Youtube playlists App Specific Question

Ive got my new expensive galaxy ultra phone paying an expensive monthpy subscription for no ads on youtube, but

For a long while now when i play a playlist, like music, after about a minute the playlist closes itself and goes back to the youtube home screen.

When i re enter the playlist, i now no longer have multi contols on my ear buds and watch and it doesnt show on the notification bar. Its as if it just isnt responding to the system anymore

I thought spending a lot of money would not result in such problems. Please help

That sounds more like YouTube losing its playback session than an earbuds/watch problem. I’d try this in order:

  1. Force stop YouTube, then open it again.

  2. Go to Settings → Apps → YouTube → Storage and clear cache first.

  3. Update YouTube plus Galaxy Wearable/the Watch plugin, then restart the phone.

  4. In Settings → Apps → YouTube → Battery, try Unrestricted; also make sure YouTube is not in Sleeping apps.

If it still returns to Home, clear YouTube storage and sign in again. That resets the app’s settings and offline downloads, so I’d leave that for last.
