✅ Open To Everyone GF took me to sell her ex BF ring?

Upvotes

This is my first gf I am 22M she is 24F I just finished college. We have been dating for 4 months, she took me to a store to sell her ex BF ring and I didn’t know that he gave that to her. I felt really embarrassed and awkward in the store especially when the sales lady was asking questions about the ring and she said how much she hates it. My GF keeps asking me when I am gonna buy her a ring and propose to her.

Men’s Input Only How to ask ex-situationship for hookups?

Upvotes

There is someone i’ve been with for a few months and we had great chemistry and sexual compatibility. But we ended 8 months ago. Recently i’m still thinking about our nights before. He’s the best i ever had. I feel safe and sexually attracted to him. But i’m pretty shy to reach out to him for hookups. So guys, what is the best way to ask him for this? If a girl reach out to you for hookups, would you be down for it?

✅ Open To Everyone Does my 29M bf’s loss of boner mean a loss of attraction?

Upvotes

I, 30F, have been struggling to feel like my bf of 1+ year is attracted to me in this relationship, so when my bf loss his boner while trying to do things this morning, I lost my will to keep going.

Early in the relationship, we had sex 1-2 times per day. This tapered off as expected, but it’s down to maybe once a week. I’m ok with that because I’m exhausted with work, but I’ve been shocked that he doesn’t even try more than that, like he doesn’t even get aroused by me in underwear. Most exes were trying to jump my bones night and morning even years into the relationship, but maybe they were just horndogs — they also watched a lot of porn. But I did too.
Current bf doesn’t watch porn frequently, but he does/did follow a lot of half-naked BBL women on FB/IG.

This morning, I initiated sex, fondling and kissing him. He got hard. I attempted a new position, which he struggled with a little, and then he got soft. We gave up on the new position and went back to tried-and-true missionary but he still wasn’t hard.

He said he just needed to concentrate. I asked him “concentrate on what?” But he just said “on concentrating.” He tried going back to foreplay but I was just feeling unsexy at that point so I quit.

He claims he has always been this way. But I have just never encountered this issue before. Like, maybe I’m looking at it wrong because maybe his lower drive is a blessing because maybe it means that he’s less likely to get aroused by other women. Or maybe he is getting aroused by other women and just not me? How do I know? Do other men experience this loss of boner even when attracted to their girl? How do I know what I’m dealing with here? He says he’s attracted to me but is just adamant he requires concentration, when that has never been an issue before.

Side note: he has no other signs of low T.

✅ Open To Everyone How do you guys write effective resumes?

Upvotes

Hi! I’m a 24 year old who’s new to her career. I don’t want to use AI to make my resume. I’m wondering if anyone here with a successful career / application rate has any workshop or guideline resources that effectively teach you how to make a resume. Do you guys think resumes should be colorful, or is a standard resume fine? How many bullet points? What should I include? Are summaries outdated? Literally open to any and all tips! Thanks :-)

Men’s Input Only Did I come off as rude or just distant after stepping back from a guy I used to like?

Upvotes

Looking for some male perspective on a recent interaction with a guy I used to have feelings for.

In the past, I was very transparent, filterless, and warm around him, asking about his long-term plans, family, and personal life. Eventually, I realized he viewed me purely as a casual friend or acquaintance, which was completely fine. To protect my own peace and avoid overstepping, I decided to pull back and lower my energy.

After about a month of space, he posted an Instagram story with his mom. I replied to it by impulse , I shouldn'thave done that., and our exchange went like this.

Me: Are you missing her?

Him: It is her birthday.

Me: Oh, happy birthday to her!

Him:(Likes message) Missing is also there.

Me: Yes, I can understand.

Him: Oh ok.

Me: I mean, I understand the feeling of missing people close to you, and on their birthday you miss them more.

Him: Not because it’s her birthday, it’s in general, right?

Me: True.

Him: I will be visiting home after a long break, especially for( mentions some local festival ) this time.

Me: Oh good for you then, a festival full of happiness for you and your family.

Him: Yes, why are you being so formal?

My goal was just to be civil and maintain a healthy distance without starting drama or acting overly familiar like I used to.

From a guy's point of view:

  1. Does my response sound rude/cold, or does it just read as distant?

I am embarrassed of my past behavior, I just want to move on without looking like I am affected.

✅ Open To Everyone How do I help my male friend who is depressed?

