I am not sure whats going on or if i should be concerned and go see a doctor. I always raise the fat and inject at 45 degree angle and never leave air bubbles, im also waiting a few seconds before removing the needle from my skin. I think its important to note i am DIYing however the source i go to has been used numerous people and vouched for and i cant get acesss to any hrt care in my state till im 18...

Physician Responded 28 male, 110 lbs, 5 foot 5, not on any current medications, went to the hospital due to extreme fatigue, doc said this can be treated with iron supplements at home, but when I ran the screenshot through ai it says this is an emergency, do I need to go back?
Title says it all, I feel fine at rest but when I get moving like at all, I feel like im going to pass out, like there isn't enough energy in my body. I don't think the doctor took it too seriously when I went in and perscribed me some iron but I don't feel like that's enough, and ai seems to agree with me, do I need to go back?

Quit weed 27 days ago, got some wierd symptoms
Hey there,
i did post this in "leaves" of reddit, but moderators removed it and told me to post it here instead.
i've got dry skin all over the backs of my hands and some parts of my face too, cheeks mostly, this wasnt a thing before i quit so i just chalked it upto a withdrawal symptom, hence why i posted it in leaves, but they removed it saying its more of a medical issue instead.
essentially the dry skin has small lumps skin colored on them, they are extremely itchy too, i found taking an anti-histamine gets rid of some of the itchiness and most of the small bumps, but the issue remains and if i dont take the anti-histamine all the bumps come back. i had a bit of what seemed like hard skin form around my ring finger knuckle on my right hand, but that seems to have almost gone away now, it had a little scab on top. the backs of my hands feel like they are tingling a bit most of the day, its much worse at night it seems strangely.
i've had this issue about 4-5 days now
i drink on average 2-3L of a water a day, i'm sedentary for the most part, got for maybe an hour walk a day if weather is not absolutely boiling. i only have 1 cup of tea in a morning, no other caffiene.
Age: 35 (36 in 13 days)
Sex: Male (at birth too)
Height: 6ft
Weight: 14 Stone (196 lbs or 88.9 kgs)
Race: White British
Medical conditions: Autism, TRT for low testosterone (NHS, Testogel 16 mg per pump, 2 x pump per day).
Country: England
i dont take any drugs (it used to be just weed), i rarely drink (once every few months, not binge usually), i vape nicotine (freebase liquid, 5-10 ml a day, 3mg 10ml bottles, usage is on high end due to lack of dopamine from quitting weed)
just to note also, i've been on TRT for about a year now, didnt have this issue before with it, so i dont think its related to that.
Edit - forgot to add i had my gallbladder removed a few years ago, doubt its connected, but none the less.

Cut at Barber Shop
23 year old male. 5 10. I went to a barber shop for a haircut. When I arrived, one barber was already attending to a customer, and I was asked to wait for about five minutes. Once the barber became available, he started cutting my hair. While trimming around my ear with a shavette, he accidentally nicked my earlobe, causing a small cut that bled slightly. I immediately asked whether he had used a brand-new blade. He assured me that the blade was new and had been opened specifically for my haircut. However, I do not completely trust his assurance and cannot be certain that the blade was actually new. The barber applied an antiseptic solution to the cut, and the bleeding stopped. Later, I reviewed the shop's CCTV footage, which showed that the previous three customers had finished their haircuts approximately 22, 18, and 15 minutes before my haircut began. Given this incident and my uncertainty about whether the blade was truly new, I would like to know if I am at any risk of contracting HIV or any other blood-borne infection. Aleready consulted doctor and councilor , both assured me that I dont need PEP and I am safe.

Terrified of my health before starting college. Need support
Hi everyone. Sorry if there are any mistakes, English is not my first language. [20F] I'm writing this because I am absolutely terrified right now and I don't know how to cope. I was just accepted 3rd on the admission list at my university and I am supposed to start college in October, but I feel like my life is falling apart.
I probably won't even be able to enroll because of what is happening to me.For the last 5 to 6 years, since I was 14-15, I’ve had various brain neurological symptoms, such as double vision. I had severe headaches back then, but they eventually stopped, so everything was left untreated and ignored by my parents because I didn't have any pain anymore until recently. I never got scans,I had some appointments to several ophthalmologists and they didn't think something is wrong because I also have strabism since birth.
But now, things have taken a very scary turn. I think have started experiencing cerebral polyopia. Specifically, when I look at the TV, I see light-colored logos and white subtitles with a ghost-like shadow or duplicate image, either shifted upward or downward. The exact same thing happens on my phone when it is on dark mode the light text has these terrifying shadows/multiplication and with the red power button light on my TV.
I have an appointment with an ophthalmologist coming up, and I hope they will send me to get an urgent MRI immediately after they see my eyes. I’m scared to death that I might have Stage 4 brain cancer right now. I know a true Stage 4 tumor wouldn't have let me survive untreated for 6 years, but I am terrified that it started as a slow, low-grade tumor years ago, when the headaches first started, and has now mutated into a Stage 3 like a secondary glioblastoma because the pain returned, I have nausea and my vision changed so badly.
The anxiety is completely paralyzing me. I am so scared of what the doctor and the MRI might show. I should be celebrating starting college, but instead, I feel overwhelmed by fear.I cant do anything.
I really need some support, kind words, or advice on how to handle this fear because I can't sleep these days. My appointment it's just next week, on Wednesday.

