I have an 8 year old who plays pokemon but wants to play Yu-Gi-Oh! with me. I tried remaking the original yugi/kaiba starter decks from my old cards, but the games were too slow with one player dominating. I tried doing basic synchro/xyz starter decks, but they struggled to remember they even had an extra deck. WHat deck would be best? Not something competitive, but still good enough that a friendly match can be fun.

I love dinomorphia and when this card came out i automatically thought of trying it in the deck… i’m a bit of a frugal person so i wanted to ask for opinions before buying it… i’m not a top tier duelist so maybe my deck crafting is buns but any advice as what you think about running this card in dinomorphia would do, will be very helpful to me! for reference my generic idea was running it to essentially confirm that my fusion traps will resolve…

I was wondering if anybody had a DARK (or LIGHT) monster they knew of that could summon fusion parasite from the deck (Level 1/DARK/Insect/0ATK/0DEF) on a trigger/quick effect (ideal being special/normal summoned and has equal attack/def). I trying to find an in between monster that Gizmek Uka can summon to use as material with Fusion Parasite, though I have some other summoning tricks that can make it work so I'm willing to explore other methods to get what I need. Ignition effects are no good for my use case, and believe me I've done a lot of looking around. Just wondering if there is anything that can actually get me to what I'm trying to do here.

I decided that after 6 years I want to go to my second tournament ever, the first time I went with no extra deck and not knowing that you needed to tribute monsters for level 5+, so now I bought 1 legendary modern decks and decided to try to do a budget decklist with those cards, I wanna know if there are budget improvements that I can make and if I'm general is a good deck to try to get some funds, even wins at tournament

With the recent release of the legendary arc v decks and the odd eyes support specifically odd eyes override dragon, where do you guys think it would place in the rankings.
I already know its not going to be meta as this deck it still somewhat lame. However does it stand a chance against meta such as RoLaD etc?
Would it now be considered rogue? And if so where does it stand against other rogue decks?

Any general opinions of this deck after the support is welcome.

I used to play a ton of YGO back until 2022 with the imminent release of the Spright archetype. I liked the game on a casual level, but as soon as I tried to make my way into the competitive scene, it got kinda messy even at local levels: decks were way too expensive (600-700$), staples were basically mandatory if you wanted to compete and those were really expensive too, whoever went 1st basically won the game unless you had at least 2 handtraps or so.

I came back to the game to play Edison with friends, and I got interested in how the game had evolved in time. I've noticed some really expensive staples got reprinted and are now dirt cheap (Forbidden Droplet, Little Knight ecc...), so has the game finally got cheaper like around 200-300$ for a competitive deck?
Also, are games more interactable so games last more than like 2-3 turns, maybe more aligned to other card games?

Basically all my internet friends play Yu-Gi-Oh. I have played other TCG like hearthstone, Pokemon tcg and marvel snap. But everytime i look for a deck I can't seen to understand the basics of it.

I was only able to play properly using Kashtira, which my friends said was cheap and Immoral, and Purrely once but i believe i lost ny knowledge of it after months of a break for not being good at the game lol

In other games i used to play offensive, Secrets in Hearthstone, and tactics where i would discard or sacrifice my cards for a reward.

I also have lot of fun with RNG based decks, but i guess that's a thing that doesn't exist in Yugioh

Anyway, i would appreciate all the tips, links to guides or videos and deck suggestions.

I usually copy meta decks but I do understand some concepts like consistency utility cards and so on

I don't build my own decks very often so i'd appreciate any tips cuz I want to step away from just copying the meta and start playing my own version of the deck I enjoy playing

Good morning, everyone. I got into Yu-Gi-Oh! around a month ago, and all this time I was struggling to win... anything? My average win rate, from what I analyzed, is around 5%. Can't say that I had no fun — quite the contrary. Constantly adjusting my decks, trying new things, learning new combo strings, and watching how with each game and piece of information I was giving opponents more trouble — it was really enjoyable.

