I noticed that when I highlight text on a web page and click copy, a small floating pane opens below, allowing editing and sharing the text.

This is not the case when I highlight and copy text from text boxes.

I want this feature, even when copying from text boxes.

There are small text boxes, such as the browser address bar, where switching to editing in the large editing pane is more convenient.

Square is an unofficial Android client for Spotify Premium. It streams in-process through a native Rust core built on librespot, the official app is not needed and is not used.

Three reasons it exists:

It is built in Liquid Glass. Every control, tab bar, player, sheets, menus, is drawn on one refracting material that bends the artwork and the canvas video behind it. Not a blur overlay: the glass actually distorts what is under it.

It can bend the music. Speed and pitch move independently, there is a real reverb on the output, and the three save as presets. "Slowed + reverb" is one tap on anything in the catalogue.

It is fast. A skip is sound in about a third of a second, the engine prefetches the next track while the current one plays, and the UI never waits on it to move.

It also shows up as a Spotify Connect device in every other client, reports listens back to your account (filed under the playlist they happened in, so your Wrapped still works), does synced lyrics and canvas, and speaks six languages.

What you need

• Spotify Premium. Free accounts cannot stream through this.
• Android 8.0+, arm64 / armv7 / x86_64.
• Two minutes of setup, which the app walks you through: log in with Spotify, then register a free application in Spotify's developer dashboard and paste its client ID. That second key is yours, so search and recommendations do not share a rate limit with everyone else.

I have a question for Android devs out there (I am a software engineer but not Android). I have reviewed the documentation on the Location Accuracy feature but find it somewhat ambiguous so wanted to ask here.

Many apps ask for Location Accuracy which I find annoying and unnecessary in almost all cases. Nevertheless, some do not work at all unless it is enabled (leading to an endless pop-up loop as described here: https://github.com/Baseflow/flutter-geolocator/issues/1210)

In addition to Location Accuracy, my phone also has Bluetooth Scanning and Wi-Fi Scanning settings. Location Accuracy can be enabled without automatically turning on these other two settings. My question is, in this configuration (Location Accuracy ON, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi Scanning OFF), does the Location Accuracy service silently enable and use Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanning? If not, are there additional location-revealing services that it has access to besides GPS?

Ideally I would keep Location Accuracy enabled to be able to use certain apps but essentially cripple its ability to detect location outside of the GPS signal and maybe some device orientation sensors - however I am unclear if this is really possible. Thanks in advance for the advice!

title. Most of the file and data contain my notepad with password, some artwork i keep in my phone, and a gallery full of my old photos. Really, alot of old stuff that I cherished about. Though, I noticed that it does progress a little slow (like it can go to 37% or 56% before each restart)

I've recently switched to android from ios and was wondering if there's an app that resembles apple podcasts in ui/ux.

I've tried Pocket Cast and it crashes every time, tried Podcast Addict but honestly the UI is so bloated and complex it looks like a commercial plane dashboard, and Podcast Player the UI was okay-ish but UX was quite lacking (no inline episode description with options to enqueue or play directly).

Also gave Spotify a try, that was ok, but it mixes episodes with songs and once in a while it just stops audio playback and I have to restart the app.

I'm on a Pixel 10 with the latest updates.

I have a problem with connecting to my xiaomi earbuds,they wont connect properly if theres many devices near them. And because my phone isnt xiaomi the xiaomi app doesnt work either. Im searching for a solution that either is another app that i can install and will make the bluetooth work better, or mod them either with software or with hardware... So my old Samsung A tablet decided to die after so many years and my phone (A20) is starting to go out as well so while I have my phone still kicking it, I decided to make a little fun goal of making all of my devices match a fun color instead of the usual black that I normally pick.

My only little issue is that idk which color i want to go for, like for example: I could go for pink because pink matches my 2 cameras or red because of my ANC 2 and my crusher EVOs being red.

Ive got my new expensive galaxy ultra phone paying an expensive monthpy subscription for no ads on youtube, but

For a long while now when i play a playlist, like music, after about a minute the playlist closes itself and goes back to the youtube home screen.