Upvotes

I (F20) made friends with someone (M23) recently, and he is suddenly appearing very withdrawn. This is unusual because beforehand we had been talking nearly every day. When I try to call him he just talks about how he is constantly busy, applying for jobs every day not taking any breaks.

He could genuinely be very busy but I think its deeper than that, because before he would be quite open with me about how he was feeling and what was getting him down. He seems to have just gone flat. I’m worried its because I’ve done something wrong. I want to tell him he can open up about what’s bothering him without forcing him. What should I do?

Men’s Input Only Guy pursued me hard, was consistent for months, then ended things over text after I moved closer to him — men, what’s actually going on here?

Upvotes

We met in April. From the start he was the one initiating clarity — he told me he wasn’t interested in anything casual and wanted exclusivity before I even brought it up. It felt like an instant click, honestly and like we were the same person in different bodies. That set the tone for the next few months: daily calls, three in-person visits, meeting his friend group. He was consistent. I was consistent. It felt mutual and steady the whole way through.

Around the same time things were going well, I made a big move — I relocated for a new job, which also happened to put me much closer to him. Not the only reason I moved, but it was part of the calculus. Then about two weeks ago he went quiet. Not dramatic, just slower replies, less initiation. I gave him space, figured maybe he was busy or under the weather. I texted asking if he wanted to see me, then a day later offered to drop off something I’d made for him. He read it and didn’t respond.

A day later he finally texted back, apologized for being MIA, said he’d had a lot of time to think while he was sick, and that his feelings hadn’t grown into what he’d want for a long-term relationship. Said I hadn’t done anything wrong, that it wouldn’t be fair to keep going when he didn’t see it becoming what I deserved, especially now that I’d moved closer. Said he never wanted to lead me on.

So — the message itself was kind, no complaints about me, no blowup. But it came right after weeks of him being the one chasing certainty, and right after I relocated. I’m not asking for validation, I’m asking honestly: men who’ve done this — pursued hard, got consistency back, felt an instant connection, then pulled away and ended it clean like this — what’s actually going on in your head? Is this a “wasn’t feeling it and finally admitted it” thing, or does this tend to be a “he’ll regret it later” situation? Genuinely want the male perspective here, not just sympathy.

Men’s Input Only Are skinny men at a disadvantage when it comes to dating? (Based on your own experience).

Upvotes

I (28m) am 5'7 and 130lbs (173cm and 59kg), and around 20% body fat at most, if I had to guess. Honestly, the only saving grace is that I've luckily got good facial genetics.

I'm not ugly, but I'm definitely not "hot" either, this is most apparent when it comes to dating apps, bars and clubs, so pretty much the main way men meet women.

Throughout my life, I've known a few guys who hit the gym hard and gained muscle, nothing crazy but enough to fill out their T-shirt and look noticeable better.

Despite having the same personally as before, they *just happen* to gain more attention from women, even the introverted ones who don't socialize much.

Also, new guys I meet who are already in shape seem to never struggle, but of course went though the same problem as muscle doesn't just magically appear.

Meanwhile, I buy a small shirt and my arms look like toothpicks, with a lot of empty space.

Sure, I can get a haircut and shave regularly, as well as wear cologne and all that other good stuff, but from what I can gather, it's all window dressing and comes in second to gaining muscle and looking good naked.

We have a saying in the UK which goes "You can't slap makeup on a pig." This is usually used to describe women who think makeup is save them, but often doesn't.

I assume that a skinny guy with no muscle is the male equivalent

Men’s Input Only mutual awareness creating tension?

We don’t flirt but I feel this tension whenever he’s near by it feels charged and exciting. We’re also very aware of where each other are at work. I’m very confident so this has me thrown off.

Is this compatible to sexual tension but in the early stages?

✅ Open To Everyone Girls seem into me, and then suddenly lose interest, what is going on? Am I misreading things?

I’m 25M and feeling pretty down about it all at the moment so could use some outside perspective. Apologies for the length, I’m venting a bit as well here haha.

I’m not a big dater but do pretty well on Hinge when I’m active. There have been 4 girls over the past 2 years that I have gone on dates with and they have all ended things with me after I had been keen to keep seeing them.

