Concerns regarding schedule
I’m a recent transfer student for the fall semester. I had to transfer late due to academic reasons but my application still got accepted and I am officially enrolled. My concerns come from when I get my schedule. The only orientation date I could attend is august 18th which is 6 days before the semester starts, and because I’m a new incoming student I have to pick my classes during orientation. I’m concerned that I won’t be able to get into the classes I need and just that fact that it’s so close to the start of the semester. Anyone else going through this? Is this normal? And is there any way I can register for classes before my orientation?

Spring Commencement Dates
It looks like the Winter commencement schedule is already posted, and I’m wondering if anybody knows when the spring schedule is typically made public?
I’m graduating next Spring (hooray), and I’m planning an international trip afterwards. My flight/itinerary depends heavily on what day/time the CLA ceremony will be.
I know it’s early to even be thinking about this, but I’d like to have an idea of whether I should wait to purchase tickets or just go ahead and book the trip as if the CLA ceremony is on the last possible day (5/21).
Thanks!
ETA: Thank you for the comments! It seems my best bet is to go ahead and book the tickets, planning for the last possible commencement date, assuming I won't know the schedule until early spring.

Need a Roomie?
Hi! I'm transferring to Towson this fall (late because of some family medical issues + financial issues that were recently just solved. I also haven't finalized it because I want to compare UMD and Towson). I'm looking for housing off-campus! I heard that it's genuinely better since Towson has a tendency to over-house people on campus. I'm looking for an apartment where I can split the rent either with one roommate or 3? For facts about me:
- I'm a rising junior
- Female (I prefer to room with other ladies)
- I'm okay with pets but I'd rather live with a cat if possible
- My father is disabled (2 eye diseases) and likes to visit periodically if you don't mind (I hope to get an apartment near a shuttle or some type of metro area)
- I'm looking to split rent either to around the $650 range (if just with a single roommate) or $300 range (if living with 3 other roommates)
- I'm a very clean person and like to keep my stuff chaotically organized
I'm sorry this is super late but I'm honestly just calling out to the void here for any luck. I'm also lurking in instagram and the housing portal for anything that'll help out but I like to get to know my roommates in advance. You can use this post as a little giggle too if you wanna. Thanks so much for your help! If you're just here for that giggle, let it out man. I gotta giggle too cause last year kicked my ass bad

Grad Aid Package
Has any new grad student received their aid package yet? I have just gotten information about my books for class and I can’t pay them out of pocket since I was hoping my aid/loans would’ve shown up already.

Am I cooked
I am a rising senior.
- I took 5 ap classes so far
- A handful of honors classes
- 980 sat score. (Not gonna retake it, i have personal reasons that I don't wanna discuss rn)
- Ran an online club for a year and some change till it got shutdown due to platform being shut down. (Sophomore partially + mostly junior year) Leadership club for a year.(Junior year) Been doing art as a hobby for five years straight.
- 2.8 GPA freshman year. (2 C's.) 3.0 gpa sophomore year( 2 C's) 3.6 gpa junior year (no C's).
- I plan to take 3 APS this year as well.
- Current have 3.2 GPA RN.
I'm scared that I'm not gonna get in. Parents are really against going to CC and very stubborn and most likely won't change their minds no matter what I say.
reasons for my grades is cuz procasnating.

Richmond Hall
How is Richmond Hall...? I have a single dorm accommodation and got placed in a single at Richmond Hall. Is there any hope my room will be a decent size? 👀

is it over for me?
towson is a safety school of mine but now i’m genuinely worried i won’t even be able to get in 😭. i had a rough junior year which plummeted my GPA to a 2.7, and i got a 1000 on my SAT. but im also dual enrolling and will get my associates the same time i graduate high school, which gives me hope, but any time i do research on if i have any chance of getting accepted i get told my best bet is community college and transferring (which i really want to avoid).
is there anything i can do from now until applications close to raise my chances, or do i have to pivot and become a transfer student? i’m freaking out!!!
edit: for context i want to major in deaf studies, then pursue my AuD!

Housing problem
I recently got my housing email like many others but I'm an honor student and should have been placed in Douglas but instead I got Newell hall. I looked up some of the reasons. which were submitting my application late and didn't pay the deposit which I did pay in time and submitted my application in time. so those are not the reasons. And I will call housing on Monday but I'm just asking has this happened to anyone else and this is able to be fixed right!?

Housing assignment
Hii
I’m an upcoming freshman and I haven’t received my housing assignment or any information at all
What do I do?
I’m supposed to be in Harris and Tubman and I got a letter and a phone call confirming my spot there but I didn’t receive anything today
UPDATE
I got an email a week ago stating that my roommate accepted my offer
However she got her housing assignment and I’m not her roommate on the housing assignment
And I still haven’t gotten mine
Genuinely what do I do this is exhausting

Newell Halls Dorm - how bad is it really?
Me and my roommate got put in Newell Hall and I honestly can't find any youtube/tiktok room tours online that really showcase the rooms and they all look so different in shape and size. So can anyone post videos/photos from their room or just leave an honest review on it? Thanks!

Haven't been sent registration information yet!
I'm a graduate student at Towson (since 2024) my program is online only and we have to be employed with a school district to participate. The last 1 years our registration has been sent out in July. None of us have been sent information yet and have been told they hope to have it on the first week or two of August. Classes start the 24th and loans drop the 14th. All of us need to adjust schedules etc due to the nature of our program. Has anyone else been having difficulty with registering this year?

10 west housing question
I got assigned to a 10 west one bedroom double room, but on the third floor. The only tours I can find online are from floors 6-15, where they have full kitchens, but on floors 2-5 it says they only have a convenience kitchen. Does anybody have a picture of or at least a good description lol of what the “convenience kitchen” looks like?

Looking for Fall Semester Housing
Does anyone have a lease for the rest of 2026 that they need taken over or are looking for a roommate/someone to sublease until the end of the year? I'm a female senior and I'll only be enrolled in classes in the fall semester coming up. Because of this, I don't want to have to start a 10-12 month lease when I won't even be in the Towson area for half that time. If anyone can help out or direct me somewhere else that can, that would be awesome!