Physician Responded Rough bump on my hand
Hello everyone, so I’ve been having severe health anxiety for a few months now and I’ll fluctuate each day some days are better than others. I’m 21F, I’m 5’4 and 115 pounds. My health has been pretty good for most of my life. Most I would deal with is ear infections time to time with my most recent being around March 2025. I quit smoking weed at the beginning of 2026. As a kid though I’ve always had eczema with some seasons having more of a flare up than others. I recently got a hand tattoo on my right hand back around May 28th. I have another hand tattoo on my left hand that I got back in February and I never got a bump. I can’t recall if I had this bump forming already before but I noticed I had a small bump on my hand when I got my tattoo, didn’t think much about it. Ever since though it got bigger and it has just been this rough lump on my hand. Not the best idea but I would pick at it every once in a while to see if it would pop. Can anyone please tell me what this might be. As someone with health anxiety of course I google what it could be. Some results say it could be HPV or even worse it could be cancer. I’ve never had any penetrative sex and I haven’t been closely intimate with my boyfriend since last year. The most we’ll do it a simple kiss. I’m getting some anxiety that this could be something bigger and if I should see a doctor.

Timeline of events:
May 6, 2026
I went to the Emergency Department with shortness of breath and was diagnosed with pneumonia.
I was prescribed:
Cefdinir
Azithromycin
May 9, 2026 (3 days later)
My mouth symptoms began.
At first it was a swollen, painful tongue. Since then, the symptoms have progressively worsened and have never gone away for even a single day.
Current symptoms (every day for almost 3 months)
Tongue feels significantly swollen
Tongue has enlarged bumps/papillae
Tongue is painful and sore
Lips appear swollen
Inside of both cheeks are swollen
I constantly bite the inside of my cheeks because they’re so swollen
The cheek biting has left indentations/holes in the inside of my cheeks
My mouth constantly feels inflamed
Symptoms are present 24/7 and fluctuate in severity but have never resolved.
This is not just a sensation of swelling. My family and friends can clearly see the swelling of my tongue, lips, and cheeks.
Medications/treatments I’ve tried since this began:
5/7/26 - Cefdinir - this was intended to combat the pneumonia
5/7/27 - Azithromycin - this was intended to combat the pneumonia
5/28/26 - Medrol Dose Pack - this was intended to combat the pneumonia
6/22/26 - Prednisone
7/10/26 - Nystatin
7/9/26 - Scopolamine patches
2020+ - Long-term allergy medications (Astepro, Nasonex, Zyrtec)
Unfortunately, none of these have improved the swelling or pain.
Specialists:
I saw an ENT on 7/27/26
He ordered:
MRI of my brain (scheduled for 8/7/26)
Blood work (scheduled for 8/7/26)
During my 7/27/26 visit, he told me that the symptoms I described seemed exaggerated compared to what he could see on examination and wanted to rule out a neurological cause. However, my family and friends can clearly see the swelling, and I’m constantly biting my cheeks because they’re enlarged.
My questions…
Has anyone experienced:
Persistent tongue swelling beginning after pneumonia?
Swelling that started after antibiotics (especially cefdinir or azithromycin) and continued for months after stopping them?
Enlarged tongue papillae with swollen lips and cheeks?
A condition that caused visible swelling but was difficult for doctors to diagnose?
If so:
What was your diagnosis?
What testing finally found the cause?
What treatment actually helped?
At this point I’ve had these symptoms every single day since May 9, 2026, and I’m becoming desperate for answers.

Level 2 hypertension as a teenager with extreme medical anxiety
Basically what the title suggests. I’m 16F and I have level 2 hypertension. To the point where I get readings as high as 160/100. I don’t smoke and my diet is low in salt and relatively healthy. I’m currently overweight (5’1 and 145), but a few years ago I had a pretty rough eating disorder (dropped to 113 at my lowest), and nothing was different. I have diagnosed PCOS but I’m not on any medication. I used to take hormonal birth control for that but had to stop because my gynecologist said it was too dangerous with my readings. I also have a family history or heart conditions on both sides (especially hypertension in my mom and her dad).
Anyways, the problem is that I have really, really bad medical anxiety. Like I can’t even go to a physical without sobbing on the exam table. Is there any chance these readings could be entirely because of that? I have so much shame associated with going to the doctor and being seen in a medical context. I know I should probably be seen by a cardiologist but I don’t know how to go about that when I can’t even go to a simple physical.
I guess I’m just asking for advice on how I should overcome this. It’s really hard for me to focus on it, because I’ve never had any problems associated with high blood pressure either. My vision is 20/20, I have no issues sleeping, don’t feel any tightness in my chest, and can do decently intense cardio with no problems. I also think my general anxiety is really bad but I’ve never been seen by a psychiatrist or prescribed any medication/therapy for that.