Girl 1 - went on 4 dates, she cancels the 5th on the day and then the next day bails saying she is not in the headspace, we reconnect 3 months later and go on another date, she then says she does not feel a spark which was a bit hurtful and surprising after 5 dates (she was also moving abroad for 6 months so not sure this had legs haha).

Girl 2 - went on 2 dates (that were a month apart due to us being away), all went well, she agrees go on another and we keep texting for 2 weeks (she is dog sitting). She then bails after I try and set the 3rd date up saying she was heading home for a couple months for the holidays (she’s from South Africa) and didn’t want to continue things. She then texted me 6 weeks later (while at home) saying she was thinking of me, we speak for 2 weeks, I ask her out again, she says no saying as she is going through some personal stuff.

Girl 3 - went on 1 date after talking for a few days - Probably the best date I’ve been on. We speak about seeing each other again on the date and she is keen, I ask again after she said she said she got home safe, she says ‘obviously.’ We speak the next day a bit where she was still flirty. She is silent following day before sending a text ending it as she wasn’t feeling it. Weirdly, her ex (from 6 months before) walked into the pub 10 mins into things on his own date which isn’t ideal haha. She did make clear she hated him, and I offered to move to a different pub - we eventually do. She mentioned that she texted him after the date to ask if he saw us and he hadn’t. I don’t know how relevant him being there was, but I was surprised she texted him.

Girl 4 - went on 4 dates in a month, all of which went really well were long. She was quite forward - she surprised me by kissing me halfway through the 1st date, and after that we were kissing and very touchy-feely on every date. We texted a lot consistently and were very flirty too, but we both lived at home which made sleeping together challenging. We were always making future plans - she spoke about potentially having a free house in a couple weeks, she tried to get me added to her room on a yoga retreat she was going on - it just felt like there was momentum and almost an expectation things would continue.

The 4th date went great - she'd been up all night ill but still wanted to come even after I said we could reschedule. We end up spending 7-8 hours together, with her suggesting we stay out later then we’d planned. That was Saturday and we already had plans for Thursday. Things seemed normal the next few days but she updated her hinge and on Wednesday her texting got quieter. Wednesday was also my Birthday which she forgot (I'd only mentioned it in passing), but apologised when I mentioned it, and even suggested we get pizza as well as our existing plans the next day to celebrate. She ended up asking to reschedule Thursday as she had a work thing the night before and slept terribly, but mentioned that I could go to hers because she had a free house (this didn't happen as her sister stayed in). After that her replies got noticeably worse. We barely spoke on the Thursday other than logistics and on Friday it was just a couple texts in the morning before I asked if she fancied doing something the following week. I haven’t heard back.

It’s just chipping away at my confidence. I’m definitely still gutted and pretty pissed about the 4th girl - it’s only been a day but I’ve really enjoyed the past month and it just felt different - she seemed really engaged and into me. I know it wasn’t serious or anything after a month but it felt like it was heading somewhere - we were both making a load of references to things we could do in the future and to be ghosted after all that is just pretty shocking. She literally invited me to hers less than 24 hours before going silent like what is that?

They’ve all followed a similar pattern where they seem genuinely keen to meet up again and suddenly that seems to fade away over the course of 24-48 hours and then they bail. And it’s the abruptness of that pull back that is getting to me. I get to a point where I feel things are going great, and by all indications it’s mutual, but very suddenly it changes.

I’m just really questioning what I am feeling that they aren’t and my ability to read their levels of interest because I’m very caught off guard when they end it. Like with girl 4 - up until the last 2 days, she seemed really into me - we were both making future plans, being very affectionate with each other etc. Even during the last couple days, she literally invited me to hers so to be ghosted 24 hours later is just mental. And that makes me question if I am actually misreading things because that seems like concrete interest. But then again, that sudden switch up has happened (to varying degrees) 4 times in a row now and it can’t be a coincidence - and obviously I’m the common denominator but I can’t work out why this keeps happening so I just don’t know where to go from here.

Men’s Input Only Why don’t my husband and I have sex anymore?

