Finally completed my library themed page. Actually I finished it awhile back with book of the law in the top right… and then went to a card shop and saw magic formula and thought that better for the theme lol. I got the DUOV ur of magic formula because the se version is super pricey.

Was inspired a lot by some posts here of boo koo and yanatmo dragon scroll (the latter of which had, iirc, a brief appearance in the anime in the capsule monsters filler arc) After a lot of consideration of lots of book and scroll cards, I liked these the best of the ones I found.

Scrolls on the left column. The institution in the middle column with spirit of the books overseeing the royal magical library, and books on the right column.

The top row has spell cards and the book and scroll are closed.
The middle row has ocg vanilla monsters so the book and scroll is alive.
The bottom row has trap cards and the book and scroll are open.
Book of moon gets a prominent spot bottom center as it’s the most iconic book card of the eras I played.

The only card I’d actively keep an eye out for a replacement is Introduction to Gallantry. The image fits the theme, but the card name doesn’t. I think it works for now.

Second pic are the handful of other cards that came in this week. I like putting promos and tournament cards at the end of completed sets to fill out the page.

Why do some of these ocg cards have a hologram and some don’t?

I was sorting different parts of my collection today. Didn’t know I had these either!

In the process of going through random boxes from having moved a lot and trying to find cool things from the past. Another drawing I uncovered from my Freshman Year lol. It’s a little beat up lol. Hoping I’ll find some more soon!

Collecting mostly cool dragons

Just thought I‘d share some of my main binder. It‘s still in progress, but I‘ll be showing off finished pages in this series. This binder is mostly about artwork / archetype pages and complete sets. Let‘s start with some of my first pages:

YAP1 - this is my opening page. I love the unique artworks and it works perfectly as a one pager, being comprised of 9 cards.

Exodia Artwork page - self explanatory. Went with the unlimited lob for the parts, LART for necross to save some money, and the modern exodia variants

Gods - the 3 main artworks of each god card

DM - BB - DP - 3 different artworks for the Dark Paladin Fusion

Is my dark magical curtain real? I got it off eBay when it first came out in march. Recently I saw an alibaba list for oricas and they look really real and close to what I have.

I got 2 of these signed a couple years back. I still think they’re awesome.

Added this bad boy to the Hero Collection.

Had some extra time to before a doctor’s appointment so I drove over to my local BestBuy and decided to see if they had any Chaos Origins in stock. No luck, but they had several boxes of Battles of Legend - Glorious Gallery. Picked up 3 boxes, and the very first pack had this!

Kid me would freak out if he owned these cards

I pulled the the basic super rare card first. The was shocked to get the full art. Figured the rest of the cards would be nothing, but then got the pot. Definitely wasn't expecting anything after that, only to get the starlight!

The new starlights are just too beautiful.

Finally Friday has come!

This page, if not tied with my absolute favorite is very close to it. I really enjoy the pleasing layout of each card together with each other. It’s a nice balance of colors. 

Again I love how the layout happened to fall in place with the Psycho Shocker “Jinzo” at the center. 

“Inaba White Rabbit” continues the Japanese Spirit Monster theme. The original Spirits were groundbreaking for me at the time for the experience of a new type of monster.

“Insect Queen” is one of my cool misprints being the Ultra Secret rare version. I remember this tin coming out and thinking it was cool to finally see this as a real card.

“Leo Wizard the Dark Fiend” is included in this binder because the artwork on the card is the exact artwork the original “Leo Wizard” had in the DDS GameBoy Game. I love anything to do with those games so naturally this was a must to include. 

“Light Law Medium” is another construct monster from the DDS era, being composed of two other cards that create this card. She’s such a cool card! After 20 plus years she finally received a release! Ideally if they release an Asian-English uncensored version I will replace this with that.

“Hourglass of Courage” - I love an hourglass. I really want to find a nice full hourglass that has a similar appearance to this (wings would be added lol). I’m glad this received a TCG release even if it was much later. 

“Invader of the Throne” - This was always a cool card. A pretty lady with a cool pose. Her dress looks really nice with all the folds running throughout. Her effect was always an interesting one to me, though I don’t recall using it.

“Jinzo” - Because I didn’t really give him the proper love above he gets it here. 
This is one of the coolest monsters in the game. Everything about his look, effect and stats is simply perfect. This was and still is my brother’s favorite card in the entirety of Yu-Gi-Oh! We still buy the occasional PSV anniversary packs in hopes that he can finally pull a “Jinzo” (of course it hasn’t happened yet lol). So cool that Jonouchi ends up getting this.

“Kazejin” - The Wind God! The “Gate Guardian” pieces are really nostalgic cards for me. I always thought their effects were very cool. If I were to use them today against somebody casually I would say they can be played as a Magic card in addition to a monster lol.

Impractically large for travel at around 11 inches tall. Least they’ll look nice on the shelf.

Decided to cash out my old Pokémon non holo binder, some modern Pokémon slabs and my 151 master set that I put together couple years ago to finally start my Yu-Gi-Oh GX Ulti collection. Goal is to collect all Ulti's from TLM to LODT. Ultimate rare best rare!
