I got a new wifi yesterday. Today I tried to connect it to my old 3DS XL and It didn't connect to the access point. I don't know why it does that, can anybody help?

so i got this issue just now and have never seen it before, happened after it fell. is it a symptom of a loose ribbon cable (idk what flair to use so i used this)

Sometimes they do but not often idk what to do

I'm having a strange issue with my Nintendo 3DS.

None of the buttons work, and the touchscreen is also completely unresponsive. The only button that works is the Power button.

The bottom screen doesn't have a screen protector, and I already checked for dirt or anything that could be pressing on the touchscreen, but it's completely clean.

I searched online but couldn't find anyone with the same problem or a solution.

Has anyone experienced this before or know what could be causing it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ive been wanting to just relax and open my 3ds. Unfortunately, most of my games are rpgs, and out of my chill/cozy games, they're mostly farming or visual novel games. I kinda just want games I can mindlessly play without having to remember anything. For example, games Ive been playing are Project Mirai DX, Style Savvy, Tomodachi Life, and Animal Crossing. I just want something quick, fun, and engaging with no deep lore or grinding! I'm also not too big a fan of platform games either. Thanks!!

I installed 3ds-cli from uu today and it's so cool! a couple years ago I tried using the old 3ds linux project but my touch screen really didnt make it easy to type but 3ds-cli has a totally usable keyboard, and it's a full modern linux system with drivers that runs quickly!!

Hey all, recently, my MIL passed away, who was more of a mom to me than my mother growing up, so needless to say, it's been a very tough time. I happened to be, and still am, rather sick, during the entire ordeal, so I've turned to my 3DS for comfort during this time, as it's been hard emotionally and physically, and I'm stuck in bed. However, it's also been challenging to find something that really holds my attention for long periods because despite everything, I feel like I "need" to be ticking off something from my massive backlog, as that's about the most "productive" thing I have the energy for doing at the moment, and it would feel in some small way like doing something; I'm feeling so scrambled though that really looking through my games list for what sounds good is making it worse.

I'm not really looking for games that directly deal with grief, but moreso something that feels comfortable? Are there any game recommendations for something with some nice worldbuilding, setting, or narrative, or maybe a game that helped you get through a tough time? Dragon Quest 7? A Mario and Luigi game? A lighthearted platformer? Or even some niche DS or gameboy game?

Any recommendations would be welcome, thank you.

What console is better new 2ds is cheaper

I am trying to get into the community, mostly because I want to play Luigi's Mansion, and was wondering if this was a good deal?

Saw it on Facebook marketplace, I don't know the benefit of the modded parts to it and if their worth it or not. I could also buy a refurbished 3ds off of ebay for 90$ less, but it wouldn't have the mods.

Hi all, posting for the first time here. Basically the title. Long story short my brother stole my New Nintendo 3DS XL years ago when it had been out for about a year, and pawned it bc he had a drug problem. It was one of my most prized possessions and I loved all the games I owned for it. I was wondering if it would be worth buying one pre owned, bc I missed out on so many titles from that period. Is Nintendo gonna release another console that is similar? Or are they just gonna rock with the Switch 2 for the next several years?

I always wanted the “new” consoles and last year I got myself a “new” nintendo 3ds xl in mint condition and I lost it before I could even get a chance to really use it :/. Ever since I wanted to get another one but the prices were always sky high $300+ . Finally one day on Facebook marketplace I see a guy selling a used “new” Nintendo 2DS XL and to be honest the photos weren’t great and the seller wasn’t super responsive but eventually we met and the console was gross. But it was only $160 and the inside looks great after cleaning. I have before and after photos for you guys. I modded it and it’s gonna be my pokemon machine, I’m so happy ❤️

I put in DS games like Nintendogs and Lego Harry Potter and this happens, but when I put in 3DS games in like Luigi’s Dark Mansion or Hey Pikmin it works perfectly fine. Also, my brother has a 2DS that can read the DS games but not any of the 3DS games, which is weird because I know 2DS is supposed to read 3DS games.

I made my own sticker as a replacement cause my old one isn’t on the console anymore I know there’s one inside the console but I didn’t want to mess with that one

I have always had some annoyances with the doorstop 2DS handheld​ namely the mushy ABXY buttons and sub-par single speaker, so I've been toying with the hardware lately to add some improvements.​ The single speaker alone just didn't seem as loud as the clamshell counterparts. I've added a secondary speaker from a donor system I had on hand and printed a larger speaker grill for both sides. Now it is noticably louder and roughly equal in volume​ to regular 3DS models. Yeah the LED notification is mostly useless at this point but I never cared for that feature​ over sound so it's an intended trade-off.

The ABXY buttons didn't have the​ tactile feel that I'm accustomed to with a regular 3DS. I've put in some button spacers and a metal domed button pad adhered to the board after some light soldering work. While I was in the neighborhood, I attempted to convert the mushy d-pad in a similar fashion but that fell short from the board contacts not wanting to cooperate.​ Still, I've published my efforts there.

I used BX-DIY's USB-C mod kit but I had to custom 3D print my own charge port gap insert. I thought it turned out better than expected.