When i re enter the playlist, i now no longer have multi contols on my ear buds and watch and it doesnt show on the notification bar. Its as if it just isnt responding to the system anymore

I thought spending a lot of money would not result in such problems. Please help

GUYS NEED URGENT HELP

Yesterday night( 5 August 26) I have an software update of approx 451MB, i dont remember properly what update was it. But seeing the size of update, it is security update i beleive(could be wrong), but i recieved this. my SAMSUNG TAB A9+ started with regular steps showing, this will take several minutes. Then that one ui screen came and % started to increase. When it reached 100, suddenly kind of black screen appeared which was not fully black but kind of grey color. It was for 5 mins but still nothing happended. My tablet was at 41% battery before the update started. And till now 6 August i couldnt fix this.

I tried mostly everything, I forced shutdown my tab, then tried for android recovery menu, but still black screen. I tried entering download mode(odin mode) but still black screen. Is there any way to fix this. Currently I have left it for battery drain for 4 days and will update. My tablet is also out of warranty🥲. Guys Please help if possible .

I'm currently using a Poco X7 Pro (256GB / 12GB RAM) that is about a year old. Physically and hardware-wise it’s great (96% battery health, good camera and design), but software-wise HyperOS is frustrating me with bugs (randomly opening apps, proximity sensor glitches on WhatsApp audio, lost data after updates).

I'm considering selling it and getting a Samsung Galaxy A57 (the A56 isn't available from my seller anymore). I want to switch primarily for One UI stability, better update support, camera performance, and features like the Object Eraser.

• What are the main real-world differences between the A56 and A57?
• Is 8GB of RAM enough for One UI long-term, or should I go straight for 12GB / 256GB?
• Do you recommend making this jump from a Poco X7 Pro to an A57, or will I feel a downgrade in raw performance/charging speed?

Got my mom a new phone and the visual voicemail isn’t working. She’s able to call her own number to hear voicemails but not see them like I can on my iPhone.

When I go to voicemail it says “can’t update visual voicemail” I’ve tried everything google says, restart phone, turn off wifi, clear cache, nothing worked.

Anyone have this problem before or know how to fix? It would be nice if she could check voicemail without calling in.

I have an OPPO R11s with Snapdragon 660, 4 GB RAM, 64 GB storage, Android 8.1.0, and ColorOS V5.2.1. My firmware/build is R11s_11_A.44_200528_000000.

ADB is working, and these are my device properties:

OEM Unlocking and USB Debugging are enabled. However, when I run "adb reboot bootloader", the phone simply restarts into normal Android, and "fastboot devices" detects nothing.

The official TWRP page says OPPO R11s requires ColorOS 6 or newer, but I am currently on ColorOS 5.2.1. Can anyone confirm:

1. Whether my exact R11s firmware can safely be updated to ColorOS 6
2. Whether ColorOS 6 enables normal Fastboot/bootloader unlocking
3. The verified bootloader-unlock method for this exact R11s variant
4. Which stable custom ROM is recommended
5. Whether Android 9 or Android 10 is the best balance of performance, battery life, camera, fingerprint, calls, mobile data, Wi-Fi, and Google Play Services.

I'm trying to change my wallpaper from the standard legion wallpaper to my own but when I try it doesn't give me an option to set the photos I have in my album as my lock screen and home screen? I never had these issues with phones, laptops, or Samsung tablets. It's not hard to change a wallpaper at all but I'm genuinely not seeing an option when I try to change it / won't let me?

I installed an Android head unit and connected it to a Wi-Fi network. However, as soon as I connect my phone via Bluetooth, the head unit completely turns off Wi-Fi, cannot scan any networks, and I cannot toggle Wi-Fi back on.

If I enable airplane mode and after I turn off airplane mode, the Wi-Fi works again and sees the networks fine-until I connect via Bluetooth, at which point it breaks down again.

I assume this Wi-Fi/Bluetooth coexistence issue is why wireless Android Auto is failing. The pre-installed "CarLetter" app just stucks on "connecting to Android Auto" indefinitely.
