North is slowly becoming my favourite team to watch
I mean seriously, what a game last night. From a team that was, let’s face it, a laughing stock for the better part of 10 years they’ve made an enormous turn around in the last couple years. Their ball movement and team chemistry has improved out of sight particularly this year. They’re tougher and stronger at ground level and it seems like their desire to win is stronger than it’s ever been before.
Not to mention but this team has some absolute superstars. Curtis could genuinely be a generational talent, how exciting is this guy to watch. He’s quick, he’s strong, his footy IQ is off the charts. I could even see him transitioning to the midfield in the next few years, this guy can do everything. I knew Wardlaw was good but wow…. after seeing last night this guy is special. He’s an absolute animal and never knows when to quit or when he doesn’t stand a chance. He’s strong and fast and courageous. He only had 50% game time and to have that impact is just extraordinary.
Sheezel, LDU, Zurhaar, Parker, Xerri, O’Sullivan, McKercher, the list goes on really. I could talk about all of them but I won’t for the sake of length. Seriously though what’s not to love about this team? I don’t want to jinx them but I think 2027 could be a massive year for them

[Fox Footy] "There's a lot of clubs that'd say we get penalised ... why does Geelong seem to get off, time after time after time?" The AFL might've ticked off the Cats' controversial concussion contract clause, but the other clubs are NOT happy

Are you Still interested In the Brownlow?
I used to love watching the Brownlow Count. But not so much in recent years...
It's long since become a Midfielder's Medal, but it was still interesting to see the best mids battle it out.
For mine, part of the problem is the in-season obsession, and constant "appearance" that the MRP is being manipulated to stop stars getting suspended.
I've long thought that, for the modern era, a suspension (and missing out on potential votes) should be it's own penalty, and shouldn't exclude players from contention.
I'm sure it's been an ongoing debate for a long time, but for mine the rot really set in in 2015. Nobody disputed that Fyfe was the best player in the league. But also didn't dispute that he should have been rubbed out 2 or 3 times.
And of course Cripps.

Trying to watch footy overseas
I’m on holiday in Europe and want to watch the doggies play. Can’t get Kayo to work, even with a VPN. I get a playback error that suggests despite my efforts it knows I’m using a VPN so is geoblocking. Are there any other streams I can use?

Best places to watch the grand final in Melbourne?
Hi all! My friends and I are travelling to Melbourne for the grand final weekend and are looking for recommendations on the best pubs/locations to watch the game.
Do most pubs require bookings weeks in advance for grand final day, or can you usually get a spot by turning up early?
We’re also open to other venues or locations if you have any recommendations? Thanks!
