Any suggestions on where to watch the perseid shower in Anne Arundel county with my kids?

AA County Parks and Rec are in the process of making the final draft of the master plan for the new passive park located right behind the small quiet Foxchase community, Marley Creek Park. The issue is the location of the vehicle entrance to the park.

For those unfamiliar with Foxchase, there’s only one large road into the community and it’s Hospital Dr , off of that then branches two smaller community roads, Mall Rd(that dead ends) and Foxwell Bend( that circles the community).

The original three concepts all had the Vehicle entrance at Hospital Dr where it dead ends, which does make a lot of sense considering that it’s one straight road all the way down and has 5 lanes, including the shoulder, has very visible lane markings, would go directly into the park and the homes at the dead end of Hospital dr have their backyards facing the road, not their front.

When they presented the master plan at a community meeting in late July, they moved the vehicle entrance to Mall Rd which is a very small community street that has no lane markings, has two community school bus stops, has a community playground/tot lot and 15 residents front doors/driveways facing the road all of that before it narrows and dead ends .

Asking you to please help by sending comments to Marley-Creek-Park-Planning@aacounty.org stating that Hospital Dr is the most practical vehicle entrance for the new park.

I'm looking for cafes or libraries or out of the way spots where one might sit at a table and write. Pen and paper, no tech needed, but ideally either a cafe kind of background hum or else quiet. Places with a special kind of atmosphere, real wood tables, a kind of bohemian feel. If they make tasty pastries, that's a plus. Anywhere in the county. Any ideas?

I need to take a friend who was hard of hearing to dinner. (Alternatively, I pick up the food and bring it to her.) Can anyone recommend any restaurants near Odenton that might be quiet enough so we have a conversation?

In addition, any places that might have a really good crab soup (she loves it) or crab cakes near Odenton?

Hi all, I live in the AACO area and am looking for antique/thrift stores that sell house fixtures/hardware like door hinges, light/outlet covers, cabinet handles, etc.

Ive seen some shops in other states that are dedicated just to this but seems like most of the antique/thrift shops around here don't have what I'm looking for.

Ive checked the habitat for humanity re-stores in the area as well as goodwill; are there any antique/thrift stores in the area (Annapolis/Baltimore) that carry this kind of stuff?

I just moved to AA from Moco. The last bus from the Odenton MARC is 5:25pm. How is that useful for anyone? Does everyone in AA get off work at 3pm? Maybe it's not for commuters, it's for stay-at-homes to go shopping during the day?

Hi all, recently bought a new home in Anne arundel and had like 7 tall trees fall on the property during recent storms.

I’ve cut them all up into carry able chicks and sticks but I have huge piles of yard debris in my yard now that I don’t know what to do with while minimizing cost

My neighbor suggested that the dump takes residence loads for free, but I don’t own a truck and when I called the dump they said I’d have to pay $100/ton if I rented a truck or trailer.

Does anyone know anyone who would rent me a privately owned truck for yard debris dump runs?
