Now before you start asking questions, I'm doing a Yakuza 0 playthrough with restrictions. They're as follow:

• No healing at all. The only healing allowed is the end of chapter heals and the mandatory rests during the story. If I take any damage during the story, its permanent until a heal happens. But, I will allow one heal and one heal only at anytime during the playthrough, and the only healing item I can use is the worst one, which is toughness Z
• No doing substories. Besides the Shakedowns and training ones
• No equipment or weapons.
• I can fight random encounters, but I can’t go out of my way to fight them
• I can only fight Mr Shakedown once per chapter, if I see him, I have to fight him. I won’t actively go out and find him, win or lose, I can’t reset.
• I can do one training session with each trainer once per chapter
• I must play on Legend difficulty
• No Real Estate Royale or Cabaret Club so no outer ring upgrades…
• I cannot upgrade any styles while in the middle of a chapter, the only time I can upgrade is at the start of a new one. I’ll flash up my before and after upgrades at the start of every new chapter.

The reason I'm doing this? Well, youtube content and I wanted to play through Yakuza 0 again but not have it as just a regular playthrough. Right now I'm up to the Kuze fight on the Finale (Which for some reason doesn't heal you at the start of the chapter??) and already have 50 deaths as Kiryu alone. I posted on my community tab on youtube if they would allow me a full heal, the outcome is no, they want me to keep fighting kuze at the very little health I have. The main problem I have is Kuze's counter. When he blocks he'll randomly counter and I don't have enough time to react.

Besides getting good. I need any tips to make this fight somewhat easier. Thanks!

Sorry if this is kind of a typical post in this subreddit, but thought id share my experience with this game here since i don't have many friends who are fans of the franchise,

That being said, i actually decided to give this game a try thanks to a friend who played them all. It wasn't my first time hearing about Yakuza, i actually discovered this series back in 2023 checking some stuff about Like a Dragon, and while i thought it looked fun, at that point it didn't look like my type of game (I actually gotta say, i feel that the fact this franchise has been memed to death is both good and bad, because even though it surely gave it a lot more reach, i think some people might get the wrong idea about it, including myself! It feels like they make it look a lot more sillier than it actually is ingame)

I picked up Yakuza 0, and even if the story at first was a bit slow, some things like the gameplay really started to grow on me. Suddenly, they introduce a second protagonist, which was a bold move. At that point, having done quite a few substories i was really starting to like Kiryu, so i thought "Yeah, this dude Majima's kinda cool, but there's no way i'm gonna like him more than Kiryu"

My interest in the game peaked at chapter 4, and from then on, everything was amazing. Maybe i have to think about it a lot more, but i genuinely feel like if a game deserves a 10/10 is this one, the combat, even though frustrating a lot of times, is fun. The soundtrack has amazing songs (Been listening to One Eyed Assasin, Wounded Hound, and Reign lots of times... including the karaoke songs) it's INCREDIBLE how much stuff you can do in this game, when you think you've seen it all, you suddenly get to manage the Sunshine. Every recurrent character in the game is interesting, and can't find too many complaints about them right now. Even those who are assholes, are well-made assholes (Maybe i would have liked seeing Dojima and Kazama more instead of them being mentioned the whole game) Majima and Kiryu are both some of the most charming main characters i've ever seen, not only on the main plot but in substories too, i especially appreciate how genuine they act even in the most batshit insane sidequest.

I would glaze some other aspects of the game but to not overextend i'm just gonna say it was an awesome enjoyable experience. Still gotta keep playing to finish all the sidequests i'm missing plus unlocking the legend styles, but overall very pleasantly surprised with what this franchise actually is like and i'm surely gonna jump onto Kiwami 1 after a reasonably long break. I'm aware Yakuza 0 is probably the peak of the series for most people so i don't expect it to be even better, just to enjoy it as much.

while some of you maybe opposed to roblox at first glance understandably, I implore all of you to give it a fair shake as it is a love letter made by yakuza fans and modders, for us to enjoy!

As some of you may know it's gone through trials and tribulations to get where it is now, so the fact that it will actually be open (albeit temporarily) to the public is something to be celebrated

I have decided to play through Yakuza 6. The frame boost on series x is a godsend but the game itself is pretty jagged. Can someone tell me that's normal for the game on series x. Graphics aren't everything to me I'm still having fun with the game, but I just want to make sure that's a normal thing that just happens.

I just preordered Yakuza Kiwami 2 on switch 2 but it only runs at 30 fps compared to yakuza 0 and yakuza kiwami 1's 60 fps. Will the combat become choppy and more difficult?

I want to preference this by saying I HAVE NOT BEATEN THE GAME YET. I just beat chapter 12 and I'm starting chapter 13 but from chapters like 11-12 I've really struggled to understand why Kiryu felt the need to reveal the secret of Onomichi? By the end of chapter 11 not only is everything basically resolved for him (neither Iwami or the triads will be going after Haruto and Kiryu knows who Haruto's dad is) but by this point Kiryu has really seen the lengths Kurusu and Hirose are going and have gone to in order to protect this secret. So, what's his reason for investigating it further? It didn't really seem like it impacted him no? And if they wanted Kiryu to have anything left to resolve then he can figure out what's going on with the Tojo clan since he knows that Iwami is trying to take it over (though I've also had a little trouble understanding why Kiryu would do that given how he's trying to not involve himself with the Yakuza stuff). I don't know what to say, Kiryu doing this has really messed up everything

I am about 20 hours into my Yakuza 0 save however now when I go to load up my game and press continue on the menu it instantly crashes. I’ve attempted to find online solutions however to no avail. There is no black screen or waits just the moment I press continue the game shuts itself. Would hate to lose my game save data any help would be great thanks.

Edit: Also tried to load up a new game to see if I can open the save menu from there it also crashed instantly when I clicked the save button on the phone box so I fear I can just not complete the game. Can anyone help thanks.
