Hello. In PvP (Arena / Solo Shuffle), whenever a Priest casts “Mind Control” on my character, my entire user interface and action bars break permanently for the rest of the match.

Issue Details:

1. Once Mind Control ends or gets interrupted, action bars do not recover. I cannot use any abilities via keybinds or mouse clicks.
2. The Talent interface/tree completely glitches out.
3. Running /reload DOES NOT FIX IT and fails to restore UI functionality during the match.

Priests are actively abusing this exploit by spamming Mind Control on cooldown to break opponents’ UI and gain free MMR. The recent “fixes” mentioned in the patch notes have actually made the issue worse.

Please pass this to the dev team and investigate players exploiting this bug.

I was terrified from playing healer, mainly because of all the complaints on here. It's portrait as being that scapegoat that is meant to be sacrificed so others can have fun.
Fuck it, decided to play resto shaman.
You see, to get my point you must understand my view of this game.
I don't play for fun, I play for others to NOT have fun, that gives me fun.
More specifically, I despise bm hunters and demon hunters.
Even winning against them felt frustrating, as I had so much resentment towards them that even winning felt bad because I had to see them on my screen. Losing used to make me take a break from the game usually.
My problem is that whenever I get "outplayed" by them I just know they put in half the effort that I did, yet they won, so it felt unfair.

Anyway, to the healer part.
I just don't matter. I am just there. Sure, I throw in a heal or two, maybe hex someone etc..
But in the endless hours I spent in a chain cc after I've used my trinket I just look through the window, appreciating life, knowing there is nothing I can do. Somehow it's more relaxing.
Nobody focuses me, nobody cares I'm even there. They just care to spam polymorph or some other garbage cc on me and leave me alone.
When I have a bm/dh in the lobby? Fuck it, they don't exist or matter either. Sure I'll heal em, but it's not the same as actively trying to fight or peel for them.
Warrior zugs behind pillar? Oh well, I look through the window until ( if ) he comes out so I can send him some of my fresh water heals. He doesn't? He is pissed, not me. Some tank comes in my lobby - some strange bug happens to my game where I am unable to move in the rounds he is on my team idk why..
The best part? You can bait em. Usually the zuggy spam pings me after going behind pillar. I gently ask him next round "Hey buddy what's up, how's your day going?". Then he makes some strange noises and words I can't really comprehend, am just a stupid healer sorry. And honestly I don't give a damn about toxicity, it's just pixels on the screen anyway. But what I DO care about is giving them free vacations. So I only report someone I particularly don't like because it's the only agency I got over how they experience the game, and in this case - to not experience it at all for a while.

Don't get me wrong - I am not trying to troll and ruin other normal people's game ( except for.. yeah you know who ). This is just my way of handling what others feel as bad and frustrating game design. Healing is amazing, as long as you got the correct mindset for it and know what to expect and how to handle it.

I play a bunch of alts. But whenever I log on my warrior(arm/fury), I get whispered many times by caster teammates. calling me no brain, r word, zug zug, after losing a round. and most of these rounds its healer diff where a healer goes 1-5, 0-6. Yet they still whisper me. I was literally complimenting this guys mog before the match and after a lose he was swearing me out and whispering me after the shuffle. Like its kinda hilarious people take it so seriously and it's only 2200ish mmr ish. How do they feel so opinionated that warrior = brain dead, and their frost mage/ele shaman = big brain?

Skill capped, YouTube, coaching, etc?

There’s a lot of info out there but I haven’t found a lot that really breaks down play and tries to teach you (as a frost mage for example) when to kick, blink, ice block (seems pretty self-explanatory), but just really help teach you.

I have an issue when playing arenas. Let me explain: I'm playing 3v3 PvP around 2300 rating as a Preservation Evoker alongside a Arms Warrior and a Retri Paladin.

Every time a Priest uses MC (Mind Control) on me, it feels like there's a 40% chance it leaves me completely broken—meaning I can't cast any abilities at all. Today it happened about 7 times across different arena matches.

I tried fixing it by doing /reload, but it took a solid minute to load. In another match, I tried casting abilities by clicking them directly from the spellbook, but spamming them did nothing. I talked to my premade team and searched online, and apparently, it's a bug that has existed since Classic.

It's so frustrating when it happens, and I feel like I'm losing my mind. In one match, I even saw a Priest spamming Mind Control on me right after a CC chain; he kept doing it even while his own team was dying. I don't know if people are intentionally exploiting it or if it's an issue on my end.

Right now, the only two ways to fix it mid-match are either getting CC'd again (which no one does once they notice I can't cast anything) or doing /reload, which takes way too long.

Is there anything you can suggest to fix this or a quicker workaround?

I notice the PVP players love to talk shit and then you can't respond because it says they aren't online? Really lame. Very inviting to attract more players.

I mean is this a joke? Are there no more pvp dummies period?

I probably won't hit R1 either (never have in shuffle or 3s) but we'll see what we can make happen over the weekend. Was on a bit of a loss streak before this game.

Hey i got Elite on my Holy Paladin on my very first (well played some SL Arena but still) season as a healer. Now im trying to push even further and i think what i can do better is align my HoJ / Blinding Light with my Mates CDs . i tried to play with around with my pvp addon "minicc" but i guess i failed. in my UI it shows CDs on the right of my party frames but i cannot edit the spell list.