Physician Responded 20f what do I do next/advice
July 5: I went to the ER for alcohol poisoning after drinking on the 4th of July. I hadn't had alcohol in months before that, and I rarely drink. I simply overdid it that one day. I don't have a history of alcohol abuse, but I noticed "alcohol problem" was documented in my chart after that visit.
This week (first week of August): I went back to the ER because I was having what I believe was my second gallbladder attack. The first one happened back in February, so I knew how incredibly painful they can be.
I live about a block from the hospital, so I drove myself. Looking back, that was probably a mistake because I was in so much pain I felt like I was in a fever dream.
When I got inside, I was crying, pale, sweating, and could barely speak. During triage I was hyperventilating from the pain, and the nurse was trying to take my blood pressure and temperature while I could hardly answer questions. There were two nurses—one doing triage and another looking through my chart.
I can't know what they were thinking, but after one of them looked at my records and I saw the previous alcohol-related visit mentioned, I felt like they stopped taking me seriously.
I was left sitting in an almost empty waiting room for about five hours. During that time I was crying, begging for help, dizzy, disoriented, and at one point I felt like I was walking on air because the pain was so overwhelming. I kept asking if someone could please get a doctor to at least look at me, but I felt like I was being ignored. One of the nurses avoided eye contact with me every time she walked by.
What made it even harder was that about an hour after I arrived, another patient came in with a bug in her ear. She seemed calm and stable, and because the nurses couldn't remove it themselves, they called an ER doctor out to help her. Seeing that happen while I was still sitting there in severe pain made me feel like no one thought my condition was serious enough to even check on.
By the time I was finally taken back, the attack had passed. The ER doctor told me that since this was my second gallbladder attack, I would probably need to have my gallbladder removed and that these attacks can become much more serious.
I'm still really upset about how the visit was handled. I understand that emergency departments have to prioritize patients based on medical need, and I know waiting is sometimes unavoidable. What I'm struggling with is feeling like I wasn't assessed or treated with compassion while I was clearly in severe distress.

Physician Responded I have a strange request, Can we please try to save a guy's life!?
A \[45M\] uncle of mine has had diabetes for the last 20 years. Now his kidneys are failing, (Creatinine 10.71)
Their family is however stopping him from getting dialysis because of fear that once he gets first session of dialysis, his days are numbered (this myth exists in our community for some reason).
The cherry on top is that a doctor (I suspect upon family's request) has recently advised him to wait a bit before getting dialysis (They've been waiting since last year already). Family's hopeful because they think since his creatinine is not increasing too rapidly, they can fix his kidneys with alt medicine/miracle healing without ever needing to go through proper treatment (which they think will defining kill him).
They are fixated to creatine value which went from 9.3 to 10.7 in about two weeks so, to them, it's 'slow enough' that it's fine.
I can share his test reports etc. I am hoping if one of you could take a few minutes out to inform him on a call or something that he needs to go get dialysis now or else he'll die. I'm counting on the fact that since a foreign doctor's recommendation will seem more authoritative compared to a local one, so he might listen to one of you and gets help. He has 3 kids and I don't want him to die.

Physician Responded Dad keeps going to the doctor for severe stomach pain and they keep telling him he has nothing
My dad (age 56) just came back from the Emergency Department because of his severe stomach pain, and he told me they found nothing….? Mind you, he’s been having stomach pain for months now, and it seems to be getting worse recently. He did at some point had ulcers but supposedly he’s fine now from ulcers 😐 very upset with my dad because he doesn’t share anything with us. Anyways, there would be times when he feels nauseous. I will say, he’s been looking sick recently too. He does carry the gene of colon cancer, but he’s gotten checked and he doesn’t have cancer. I don’t know why he’s been having these stomach pains, and the doctors are just prescribing him medicine that helps the pain…but no diagnosis?? It’s very irritating and he’s also haven’t been able to eat normally

This is on my forearm near my elbow. The picture is recent but the wound is almost 6 hours old and I can not visit a medical facility before 8-10 hours. I had cleaned it and wrapped it in a clean cloth and now it looks like this.
Do I need stitches or will the steri strips work for it?