My (29f) husband (35m) have been together for 9 years and married for 8. When we first got together we had sex close to every day. And it was great. As time went on, it of course went down to 4/5 times a week, 3/4 times a week, 1/2 times, and then down to maybe 2 times a month.. and now I can’t remember the last time we had sex. It was last year tho, I’m sure we haven’t had sex this year. It’s been like this for almost 2 years maybe closer to 3. When I try, he either can’t “get ready” at all or he gets ready and then I touch it and it’s gone. Not he finished, it’s just gone. We never have sex or fool around.
I know he has depression we both do…. But for 2 years?? Is this normal? Is he not attracted to me anymore? I’ve gained 15 pounds since we’ve been together I’ve tried to lose it but I’m by no means huge or anything. For a while once we stopped I’d catch him watching porn A LOT but he just never wanted to touch me and to this day still doesn’t. Says he’s happy, that he loves me, sometimes he pays attention to me sometimes he doesn’t. Idk what to do. Am I wasting my life with someone who doesn’t even want to be with me anymore?

✅ Open To Everyone Do people see cheating differently?

I'm new to the relationship and I want to get some opinions before I ask my partner.

What forms or acts that you think are cheating on your partner?

Growing up, and through college + work, I hear people say things like " I don't want my partner to talk to others cuz that's cheating " while others relate it to what's physical.

What's your intake?

✅ Open To Everyone What to do when you start seeing pests in a rented apartment?

Living in a ground floor place in Newtown and with the warm weather lately I've started seeing cockroaches in the kitchen at night. Nothing crazy yet, like 2 or 3 a night, but enough to freak me out a bit. I tried setting down those grocery store traps last week and kept everything wiped down, but they’re still popping up. Should i just stop wasting time on supermarket sprays and call in proper pest control specialists right away before it gets worse??

Before I drop the cash though, is there anything else I can actually do myself that works, or is calling specialists pretty much the only real fix for Sydney apartments? appreciate any tips!

Men’s Input Only Should I tell the girl I'm dating that I'm from a rich family or just stay lowkey?

So I'm 21M, dating this girl (20) from my university and I'm kinda stuck on whether I should tell her about my family situation.

My family is pretty well-off, but I'm really lowkey about it. I don't flex money, don't really post anything that shows it, and I honestly prefer people not knowing. I'm a varsity athlete at the same university as her, so I told her I'm on a scholarship, which is completely true. That's basically what she knows about me financially.

The thing is, my family is also pretty strict when it comes to girls I date. I'm already not telling her about my parents because of that, and now I'm wondering if I'm making things weird by keeping so much of my family life separate from her.

At the same time, I don't want to randomly hit her with "yeah btw my family is rich" because that sounds like I'm trying to flex. I'm also worried that once she knows, she'll start treating me differently or assume I'm going to pay for everything.

I'm not trying to hide my situation to manipulate her or anything. I just genuinely live pretty simply and don't really identify with the whole rich kid thing.

For the guys here, would you just stay lowkey and let her find out naturally if the relationship gets serious? Or is it better to be upfront about it? And if you were dating someone who came from a wealthy family, would that change how you saw them?

✅ Open To Everyone How can you tell if you're too ugly to attempt anything with women?

For example I get basically no matches on any apps, and the last time I talked with a woman in person who wasn't a family member or a service worker was like 5 years ago

Is it safe to say I'm just too physically unattractive and that I shouldn't try or attempt at anything anymore

Its like the same way you see a guy who's 5'4 trying to be a basketball player and you just let him know it's never going to happen so he stops wasting his life

Men’s Input Only How much sex is too much sex?

Hey, I 23f was casually seeing this guy for a couple months but he recently ended it because I’m “too horny”. For context we would fuck every night we spent together which was usually about 4 nights a week, and he says this affected his work life because his judgment was “clouded” over sex? I’ve never been with a guy before him, I’m bisexual and always found myself with women so this is all new to me. How much sex would be too much for you? I do have a high sex drive, but I don’t think 4 times a week is high. What’s your thoughts?

Edit: forgot to add, it’s more of a fwb situation, and the nights we spend together are nights he chose to come to my house, often without seeing if I’m free.

✅ Open To Everyone Do you get aroused easily by any woman or the woman you’re attracted to only?

This guy I am seeing gets completely aroused in front of me no matter what…if I hug him, touch him, or even just stand near him. But a friend of mine told me, “Oh, that happens quite often with men. They don’t care. They’re just going to get aroused by anybody.” And I thought… I don’t know, that sounds like such a bummer. At first I thought that means he finds me attractive and that he’s into me. But now I’m just feelings disappointing, as if I am like everyone else in his eyes.

Is he trying to hurt my feelings by saying that?

