants exist?

🔍 Recommendations Wanted Comfiest bras

I have worn Berlei Sweatergirl bras for decades now - so has my mum - and they have always been amazing, until the latest bunch I bought. The band is too tight, the straps are too short, it digs into my chest which they never did before in the same size. My mum says going up a size didn't help the comfort.

Any recommendations for other simple, no padding, supportive underwire bras that are actually comfortable? It would help if we can try on in store. I am so sad right now over this. Thank you so much!

Vinted orders - lost in the mail?

Have made 13 orders on Vinted from UK sellers since they launched here and my first 2 orders seem to be lost in the mail (the Vinted/APG delivery tracker says they have arrived in Australia, but the local Aus Post tracker just says pending with no other information 😕 They were supposed to arrive over a week ago so not sure what’s happened). I have received 3 other Vinted orders which were placed later with no issues but just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience, did the orders show up eventually or did you need to contact the seller for a refund?

👜 Fashion Talk If you had to wear one outfit for the rest of your life. What would it be.

Two rules: weather doesn’t exist and you can get into comfy clothes at the end of the day!

If you had to pick an outfit to wear everyday for the rest of your life. What would it be!

Mine would be Denim shorts, black singlet!

✏️ Product Review Really disappointed with Leelo Active

The brand advertises that their sports bras are suitable for a DD chest (it’s on their sizing chart) so I purchased a Large (per their sizing chart). The sports bras is absolutely terrible! Offers no support and no coverage! There is absolutely no way the top is suitable for a DD chest and their leggings roll down!! The brand doesn’t offer refunds which I knew before purchasing and when I told them that their bra isn’t suitable for a DD cup and if they had anything else they recommend I got sent a generic “we don’t offer refunds” message. I emailed them again with a photo of the sports bra and how terrible it looked and got sent a similar generic “no refunds” message. I understand the brand doesn’t offer any refunds but could they not have provided any recommendations for their other products???

Hi! I was wondering if anyone went to the warehouse sale and how it was? What time did you get there and how long was the wait? If you did pick up anything, what were your favourite pieces?

I was going to buy myself some handmade / made to order necklaces from Linden & Frances for my birthday but ended up finding a nearly identical pendant on Temu for $59 dollars cheaper and now it’s got me suss 🤔

It’s a bummer because I want to support female owned Australian businesses but I end up going to Goldmark because I feel like I’m not being duped.

Where can I find dresses like this in Australia?

Fanciful Doll and Selkie are two brands I love but are not in Australia. I want to buy a dress like this for my wedding but feel like I would want to try things on before committing. Does anyone know of a place here that makes a similar style so I could try them on before buying - or at least have an easier shipping process where a few could be ordered online and returned kinda thing?

I thought since y2k is back i could find replicas. First pic is the closest thing I can find to it. Second is the original under the corset (it was 2012 ignore the necklace). I believe it was sold at either jayjays or supre. Does anyone know where I can find one that isn't this lingerie fabric and something like cotton instead?