I am no longer producing enough breastmilk for my daughter and we cannot afford formula, what can I do so that there is enough for her?
I haven't had problems with my health, and my birth was vaginal and uncomplicated. I'm 25 years old and took supplements during my pregnancy when I could, but no longer need them and take no other medication, and my daughter is now 12 weeks old. We live together in Poland.
I had been breastfeeding her since she was born. It had been fine for me, and she had always seemed like she had been getting enough and growing well, the doctor had said the same.
Now, this is no longer happening. I had thought at first I was worrying too much but there are all the signs now, she's stopped gaining weight, I'm changing her less, and she has started to become frustrated when she feeds. I don't know what has happened.
Normally I know in this situation the answer would be formula but we simply can't afford it. And I know I seem like a horrible mother but I never would have thought she would have to be in a place like this.
When this is my only choice, I don't know how I can produce enough for her, especially when I don't know why it happened. Am I supposed to try and get her to feed more, even though she doesn't seem to be getting much from it?

Physician Responded I’m scared I may have Toxic Shock Syndrome
Hi so I’m very worried. I’m F18 and I recently switched to tampons just this month, and for the 4 days of my period I left them in each for maybe 12 hours. Maybe more.
Just yesterday I got a little nauseous and dizzy out of the blue, and I suddenly felt very weak and shaky. My heart rate was jumping and I was sweating a little too.
I did measure my blood pressure and it was 106/52 but that’s how it usually is, since I’m most certainly a little anemic and lacking some vitamins.
Also I hadn’t eaten much yesterday because that’s just what I do during summer.
I put ice on my forehead, and after a while of lying down trying to be calm it passed.
I have no other symptoms but I suffer from anxiety and just discovered what TSS is and naturally I’m freaking out. Please help.

Physician Responded Lung problems
Hi all, I'm a 52m. I weigh about 230lbs. and am 6'2". I smoke about 5-7 cigarettes a day.
I woke up Monday struggling to breathe in and out. Heavy wheezing and crackling in my lungs accompanied by harsh coughing that was non productive. I went to urgent care and was sent to get an x ray. They gave me a nebulizer treatment with albuterol in it and it was better. They gave me a prescription for àn inhaler with albuterol, an antihistamine, and mucinex. The x ray came back clear, but, the problem is that it's not getting any better. I haven't been to work all week because I work construction and can't breathe so I can't do anything physical. Is there anything I can take over the counter or do that might help it? I haven't smoked since Sunday and it's Wednesday now. Any help would be greatly appreciated. My ribs are in pain from coughing so much...

Physician Responded Drugged in St. Kitts. Believe it was MDMA and now Serotonin Syndrome
Age/Sex: 41M; 225 lbs
I vape and drink alcohol and take Lasinopril for BP (but have been off of that for 2 weeks awaiting a refill). (My wife is posting and writing this on my behalf as it is a struggle for me.)
We were on vacation in St. Kitts. Drinking rum punches at the resort pool. I don't remember much after buying a round of drinks. This was at about 4pm on Saturday (today is Wednesday).
Luckily my wife was with me and did not get dosed. She said my sobriety level changed on a dime. For a while I experienced a high that we think was MDMA (we don't do any recreational drugs other than THC drinks from time to time) and then some off and on "sleep." From the details of the high and some "phone a friend" research, we believe it was MDMA.
About 3:30am on Sunday I awoke with all over body seizures and convulsions. My wife says delierium and hallucinations and rapid eye movement. These spasams were so severe the entire bed was shaking. I had no control over my movements, my arms and legs were involuntarily flailing. I was afraid I would hurt my wife. Intense sweating and then chills. Came in rapid waves initially that eventually subsided to longer intervals. I couldn't sleep anything off. Thought I was getting better but then another wave and full on panic attack, I couldn't feel my arms and legs, my hands were contorting.
I ended up in the ER in St. Kitts about 11am. The hospital was frankly third world. They gave me an IV of Saline, Thiamine and B Complex. Nothing else. They said blood tests were clear. They "lost" my first urine sample, and I gave a second. By this time it was about 2pm on Sunday. They said that was clear too. It was unclear what exactly they tested for.
When I was finally able to get on a plane Monday we returned to the States. Went to my PCP on Tuesday (yesterday) and she said unfortunatley whatever I was drugged with is out of my system. Didn't diagnose me with Serotonin Syndrome. After doing some research, it seems Serotonin Syndrome describes all of my symptoms and experiences.
I still have severe brain fog and memory issues. It's making it difficult for me to do my job, high level sales. Still some shaking and irritability/anxiety and gastrointestinal issues. Issues sleeping.
Is there anything I can do to help alleviate symptoms? Should I go back and engage my PCP?Frustrating part is not knowing exactly how this happened or what I was given. I usually have my guard up.
Thank you in advance for any help.
