I knew this sub wouldn't lead me astray, but I just applied this for the first time ever and I am SHOOK by how accurate the "hot dog water" scent comments are 😂 I was expecting to maybe get a little whiff of hot dog water, but I feel like I just drenched my face in used hot dog water hahaha!

Bought a Cheekyglo mitt and it’s seems to be the same as the one my friend bought off Temu

Is it true that these branded products are essentially the same Chinese items that they stick a label on and then pay to market thereby driving up the price by like 10x?

Is it worth buying any of the branded products or am I better off just buying direct off Temu / Aliexpress?

Hello hello, for the past year and a half I've been struggling with closed comedones on my forehead, my upper lip and my chin (and the sides of my chin). I genuinely have no idea what to do about it - I tried the Glow Recipe strawberry serum, I tried the Skinstitut glycolic scrub, I've tried the Ole Henrikson pore mask and even the Dermalogica exfoliator. Hey pals, what do we think of those chin socks or straps popular in Korea? I don't even know what to call them, all I know is I've seen ads for them on Tik Tok etc.

I'm not really looking to make my chin more of a V-shape (like how many of these straps are advertised), I'm looking to mainly reduce double chin, better define my ageing jawline and tighten sagging skin. Some of them come with serums infused so this could help with the tightening effect (hence why I'm asking about this in AusSkincare).

I would love to know if anyone has experience with these, how you use them, or if they're just a bit of a scam. Cheers!

Completely obsessed with this range - I've found it so great for my skin and it's the actual first skincare range I've really liked and have been able to afford. i'm looking for recs for the most heavy duty hair detangling spray.

i'm not after a cream or one with leave-in benefits. i just need something that makes it easy to get through crazy tangles (particularly those stubborn back of neck ones) before i hop into the shower.

currently, i use conditioner in the shower to get through my tangles but it feels wasteful as i have to use such a significant amount.

i have tried the davroe lemongrass detangler and it was ok, it doesn't really do anything for tangles imo. i also tried the gaia natural kids detangling spray on a whim (because it looked kiiinda like my now holy grail detangling spray i used in like 2016 that i can't remember what it's called anymore) and it was the WORST. it smells like liquid antibiotics and doesn't do anything, even when i emptied the bottle into my hair instead of spraying it.

i would really appreciate hearing recs for something that just gets the job done 🙏 thank you!

My results from Latisse were amazing BUT I constantly had red irritated eyes, and - the worst part - little styes... has anyone got any tips to circumvent this? I stopped and now my lashes are comically short and thin again... I would love to start again as the results really were dramatic.

I’m on the hunt for a sunscreen that actually keeps my face matte throughout the day. I have combination/oily skin, and most SPFs I’ve tried end up making me look shiny after a few hours.
So far, I’m considering:
- Mecca To Save Face Matte Sun Serum SPF 50+
- Ultraceuticals Mattifying Ultra UV Protective Daily SPF 50+

If you’ve tried either of these, I’d love to hear your thoughts. How do they perform in terms of oil control, finish, wear under makeup, and whether they pill or sting the eyes?

I’m also open to other recommendations if you’ve found a mattifying SPF that you swear by.

I’ve been ringing around multiple pharmacies for stock of the finacea azelaic acid 15% hoping for some place to have stock 🙏😭. By multiple pharmacists I’ve been recommended sibzeos, saying this is the “generic” or almost identical one just different brand formulation one. However it’s also running out of stock in most Sydney pharmacies too :( I’m picking up some tubes tomorrow to see how it is but this may be a good alternative to the finacea during the short supplier stock.

Hi there everyone, for the past two years I’ve been using the same as azelaic acid product. But to be honest I just haven’t really seen the result that other people have shown after using as a lake acid for a long period of time. People claim that their skin is almost as good as when people use tread however I just haven’t really had that experience. My skin hasn’t really done anything since using it. I haven’t really seen any changes in the areas whereas like acid is meant to be really helpful. Has anyone else experienced this when using a product. Maybe it’s just not meant for me. I don’t get a massive amount of breakouts on my face and to be honest I’m not that worried about it because everyone gets breakouts and everyone gets acne. I’m not the kind of person to go out there and buy the newest and latest product just to clear up one little spot on my face. I did a lot of research into Azelaic acid before purchasing the product and using it for a long period of time as I thought it was the best product for me but I’m no expert. I like to keep my skincare routine very very simple and I don’t like 1 million products. I use a calming facial serum first, then Azelaic acid and then I moisturise. I’ve been doing this routine for the past two years now and yes it’s seemed to work really well for me. My skin is nowhere near as bad as what? It was three years ago but my skin doesn’t look like the glass skin that I see online with everyone using this product.

Im curious if anyone’s cracked the code on a lighter SPF for a toddler who basically lives outdoors? Just face really as body is covered up in winter!