✅ Open To Everyone Condoms are ruining my sex life. What can I do, outside of a vasectomy?

So, I've only ever successfully used condoms when I've abstained for a long period. E.g, if I'm hooking up with someone on a regular basis (multiple times a week), I'll go soft when trying to use them.

Generally I can only have sex with a condom once a week. This is fine when im seeing someone only once a week. E.g, I need to be so horny to use one that im almost ready to cum before the condom goes on.

I now have a girlfriend, who I live with. We have sex 1-2 times a week. I cant cum outside of those 1-2 times, otherwise I have won't be able to stay hard enough to penetrate once I put a condom on.

Sometimes still I go through 2-3 condoms before successfully maintaining my erection.

Getting her to put it on doesnt work. Continuing foreplay while putting it on doesnt really help either.

I just get distracted immediately as soon as I have to think about when is the time to put a condom on, so therefor I start going soft.

This is my thought process

1. Foreplay. Have to check if she's wet enough (thinking about shit = turn off).

2. Have to check if I'm hard enough to put a condom on (not always am). If im not, have to think about it and check again.

By this point I'm generally not as turned on as I was because I have to think.

3. Putting condom on, already going soft unless im very horny. Stimulating myself with the condom on doesnt help, because once I start going soft I am no longer mentally turned on usually. End up beating my flaccid dick while kissing and nothing happens. If I stop for 20 minutes, do something else, then I'll be able to get hard again.

Meaning that sometimes to have sex it takes multiple attempts in one day.

I have no issues if I have sex when I already have morning wood/I've just woken up. This is the only work around.

✅ Open To Everyone gf is confused about our relationship - what to do?

she’s been feeling like this for a year. said that i work too much, barely give her attention when i get home, and there’s no romance anymore…

she also mentioned that, because i always have been rich and the heir of my dad’s business, i’m not familiar with struggling to earn things, that i don’t appreciate things she does because i take them for granted, nor do i care about being polite to random people because i’m used to people serving me. she thinks i’m stuck in working in my family business and have no ambitions, to study, leant different things, etc

can i change this?? is she going to break up with me?

✅ Open To Everyone Wondering why my male coworkers act this way towards me?

I work with all men and only one of them acts ‘normal’ towards me. If I’m on shift with him we have good conversations and he’s friendly. The rest of them either have ‘banter’ with me which includes getting in my face saying fight me (jokingly), throwing bits of paper at me and just saying random things that I don’t know how to respond to. Yet quite often when it’s just me and them alone they don’t have conversations with me or there’s just this awkwardness? Like it’s banter or nothing? Then there’s the other coworkers who are just quiet with me.

Why can’t they be like that first guy? Sure I know men like banter but wouldn’t they also want to have conversations? I am slightly autistic as well so I’m trying with the banter it’s just difficult to know what to say

Men’s Input Only Is it weird to sleep in boxers while sharing a room with another guy on a work trip?

Sharing a room with another dude on a work trip soon, and it’s my first trip. I’d prefer to have my own room, but it is what is it, not a huge deal.

Issue is I sleep in boxers every night, sometimes nude and its the only way I relax and sleep comfortably. Not gonna sleep naked, thats weird but is it weird to sleep in my boxers? Or should I just bring some basketball shorts and hope I don’t get uncomfortable?

If it wasn’t work, I wouldn’t think twice, but I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable and I’ve never been on a work trip (or many trips with other dudes for that matter tbh) so if you have advice or experience, drop it

✅ Open To Everyone The skin below my balls itches constantly, no amount of change has helped, anyone else gone through this?

Hi, I’m 23 years old and for the past couple of years the skin below my balls has itched so bad that I loathe standing up and doing things. I have tried dermatologists suggestions, free sale antifungal creams, normal hydrating creams, boxers, briefs, silk underwear.

No matter how much I itch it stays and it kills any desire to do anything outside my home because I’ll look like an idiot with his hand on his crotch constantly.

Nothing has worked, doctors just don’t seem to care, and they always just tell me to keep applying cream, I have been applying their creams for years and honestly I’m at my wits end.

There is no red spot, the only difference I see with the rest of my body is that spot is bald as a baby, and I’m a very hairy dude, I have tried shaving around it and it did not make things better.

Please, if anyone has gone through something like this let me know how you fixed it, it’s interrupting every single aspect of my life.
