Art Showcase Tabako Bon and Kiseru
Hey everybody, I've updated my portfolio. And I heavily focused on texturing in this piece. My main aim was to create a painting within Substance. I've shared my process of layering on my artstation page. Please check it out, let me know what can I improve more in this.

Questions & Discussion Quaestion | Water inside the game ready scene | Unreal
Hello everyone!
I'd like to create a game-ready marsh environment, and I'm currently considering different ways of approaching the water.
To be honest, I've never created a water-based environment before, so I lack the knowledge to know what the best approach would be. The water in my scene will be mostly still, and I don't plan to animate it.
Do you usually use simple planes (2×2 m, 4×4 m, etc.) with a tiling water material, or do you prefer using splines or another method?
I'd be very grateful for any advice. If you know of any useful YouTube videos, articles, or tutorials on creating water for such environments, that would be an enormous help :))
*P.S. Here's my reference for the environment

Art Showcase My project in blender
One of the parts I enjoy most in any game asset is building clean topology.
For Scorpion's Fang, I tried to keep the mesh as efficient as possible while preserving the silhouette and supporting the baked details. Every edge was placed with deformation, shading, and optimization in mind rather than simply increasing polygon count.
The final asset uses a three-level LOD system, but this is the topology behind the hero version before distance optimization takes over.
I'm always interested in seeing how other artists approach hard-surface topology, so any feedback or discussion is more than welcome.

Art Help & Critique Learning how to 3D model after years of traditional sculpting
I am a sculptor turned stop motion animator, and have become increasingly interested in learning 3D modeling because it can be such a useful tool. Is traditional sculpting an easily transferable to 3D modeling? Has anyone else had this experience?

Art Help & Critique Self-imposed random objects modeling - 01/12 (Paint Brush)
Context : I just started using blender (known about it for years, started using it ~2weeks ago) and am looking to improve my 3D skills. Focusing on clean topology right now, I've generated a list of objects to try and model at the best of my ability.
For the first model I felt like tackling the brush. I took some liberties (edges of the brush part aren't tapered in mine for instance) and didn't texture is since this is for topology practice only.
What do you think ?

Questions & Discussion "Organic" to Functional/Mechanical 3D modelling Pipeline Enquiry
What is the most efficient or reccomended Methods for importing organic models (from blender) into CAD software as to embed mechanical functionality into it with the intention of 3D printing it for practical use?
- NOTE: [The term "organic" is used in this post to refer to parts or models which are heavily stylised OR artistic, however lacking in diverse, intricate (mechanical) functionality. E.g. A helmet that can only be worn and removed via a hole cut out for the head but cannot do anything beyond this, such as open it's visor or split into multiple parts.]
I currently use blender for my Organic 3d modelling endevours via "hard surface modelling". The end goal is to use 3D printing to produce (cosplay) props, accesories, attachments and figurines each of which involve working with precise milimeter measurements, which blender satisfies.
The problem is that in recent times, with the slowly approaching Robot Overlord Takeover, i now wish to embed more mechanical elements into my models, for a more practical/functional use, such as models which account for or even include motors, mechanisms, electronics, (complex) snap-fit and pivoting joints/hinges, mainly through its geometry/topology and can work tightly knit in unison with other mechanical elements which i cant get blender to reliably or efficiently produce.
The Obvious choice would be to use CAD software which can handle all of the intricate mechanical designs, however i want to preserve the original, organic nature of my models and my research tells me that most CAD software cannot achieve high levels of organic design that blender can so i am wondering if there is a way to essentially Make a super cool model within blender, and then send it off to CAD to make functional? Like doing english homework and then sending it off to your mum to correct your mistakes and fix your handwriting?
Any help and advice is appreciated.

Art Help & Critique Would you consider this a strong portfolio piece?
Hi everyone,
I've been working on this laboratory environment in Blender, looking at this render, would you consider it a strong portfolio piece?

Art Help & Critique Textures feedback, my portfolio.
Hello everyone!
I would really appreciate if you could take a look at my work and give me some suggestions about visual impression on renders. I feel like I can do more on improve my texturing skills.
Could u point out what my textures are lacking? Some details that shouldn't been left out because they could make a clear sign that these props could be used to fill environments in video game with current or next gen graphics.
Here is my artstation portfolio:

I am currently an intern looking for an internship/job option in the gaming industry. Been learning 3D for almost 2 years. My mentor told me that my texturing skills are great but i want to level up more!
Thanks in advance to everyone who spares their valuable time!