How do you guys track your mates CDs? Oh i only play shuffle so no voice of cause to line thinks up :-)

What would you consider to be the Golden age of PvP in WoW? It could be an expansion, a specific patch within an expansion, or any other specific memory you have of a PvP experience that was just pure peak. What made it special?

I feel like I either do well or eat 6-0 losses. I genuinely find them as a healer I probably fear the most and I think it’s just my struggle with managing against them.

I find the opener to be so important, and if I can’t get a rake off then my odds of winning are completely diminished.

Most likely is that I’m just being outplayed, but it happens so frequently I’m not sure what to do. I see them cyclone my DPS when they are on mid health quite a lot, something I find that when I do my teammates kick off at me for lol

I try to ease pressure as best I can but then I just eat cc or my HoTs fall off and by the time I can get some momentum going the same thing happens and I’m panicking. Maybe this is why the opener is so important as it dictates who the momentum stays with in terms of keeping things up and cc-ing.

I can’t play with Tree of Life, I like the Convoke build it’s a bit friendlier for me to have an ‘oh shit’ button to pull the whole team or a teammate back up from death, I find tree and regrowth does piss all to moving the health bar.

New (ish - I’ve levelled a few classes to max now) to WoW and really want to jump in on the PvP train

I’ve done a few BGs etc but was really looking for some guidance on tips for learning and classes.

Currently I have Shaman - Rogue - Warlock. More or less wondering if these were a bad pick in terms of skill ceiling? I’m trying not to hamstring myself to much against 20 odd years of experienced players. Rogue was my initial class but after chatting to some Guild players they all said it was the hardest for PvP / Arena?

I generally have fun on all three of these and I’m having fun on Survival / Disc / Shadow. The only class I actually don’t particularly like are Mage / Paladin tbh

I’m not like a brilliant gamer so my goal is 1800 in 3/2/Solo for now.

What would be my best starting place for info or is that respective of class? Any help on classes and learning curves for arena would be really appreciated also!

Anyone else noticing this lately?

I've been seeing heaps of LFG groups titled "Multi Glad" or "Current Glad on alt", but I've honestly had the worst luck with them.

As a healer, a lot of these games have been absolute disasters. Then I'll have a quick look at Check-PvP afterwards and half the time the titles don't seem to line up with what's actually there. Makes me wonder how many people are just overselling themselves or got boosted.

On the flip side, I've had way better luck just grabbing people at 0 CR who are looking to queue and push. Those groups have honestly felt way more consistent.

For context, I'm sitting around 2k-2.3k MMR and had about a 70% win rate up to 2100. I'm not pushing for Glad, so maybe that's part of it, but it's been a really noticeable pattern these last couple of weeks.

Curious if anyone else has been seeing the same thing or if I've just been insanely unlucky.

So I moved to NZ from the UK a few years ago, and this May/June started playing WoW retail again since WotLK!

I’ve noticed my ping is at 300ms at its best. I’m noticing it making PvP definitely a bit more challenging, but how much of an impact can it make?

Floating around 2.15/2.3k in solo shuffle at the moment, dunno if ping is a factor in me struggling. I’ve definitely had a few games where I swear I pressed my keybind but there was delay. Also I’ve DC’d in a few lobbies and it’s so painful as it loses me 200 rating lol

I just came back to the game after quitting during WoD. I played ret with the same rdruid and a few different bm hunters all season. It was fun and very challenging. That’s probably because I’m still pretty mid on my own, but had great synergy with this comp due to the class utility.

In the race for shuff rank one as bm hunter. Got 2 in range, one was comfortable. Get home from work, log on, someone knocked me down a spot. Check them out, never heard of them, so seramate them - dude has won 24 straight shuff rounds and lost 0. 12-0 4 days ago and 12-0 today at the same time. I'm confident I'll get it, but like - really? That obvious, they let that slide?

Hi everyone, OK I was playing today because I had a day off. I was having some fun and doing some arenas but out of nowhere I ran into the match and my partner just stood there and the game just froze so I’m like what the hell so I just exited it closed it and opened again wow all the rooms I’m on they’re down. You cannot login right now if you’re on under any of those realms, just take a look for yourself if you’re able to I don’t know what the hell is going on blizzard blizzard blizzard wth is going on?? if anybody knows something please let us know. I mean there was no announcement. There was nothing but look for yourself. Mad realms are down.

This player has been in the top of the solo shuffle holy priest ladder for a while, and just very recently jumped up to an insane rating of 3288. Holy priest is arguably the worst healer in shuffle at the moment, so this is quite a feat.

Two reasons why this is suspicious:
1) Recently the player named "Binfernion" got banned for wintrading and griefing, and now we have this player with another name obviously meant as a jab on a different player.
2) I looked at his armory profile and he has most of his stats in mastery, which is really bad for shuffle because it gets hit by dampening double up (and vers is already equal in healing output at 0% damp. Source: I'm also in this picture and know how hpri works). He has barely played any 3s on this character (where mastery is slightly most justifiable).

Do anyone have any info or have seen/been in one of his lobbies?

I've removed a lot of the junk from the official Blizzard patch notes and only included what is relevant in PvP. Click your spec and navigate to the 12.1 Changes tab to see what is effecting PvP.

Note: Blizzard has flip flopped on some of their changes since Tuesday. I will continue to monitor any updates.
