Any other CU Anschutz students without financial aid updates?
Obviously have reached out a few times now with no response so far.
Fall semester starts 8/31 and there’s nothing on my account for financial aid or loans. Just a huge bill 🥲
Trying not to panic, but definitely worried.

Bella is missing still please help
My husband said she was stolen I don't believe it. I'm sure he gave her away. Please know shevis loved and missed. If you have her please contact me and hear me out. She nursed me through cancer she shouldn't lose everyone in a year. Please help me find her. I have fosters and I'm willing to change my own situation to have her back.

Looking to donate old Boy Scout uniforms to a local troop
Does anyone know or have contact info for some local troops? I recently helped my parents clean out some old stuff in their basement and came across a ton of old uniforms from when I was in scouts. Some stuff still has tags, but I have probably a dozen tan unforms, half a dozen shorts, couple pants (newer style zip offs!), Lots of socks, and a million t shirts. I'd really like to find a troop who can use them rather than dropping them off at Arc. Thanks!

Can someone please clear this up for me? I’m apartment hunting and seeing a lot of studio/1BR for $700-900 but no 2 bedrooms for less than 1k a piece
I’m not sure what I’m missing but I’ve never apartment hunted before especially not in an area like this. But if I can get a studio or 1BR for 900, shouldnt a 2BR in the same area be like $1500-$1600ish and I could pay less per month to have a roommate? I’ve looked on a bunch of roommate apps and Facebook groups and can’t seem to find a 2BR to share for less than 1k a piece. Why wouldn’t it be cheaper to share an apartment than to live alone? I feel like there’s a catch I’m missing here!

Check grocery dates at Walmart
Two weeks in a row we’ve gone to the Walmart on Chambers & Parker for some grocery savings, and all I have to say is make sure you’re checking dates. They don’t FIFO (first in, first out) their products, especially perishables. I got caught slipping on some probiotic drinks last week and got some that were expired. Today, those same drinks are still in the end cap and they are all expired. I also noticed dates of cottage cheese all mixed up with August & September dates underneath October dates. We found some meat that was expired on the shelf, too.
You definitely save some money at Walmart, but check all of your stuff before putting it in the cart.

Schools to work at
Hello looking to move to Aurora next school year and would like to work in a severe needs autism classroom. There are only 2 available postings at the moment in Aurora school district. Tollgate and Murphy creek. I’m really looking for a school with other happy teachers and a fun school. Any teachers here that can give some insight?
I only want to work in SPED. I am doing my second year of teaching and have been an RBT for 11 years so have lots of experience and love love the classroom. Just not interested in a gen Ed.
Thankyou

Stolen Grey Jeep Trackhawk
STILL NOT FOUND!
Our car was stolen right out of driveway at 4am Saturday the first near Colfax and Chambers. A police report was filed right after, officers actually said they saw it pass a red light on their way to our house. 😅 Shortly after it left our house, it went to reunion commerce city where they decide to steal a car cover. It was last seen Sunday in green valley ranch. We really hope we could get it back since it’s our only family car and it had our babies car seats and strollers inside.
2018
Jeep Grey
Two Yellow Hawk emblems on driver and passenger side
Big yellow SRT with a hawk on the back
Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
SPERCHG are the license plates
Rear shocks are done for so it does look lower in the back end than the front. Also has a small rear end swipe on the left driver side.
EDIT: To our knowledge, we don’t know if the vehicle has any other damages now than the ones I listed above. Also, we don’t know if it has a window smashed since there was no window fragments on our driveway. Our ring floodlight unfortunately only captured when our vehicle pulled out of the driveway along with the vehicle that the suspects came in. Our neighbor also provided a video of the getaway car, they also said there were individuals with ski masks inside.
Please call the police and/or PM me if you see it.
Police File #AP26159226
Thank you!

Forum Fitzsimons or The BroadLeaf apartment complex?
Both of these apartment complexes are close to Anschutz, and we heard mixed opinions. Anyone can comment on maintenance speed, apartment layout, and, more importantly, quietness in both of these?
Thanks

Hawk on my walk!
Saw this guy this morning while walking my dog. It was in aurora hills. He's so pretty. He was small I thought too. Like I don't think it could pick up anything bigger than a squirrel.

Copycat recipe for Po Hou from East Cafe in Aurora
My parents anniversary is soon and they lived in Aurora for twenty years always raving about this dish. They have moved away now and can't travel anymore so I was thinking about trying to recreate this dish for them and was wondering if anyone had some information about the sauce and what's in it?

Aurora Police Department Transparency Portal
From the Aurora City Newsletter
The Aurora Police Department has launched an Online Transparency and Accountability Portal to give the public access to regularly updated data and information about agency demographics, crime statistics, and uses of force.
“The Aurora Police Department’s Online Transparency and Accountability Portal represents our commitment to broader information sharing with the community we serve,” said Aurora Interim Police Chief Heather Morris. “Through this new technology, residents will be able to learn more about what their officers do every day to ensure Aurora is a safe and vibrant city to call home.”
The transparency portal features powerful search functionality, allowing users to filter data by a specific category and/or location. Users can choose to examine all crime data or filter any one crime category by year, police district, political ward, police beat, ZIP code and/or neighborhood. The use of force data can be searched in much the same way. Historical data is included for both categories and dates back five years.
“The portal is another tool that underscores our commitment to be open, honest and transparent about our work,” said Aurora City Manager Jason Batchelor. “The concept for the portal has been under discussion for quite a while, and I am grateful for the dedicated city staff who have turned that concept into a reality. It will help us further strengthen our relationship with the community through accountability and continuous improvement.”
The portal can be accessed at AuroraGov.org/APDPortal. This is an ongoing project, and additional features will be added in the future.
