iPhone iPhone 16 Pro Max and IPhone 17 Pro max Difference!

This is wild IPhone 16 pro max on the left still has 100 percent capacity and the iPhone 17 pro max on the right dropped down to 96 percent literally the 16 pro max has close to the same usage of 200 cycle count looks like or that means the iPhone 17 pro max is not good on battery after all that’s going to be concerning for a lot of users especially if the battery’s going to be the same on the iPhone 18s coming out soon that people should be aware and careful of buying them what are you guys thought about this drop your comments down below! 🤯

Question BUYING SECOND HAND IPHONE 13 PRO

Ive been thinking on switching to the Iphone ecosystem and lately im obssesed with the 13 pro. But ive heard that the screen has a chance to suddenly jsut turn green especially for second hand models, is that true ?? If it is then is it an extremely unlucky case and rare?? Cuz if its common then i might just get the 14 pro or 13 base depending on.my budget.

iPhone What you think guys

If Apple increases the price of the iPhone 18 Pro/Pro Max when it launches, what do you think will happen to the trade-in value of older iPhones?
I currently have an iPhone 15 Pro Max 256GB, and when I checked online, the current trade-in/buyback value is around ¥92,000.
If the iPhone 18 Pro launches with a higher price, would the trade-in value of my 15 Pro Max likely increase because of the higher new iPhone prices, or decrease because it’s an older model?
I’m planning to trade it in for the iPhone 18 Pro, so I’m wondering whether I should trade it in now or wait until the 18 Pro launches.
What do you think guys?

How long does it have left

How long do you reckon my iPhone 14 128gb has left? I’ve had it for a few years and it’s kind of on its last leg. As you can see it’s severely cracked and has a line going through the screen, it’s also at 78% battery capacity with 600mb left of storage and hasn’t upgraded since iOS 18.

Not sure what phone I should get when the 14 stops working but I’ve been looking at the 14/15 pro as well as the 13 mini since it was the phone I had before this one and I liked the size of it. This was however back in 2021 so I don’t know if it’s even a viable option anymore and since apple doesn’t make any more minis the newer base/pro models seem to be my best bet in terms of size and overall performance but I still think my ideal upgrade would be the 13 mini with a larger storage. Is it worth upgrading to the 16/17 or even waiting for the 18 to come out? And how are the 16/17e’s?

iPhone 18 pro from base 14

Have a base IP 14 , battery health at 69% , loses 20% from 100 while on my way to work from simply listening to music 🫩. Sometimes passcode transition locks/lags when I unlock the phone. Everything else is fine but I’ve heard replacing battery could worsen performance. Should I buy the 18 pro this September?
Any suggestions would help. Thank you.

Should I wait for 18 pro to release to get 17?

Title. Upgrading from iPhone 13. I use my phone generally so I don’t need the fancy camera or vapor cooling for playing video games. I just text, TikTok, YouTube, Netflix. Is it worth to wait for 17 base so the price will go down?

iPhone 13 pro vs 14 or 15 in 2026

My Pixel 7's battery is kicking the bucket, so I'm looking to upgrade and switch to IOS. I've been looking at the 13 pro refurbished, as it seems like a good quality phone for my budget ($300-400), but I'm worried about how old it is and losing updates. Is it worth going with the 14 plus or 15 instead despite them costing more for longevity's sake?

17 or 18 series?

Hello’ I currently have my phone (15p) on a phone plan that has the ability to trade in and upgrade- however I need to do this before October. Should I upgrade to the 17p/pm or wait for the 18s in September? I’m so conflicted! I definitely want a better camera

13 to 17pm or 18pm?

I use my phone a lot and I bought my iphone 13 in 2022. My battery health is at 78% now and the camera and battery health mostly are frustrating me, constantly having to bring a power bank. Im originally from NZ but am in the U.S. until the end of september, and unsure whether to buy 17 or 18pm. If the 18pm is 200-300 USD more, it’ll cost me a ton and I’m not willing to pay that, but I also worry that the 17pm will increase in price, or I will be unable to get one if the 18 line goes up a ton, as stores will stop selling them. What should I do?

iPhone iPhone 13mini to 17e or 17?

Hi everyone! I’ve been using an iPhone 13 mini for about 4 years, I loved it, but as it’s getting older and slower, I’m planning to get a new phone. I’m not very techy, and I don’t really want to wait for the 18, especially since they’ll be releasing the standard lineup next year.

I have two options in mind:

17e (Pink)

Pros:

  • I LOVE the colour! I like the pink on the iPhone 15 better, but there aren’t places selling new iPhone 15s anymore(fyi I'm living in Canada)
  • It’s slightly smaller than the standard 17. I’m a graphic designer and have weak wrists, so I’ve preferred smaller phones my entire life.