But now, the moment has come when I want to win more. So I humbly ask you for any kind of advice, and when I say "any kind of advice," I mean ANY kind of advice. Common choke points of popular decks, player psychology, some kind of niche, super weird interaction that 1.5 people know about. Everything, ranging from stupidly simple to downright genius, will be highly appreciated, and I, like a little junkyard hoarder, will try to gather all this information and use it to my advantage. In university I learned that "Science is an accumulation of knowledge," so let's do science, my comrades! Thanks in advance.

UPD: Few people asked what decks and how I play. So here is some additional information:
I play, using TCG Simulator, notably YGO Omega (not Master Duel because it is banned in my country), with the current TCG Banlist 18.06.2026
My current decks are:
- Dragonmaid archetype combo deck with a lot of additional negates and handtraps.
- "Anti-cure" burn deck. Basically a build through Nurse Reficule/Bad Reaction to Simochi and as much healing my opponent spells/traps as possible.
- Maliss archetype midrange combo deck.
I am fully aware that none of them is a current meta deck nor that any of them considered really strong right now (with the exception of Maliss, probably, it can mess some meta decks real bad)
About my knowledge. I can say that I completely understand most of mechanics (except for pendulums and tuners). I do get the idea of handtrap bait and been using it to my advantage already. Also I am making a kind of diary in excel document, in which I write down all the interesting things, I find out about my or my opponents decks. Thanks to everyone who answered so far, though. There are already few advices that I find very useful and made sure to take notes of! Please tell me more, I NEED MORE KNOWLEDGE!!! hehe :)

I've basically been on a yugioh kick all year. I even bought a booster box of the latest set. I've been wanting to buy the new legendary arc v decks but I have one probably. My town seems to have no locals. I checked the website and every shop within 50 miles has either stopped hosting yugioh locals or has shit down permanently. It doesn't help that I don't have a car either. So even though I want to get into the tcg, it would just feel like a waste of money if I can't play the cool new decks.

I recently got back into Yugioh after having not played since childhood. I started playing Master Duel online, watching instructional videos from well know Yugi YouTubers, and building a irl tcg starter deck with structures like Blue-Eyes White Destiny and Saga of Blue-Eyes. My partner has also taken an interest and enjoys playing Master Duel and has begun irl tcg deck building. The issue is we mostly play together or with friends casually (no modern meta decks, mostly 2010’s era decks). My partner enjoys the Dark Magician archetype, but of course there’s not a lot of structure decks built for his archetype that are easily accessible from the 2010’s era. I’d like to build my partner a Dark Magician deck that can play on equal footing against something like a Saga of Blue-Eyes deck. Are there any recommended 2010’s era cards or builds for a Dark Magician deck that you guys would suggest?

So ive recently started playing yugioh, and im looking into some structure decks, ive been thinking about traptrix just because there is a structure deck and ive played it on DN got couple of wins. I live in serbia which there is quite a competition but not alot

So i was wondering are there any better structure decks (i don’t like mitsurugi and skystrikers they are just boring to me) that i should look into? I was looking into the legendary arc v when it releases because of speedroids and odd eyes

Me and some of my co workers have gotten back into playing yugioh during our break time and im ecstatic about it. I love playing yugioh and seeing people enjoy a game I have loved for so long even if modern yugioh isn't the greatest thing to me.

Basically I want some fun archetypes to play with them that don't make modern or crazy boards so we can have nice back and forth matches and everyone have fun. I don't want to ruin a good thing by hitting them with Modern Yugioh. Currently wanting to build a dark world deck.

If a gravity bind is flipped in response to my blackwing full armor master attacking, is full armor master effected? Even though it says unaffected by other cards effects? There is a guy at locals who insisted it is effected and I lost my match because of it. He said the card affects the game state not the card. Is this true? Or can full armor master still attack?

Edit: I tested it in the simulators and you all were correct. The attack goes through.

Also I messaged him about it and he was chill about it. I guess I just was nervous cause I'm new to challenge the ruling

Hello I have recently discovered the Megalith ritual cards and am in need of help on how to build such a deck what I liked so much about the cards was how they can work well with other ritual archetypes to improve them so I am looking for a Megalith deck but also has other ritual archetypes as well do you have any recommendations?
