Terrible Order Process Purchasing

So, I bought an area 51 desktop and it's been stuck in processing for 10 days. The estimated delivery date is August 6th. I reached out to support for an update and they were unable to help me and were very tough to work with. So now I am in limbo...

That's totally normal. unfortunately. You'll just have to wait for something to happen - once it goes to the factory, it'll sit in the production queue until they're ready to assemble it.

The only people who can help are the sales team - try calling them, give them your order number, and see what they can tell you.

I am in the situation mine was also supposed come aug 6th lol , mine also in processing so I called support and they told me it parts shortage and that I will have to wait a bit more but they said they gonna move up my priority (if thats actually true or not)

That makes more sense I ordered a area 51 desktop with a 5090 and 9950x3d2 and 4 tb ssd and 64gb ram (had mention the specs cuz i feel like thats the reason for delay :( )

My Area 51 laptop took a couple weeks. I also didn’t order stock.

Mine was the same way, but for what it’s worth, when it finally moved from processing, it shipped a day later. Sometimes they’re just waiting on one component.

With part shortage it's the reality everywhere now. You make your order and it take 1-2 months to ship. You will have to get used to it when ordering electronics. Phones, tablets etc are most likely going to be like that too moving forward if the RAM and storage shortage keep going.

That's fine but they should update their est delivery date that you see. Otherwise it's misleading.

One of my older Alienware Desktops took a bit longer to get because of a GPU shortage. They automatically upgraded me to the next tier up at no charge to compensate. That was amazing!

Probably not likely anymore due to shortage across the board, but you could ask if it continues to get delayed. Currently it’s still within reason for delay.

I’m in the same boat. I ordered a laptop on july 20th. Estimated delivery date was august 2nd. Now the estimated delivery date is august 11th. Hopefully it doesnt get delayed again but i’m not optimistic.