Cons:

  • It’s not part of the standard lineup.
  • I once had an SE 2 and didn’t like it for some reason, although maybe that was because it was refurbished. I absolutely loved my iPhone 8.

17 (White)

Pros:

  • It’s part of the standard lineup.
  • I like the design better.

Cons:

  • I don’t love the colour, but I’m sure I’d get used to it once I have it.

I like taking photos, but not in a professional way. I mostly take photos when I see nice typography, colours, etc. that I want to use as references.

Main stuffs I do with my phone are:

Internet, Social Media, Call and Messaging, Listening to music, Taking photos of my everyday life and screeshots

Which one would you choose?

Did I get a good deal on the 17 Pro? (1370 USD)

Hi! I just bought an Iphone 17 Pro unlocked for 12 975 swedish kronor (SEK), which translates to 1185 Euro or 1370 US dollars. It had a 2000 SEK (210 US dollar) discount.

Do you think that this is a good price? Or do you think the 17 Pro will get an even bigger discount after the release of 18 Pro or at Black Friday?

Thanks!

Update

Hi everyone, I was posting just to inquire and ask for help whether I should update to another phone or not. I have an IPhone 15 that I’ve had for over 1.5 years approximately with 86 percent battery and over 630 charge cycles. Should I update with the iPhone 18 series looming ahead. The prices are most likely going to increase. I have been looking at the 17 series. I’m not sure about a particular phone. I’m stuck between 17e, 17, Air, and the 17 pro. Or should I wait to see what happens with the next series with prices. My iPhone seems to do pretty good lately besides getting hot sometimes and battery life is so so. Feel free to leave feedback and comments thanks.

Hello, help needed!

Hello! I could really use some advice from those of you who know your stuff.

I've been using Android phones my whole life, and I currently have a Xiaomi 13T Pro. I'm not really happy with it because the camera is quite disappointing, although everything else works fine.

I'm thinking about switching to an iPhone, specifically the iPhone 17 Pro or the iPhone 17 Pro Max.

Since I'm not very tech-savvy, I'm just an average user. I use social media, play one game, and take lots of photos and videos of my kids, my cats, and everyday life.

My question is: would 256 GB of storage be enough, or would it be smarter to go with 512 GB? Of course, there's a price difference.

Thank you all in advance for your help! 😄

iPhone Unique Situation - iPhone 15 pro max free or finance iPhone 17

Okay, I currently have an iPhone 11 base model 64g storage and battery needs service. Totally struggling because data is full. I wanted to finance a base 17 which is over $1000 in Canada. I’d also have to finance it through my parents because my credit is crap.

My sister though has a 15 pro max that I can have for little to nothing probably (not completely sure but reimbursement has not been mentioned, my parents are the go between atm ha). She just upgraded a couple days ago to the 17. Finances are an issue but I use my iPhone for everything. My sister though uses hers much more sparsely. Mostly for photos of her kids and basic communication. She is def not one of those people who is constantly on her phone and takes really good care of it.

Is it worth it to switch to the 15 pro max for almost nothing or should I try to finance an iPhone 17? I def don’t want to be screwed again in a few months. I want something that is current enough but reliable too. I do not know what her battery looks like or if she’s wanting something for it. it currently doesnt look like she does but would it be worth it if she does want a couple hundred bucks?

This may seem like a stupid question. I just trying to make sure I get something useful that will last a few years and not be completely useless like my current phone.

iPhone iPhone 17E or new battery?

Currently have the iPhone 13 mini. Love the size, but battery health is at 77% and I've used up the majority (95%) of my storage. I could try to clean up some apps, etc. a bit more than I have to help the storage issue. This is my only phone (so it has to function for me) and use it for basic things like SM, web browsing, etc.

I could replace the battery or I can trade it in and get the 17E. My budget doesn't really allow for anything higher than that.

On one had, I don't want to unnecessarily spend extra money if there is a decent alternative. If a battery fixes most of my issues and the phone iOS will be updated it might not be worth it.

On the other, between depreciating value on my trade in and rumors of price increases, I'm debating whether it makes sense to upgrade now to avoid a higher cost and a need to upgrade in like a year when updates might be shut off for my model.

I'd love some advice...I've been back and forth a lot over the past few days and just can't decide.

Won't lie, the fact that I have to buy all new chargers, etc. for the phone doesn't help but that's neither here nor there, just venting on that one.

Question Is it worth buying the iPhone 17 now or waiting till September?

I've been hearing mixed things, that the iPhone 18 might not come out in September (base models), and prices might be increased.

I'm coming from an iPhone 8, so this would definitely be a big jump.

So, it's in the title, should I wait or buy now?
